**Disney Fantasy June 30th, 2012- EASTERN**

Hi All,
Looks like I am late to the party as usual! :cutie:

My hubby & I have been on cruises before but this will be our first time on a Disney Cruise and I feel like I am learning a new language! I figured out what FE's are and I just signed up for the FE2 group and asked to join the FB page. Does anybody know if there is anything else I need to do to get approved for the FB group???

My kids are DS10, DD7, and DS5.

I know that we will need to make reservations for Palo and the excursions pretty soon. Is there anything else that I need to be doing to get ready for the trip??

I have been trying to plan our outfits for the trip so that we will have fun cruise wear! :laundy:

Can any of you experienced Disney cruisers tell me about the dress code for the meals on board? Is it very fancy at dinner? Do they let you wear shorts or T-shirts in the nice dining rooms?

Thanks! :cutie:

:welcome:Make sure and join us over on FB too. Here is the link and you have to request to join: https://www.facebook.com/groups/153888984652742/

Have you looked at shore excursions, transfers and pre/post activities? Those are some of the things I am currently working on.

I love preparing my outfits and packing for cruises:cloud9:

Well, Disney is pretty relaxed on their dress code in the main dining room but they do suggest no shorts or tshirts. There is one formal night (on Sunday, I believe) Pirates Night is tentatively scheduled for Tuesday so you may want to pack accordingly although there will be pirate attired for sale onboard and Disney does provide fun pirate bandanas in the dining room for this night. I would suggest no jeans, shorts or tshirts in the main dining room but wear what you feel comfortable in. For formal night, you will see those in gowns and tuxes and others in more casual dresses/sundresses etc. I plan to wear a long gown and my girls will each wear a dress and DH will wear a suit with tie for formal night. On all the other nights, I plan to wear sundresses or a nice capri outfit.

Hope this helps! Glad to have you join us!

Welcome to TheCapellsMom.

Thanks for posting the formal night reminder! That was not even in the forefront of my mind! DH and DS17 have a suit but DS15 is growing like a weed and doesn't have one that fits. I might have to wait until the week before the cruise to get him one so he doesn't outgrow it. DD15 and I have plenty to wear!

Oh Boy- 5 people x 7 nights = 35 nice outfits that I have to plan for!!! :scared1:

Do you think I can get away with putting my boys in nice khaki shorts and button-down shirts or polos? Or are the kids required to wear slacks also?

Oh- can the ladies wear nice capri outfits or do most people really wear skirts or dresses?

Oh- can the ladies wear nice capri outfits or do most people really wear skirts or dresses? Capri outfits are great...I plan to wear those too. You will see all sorts of different dress so whatever you feel comfortable in will be great!

See my comments in red above:)

Is there pin trading on the cruise lines or is that just a WDW thing?
I'm excited about our cruise but getting a bit nervous about getting prepped and ready to go. So much to think about.

Yes, there are several opportunities to trade pins onboard!

How is the FE2 group going? Hope all is well. Just let me know if you have any questions. Hope you got my email:)

We are up to 10 groups in the FE2...YEAH! I'm so excited. I have just ordered supplies to make my FE's and hope that you all will love them. I like to get crafty and am making something special you can use on the cruise and after (for any

Thanks and with all the warm weather in VA right now, I'm getting so excited for our cruise.

I was so excited to see e-mails from DCL this morning because I thought maybe our IGT and VGT stateroom numbers had been assigned. But no luck!

I think the e-mails came because we got a small refund on each of the rooms (about $30 total). I'm always happy to get money back, but it was kind of strange.

Anyone else have this experience? Does anyone know why this might happen?

See you all in 99 days!

Me and hubby plus daughter 11 and her BFF 11. It's her bday! We are soooo excited. 2nd Disney cruise. Noticed your room number posts in red. One is the same as my room number :confused3 uh oh!

Did you book a GTY room? If so, do you mind saying when? We made our initial reservations last May, but then rebooked a IGT & VGT at the beginning of this month.

Has anyone else received a GTY assignment?

The anticipation is driving me crazy!

Yes. I actually booked in aug of 11 and had assigned room number. I upgraded about 2 months ago to large porthole gty 8c. Just got my room on deck 8. Was supposed to be deck 7 or 8 so happy about that.

I am happy you were able to upgrade. We were originally in 2 inside cabins, but upgraded one to a verandah room and actually saved a lot of money by moving to GTY!

I am happy you are pleased with your room assignments.

Regarding the FE, it's a lot of fun! My son and are are working on our gifts right now!

What is an FE group?

I am just learning too, but an FE group is a group of people that gift special treats, trinkets or gifts to each other while aboard. Perhaps like a secret Santa throughtout your cruise...but each person participating makes or purchases something to gift to others throughout the week. They can be handmade or purchased. FE is a fish extender pocket that you place outside your cabin to receive things thought the week. There is lots of info on this board or the FB page if you keep reading. If you want to join in on the fun look back a few posts, as i have posted the link for the second FE group.

For all of the FE group 1 people - I sent out a new updated list today. Check your emails.

For the FE 2 group - how is it all going? Need any help?

So how is everyone's planning going?

I am sooo excited because I just bought a new swimsuit that I LOVE! swimsuit shopping is always so hard, and I am so glad I found one!!!

Today bought a dress for DD for formal night, she looks so pretty.

Started work on our FE gifts, and I am scouring the websites and reading my Passporter in earnest.

Anyone decide on the excursions they want to do?

In St. Maarten we are probably just going to walk to the beach and walk down Front street. Not sure about St. Thomas.

How dressy are you guys going to be for pirate night? I think we will do tshirts.

What are you guys doing for planning or getting ready?

The FE2 Participants discussed the FE2 group and will be capping off our numbers at 20 as well, or by May 1st. If you would like to join us, please click on the link provided and give us your information. We don't want to exclude but want to allow time for everyone to prepare their gifts and get ready for our cruise.

Please sign up if you are thinking about joining the group before May 1st!

Thanks,
2go2disney
