6/23 is a "family honeymoon" gift for my daughter and her new husband and new step-daughter - can't think of a better way to welcome new family members!!
6/30 is for my dh & I to recover!!!

I'm probably going to come off sounding like a party pooper here, but I think the end of May is too late to close the group.

I would vote for the end of April at the latest. My May is still fairly open, but June gets very busy, as we're going to be out of town two of the weeks, and my kiddos have team camps the third week. Then, we leave the fourth week!

So, that's just my vote.

Also - again - will check on a place to have a meet (or we can check up with some Fantasy sailers after they're back) while I'm on the Dream in April.

Welcome! I saw your info on the newest list - we'll have to chat. My daughter will be 7 at the time of sailing, too. She can be pretty shy, but "knowing" someone in advance might help her out. My boys are pretty outgoing, so she usually clings to them, and then wishes they'd do "girl things" with her

I would agree that the end of May is too late to officially close the group. If we close the group officially at the end of April, we could still let others join with the understanding that they may or may not receive something from everyone. The last cruise I was on we did that & when I went to deliver to the "extra" rooms they had items from other cruisers in their FE, so it seemed to work out for them.

I am very excited about this trip! Less than 5 months now. How the time flies!

Hi all,
We just booked on this cruise - better late than never! This is the 2nd Disney cruise for our family and we are very excited. My husband and I are celebrating our 10th wedding anniversary and will be traveling with our two daughters ages 9 and 7. I'm looking forward to reading back through this thread.

Congrats on the anniversary! What a great way to celebrate! My husband has opted not to join us. But my parents and sister will be joining me and my DS5, so I know it'll still be awesome.

I have done some reading of other threads about FE groups (okay, a lot of reading ), and several suggest you cap the number of cabins because it can be a bit difficult to deliver the gifts. I have seen 20 as a recc. amount, and we are currently at 18.

I am making and ordering different parts of our FE gift, and that may be tricky if we have a lot more people join.

Just my $.02 which is about all it's worth.

I agree with this 100%. In fact - I think the email from Kelley last night had our current cabin count is actually **at** 20.

So - I say - let's close up shop. I purchased a few things already to make mine, and I had to round up to 20 - so even if we don't close it, I'm afraid I won't be able to provide for the extras, as the item I purchased is no longer available

Prior to our last Disney cruise last year, there was quite a group of girls that "met" through the DIS connections and who sent emails around (via their parent's email addresses) to say hi and introduce themselves. Perhaps we could do that again. Our girls do not yet know that we are booked on this cruise but we plan to tell them a bit closer to the travel time!

I am going to have to agree at closing the FE group. I am getting confused at who is who. So as of today (2/16/12) it is officially closed.

BAMBINA - I do not believe I have you on the list unless you are one of the people who I do not have a DIS name for. You would know you are on the list if you have been recieving emails from me. Let me know and I am sure if it was a mistake and you were not added to THIS list I am sure no one would complain if I made you the last family added as it was probably an oversight on my part.

Absolutely! Perhaps in April or May we can start an email exchange. Anyone with interested kids can PM me through DIS or message me through Facebook with the appropriate email address to use and we can have the kids introduce themselves.

My husband gave me a mickey waffle maker for Christmas.

And he calls **ME** the addict?!?!?

So, my kids wake up with Mickey waffles calling their name on a weekly basis.
