Hi! Not quite sure how this dis board thing works but I just found this meet page for our cruise. It will be our first cruise but we have had annual dl passes since the 90's. It is my husband, me and our two kids 7 and 5 by the time we cruise. We also have another family coming with same ages. So excited for the trip! Have been doing lots of research.

Welcome Lizzards!

239 days to go! So I think for our St Maarten day we are going to take a customized Bernard's Tours and do: Loterie Farms zip line, Sarafinas bakery stop, and the Maho beach jet landing. I was just going to book it myself with Bernard's. They have such great reviews on here that I figure it should be a safe bet. Any advice is appreciated.

We just booked and will be joining you all! This is our 5th Disney Cruise and our 1st on the Fantasy! Very excited to get on the Fantasy and cruise Eastern route. :yay:

We too are joining the Disney Fantasy June 2015. Can't wait! Just heard about these kind of blogs and group discussion. It will be me, my hubby and our 2 daughters (8 and 7 at time of sail). It's are FIRST cruise.

Looking forward to it and anything that can make it even more special that I'm sure the Disney makes it.

I am so excited to be going on this trip for the 2nd year in a row, this time with more family!

Me, husband, son (6) and step-daughter (10). Also MIL/FIL, SIL, her boyfriend and their son (3) are going this year! :yay:

Single dad here, just booked this cruise. Will be traveling with DD15. This will be our 7th cruise.

You should totally do the FE! Your girls will be so excited each day to see what's in there!!

Our children are close in age! Maybe they can play together?!?!? Mine will be 6 and 7 on the cruise.

I am excited to meet everyone in just a few months now! Our F/E group is still pretty small - 8 cabins. If anyone is wanting to participate it is a lot of fun. Just let me know - I'm keeping a list. I'll update our roll call. This is finally our next planned cruise! I haven't started planning much on it yet - I just love Eastern Caribbean and am looking forward to a week on the Fantasy! For those new to cruising or Disney cruising we are all happy to help if you have any questions. You can't beat a Disney cruise!

We are so excited! Me, My DH, DS (9yo) and DD (4yo).
:-)
:dance3:

Any suggestion for newbies will be greatly appreciated.

Hello! I honestly didn't know where to type a message. This is our first Disney cruise. I would love to hear about the FE thing, sounds so fun! Myself, my husband, our 7 y/o twin girls, and my parents will be traveling. We all went to DW April 2014, the girls first trip. Any tips appreciated!

Do we want to have a meet on the ship? If so - first day or a sea day? On our last DCL cruise our DIS group had name tags we wore in lanyards so we could spot each other. I did the name tag on one side and a deck directory on the other side. If we do something like that first day is great so we will know each other around the ship. This was a 14 night cruise with a lot of sea days - so we also did a wine tasting party (everyone brought wine and we did it out on the back deck - we also brought sodas for those that did not drink) and a few folks brought the All Hands On Deck cheese platters you can get from room service. It was fun and not that hard to put together - it will just be harder to find a time if we do something like that. We also linked some reservations together so we could sit together at dinner. If anyone would like to do that let me know! We do second seating - Dine and Play is wonderful and we don't like rushing to dinner and being awake for the shows!

Hi everyone. We are a family of 23 joining this cruise (yes, twenty-three!). Looking forward to this trip. We will have 10 adults and 13 kids (kids range from 16 years to 10 months).

Some of our group have been on many cruises with different lines; some have never cruised but we are all excited.

Some of us might participate in the FEs but we are not certain who just yet.

We are a family of 4, loyal wdw Orlando vacationers (annually 5 years running) but first-time cruisers. Would love to do FE. Mom, dad, boys aged 8 & 11. We are moving house at moment, and cabin # lost in moving detritus (will find and forward shortly). Would love advice on early vs late dinner seating for families w/ kids this age.

We will be on this cruise. Myself, my grandson, Samuel (12) and grandnephew, Gregory (15). So looking forward to this week!

I know I just joined this thread, but I was wondering if there was a way that the children on this cruise could "meet" others? This way, when they meet up in the kids' clubs they will already know someone. My grandson (12) and grandnephew (15) are eager to participate. Maybe they can exchange emails. I am a long time lurker on the boards, but this is my first time to participate on a meet thread. If anyone has an idea how to make this happen, let us know!

Please add us to the roll call and we'd like to do the FEs. Will be traveling with hubby, DD (13) and her BFF also 13 at time of cruise. Additionally traveling with my parents (retired). This is our 2nd cruise ever but first time for Disney and We are very excited!!! :yay:

Question.....do teenagers typically do the FE too?

Also....we'll be driving down from GA the day before (9hrs! :drive: ). and staying overnight. Any suggestions on where to stay and how to handle boarding next day?

(Thought I had successfully posted this a few days ago but now cannot find it...so if I missed it and I'm repeating myself..please forgive me) :-)
