**Disney Fantasy June 30th, 2012- EASTERN**

WELCOME to all the new cruisers!!!!!

I just wanted to get this posted out there in case it affects any of you...

there was a post on the boards about the new "addition" to the DREAM that obstructs some of the views of the verandahs. If it is no big deal to you then don't worry, but if the FANTASY is built the same way, which most are assuming, then some verandahs might have a small obstruction. We ended up switching rooms to avoid this.

Here is the thread...

Please add me and my kids to the list. I am officially booked as of today. We will be doing a B2B on the June 30 and July 7 cruise. This will be our 2nd and 3rd Disney cruise. It will be myself (old), DS (18) (who will be graduating H.S. in May 2012) and my DD (16). I am so excited to get started on the fish extender things. I am a teacher, so now I know what will be keeping me busy all summer long!!!!!!!!!

DCLaholic-mom,

Welcome! We have kids that are the same age and I have a son who is graduating in June 2012 and will turn 18 five days before the cruise. Do you think your son will participate in the teen club? From what I understand, teens who have not started college yet can participate.

Hi! I do not know what he is going to do. I am reading different stories everywhere. One says that they can do the teen club, others say no. Either way, we can get them together so they can meet and maybe hang out with each other. I will let my son know and see what he says. Mine is a little shy.
This is all going to be so much fun!!!

Just got off the Magic (western Carribean) yesterday and can't wait for our
2nd Disney cruise on the Fantasy:cool1:
It will be me, DH, DS (10) and DS (8) on this one. It could get a little crowded at the pools on the Magic so I am a little worried about the Fantasy since there will be more people. Only disapponting thing that happened was we had to make a stop by Kew West on our way to CC because there was a medical emergency. We did not get to CC until after 12:00 and had to leave before 6. We will have to start a FE list as it gets closer to cruise time. My kids LOVED getting little surprises in theirs every day.
Lisa

I hope we get to do FE's. It looks like so much fun. We did not have them on our 2004 cruise. That is what I plan on working on this summer while on vacation!!! I am so excited. I know I keep saying that! But I am worse than a kid.

My guy is quiet also. Likes video games, any type of "board" sport and plays baseball and football. Hopefully they will have something in common. I am pretty sure they are allowed to participate in the teen club. I hope they do because it will keep them occupied.

Welcome Lisa!

Add me to the list!

My husband (29 at cruise time) and I (28 at cruise time) will be cruising for the first time! Yea!!!

We are going and are so excited. We've been on the Wonder & are looking forward to this cruise, especially during the 4th of July!

My family will be on this cruise. Two boys, who will be 9 and 11, plus our baby girl at 18 months. Looking forward to cruising Disney after a 5 year hiatus.
:cool1:

Quick hello! We are booked for our first Disney Cruise. At sailing time, my children will be DD7, DS6 & DS3!!

Looking forward to planning and will rely on those with more experience for some direction!

I am so glad to see that there are new cruisers coming. You are going to have a great time and so are all of the kids.

Count us in!:banana::banana:

Just off the DREAM today from a B2B. Had a great trip and booked this trip while on board. :yay:

It will be me, DH, DS(12), DD(9). In room #9672. It will be our 5th Disney cruise.

We spoke to several cast members on the DREAM who will be applying to transfer to the Fantasy.....sounds like they are enjoying working on the new ship but want to be on longer itinerary.

Looking forward to planning this cruise......unless the Magic or Wonder come out with a summer 2012 itinerary that we can't pass up.:confused3

Welcome, Pyrdum. It looks like there will be several kids in the 10 - 13 age group that are on this thread so that will be fun. We won't be telling our DS until his birthday next year. His birthday is March 29th. This will be our 2nd Disney Cruise and our son loved the last one we took in 2007 so I am sure that next year's birthday will be a lot of fun. We figured if we told him then he would still be able to participate in all the planning of the excursions.

Just wanted to drop in say "Hi" to everyone. This will be our 5th DCL cruise and first 7-nighter since Sept '09. The anticipation of being on this new ship for a week is killing me.

It'll be me (44) DW (46) DS (15) and his friend (15). Our cabin assignments are 7068 and 7069.

Looking forward to meeting everyone. :thumbsup2

Talk about Anticipation!!!!! We are way over a year out and I am living every Saturday online doing something to plan. I am the worst big kid ever. We havent been on DCL since 2004, so I am DYING to get on one of the ships. I teach, so this summer I will be making FE's whether I am the only one or not. I that will help keep me busy!!!!!!!! I am ashamed to say that I have already pulled out some of the cruise music, although I really need a lot more.

I can't wait for this cruise. Even though cruising out of Galveston would be great, as I live in Houston, you just can't beat going to the Virgin Islands on DCL over the 4th of July IMO!

I am still in with my daughter (24) and her BF- and added two more cabins to my list. My mother, sister, nephew (age 12), & my son (age 17) are now on board. I probably wouldnt have done the FE but now with my nephew going I really want to. Is someone organizing something? I am also a teacher and would like to work on it this summer.
