Disney Fantasy, August 18, 2012 - Western Caribbean

We got 11am too! I'm very happy. :) We also got all the excursions we wanted. I was really surprised that at the 75 day mark we got what we wanted!

I just need to decide on whether I want to book any nursery time. Looks like there's still a lot open. My mom and sister are travelling with us and they love watching DD, so I may not need it.

Oh, for excursions we're doing the Dolphin Encounter in Grand Caymen, the Chacchoben ruins (I'm not, but people in my group are), and the Atlantis submarine in Cozumel. I'm staying on the boat for the most part (except for the dolphin excursion) since my little one won't like the other excursions and needs to nap anyway. I'm hoping to enjoy a slightly quieter ship. :)

Getting excited!!:yay:

I also have been able to book without problems: Cheer2:
jeep explorer at Cozumel wit DCL ang chachobens ruins with the native choice: Woohoo:
My boarding time is 13-13,30 hours.
didn't want to get up early: El café:

is there somewhere where I can specify that I need Spanish waiter?: Flower3:

question.. I book palo for 6pm and my inlaws are doing their 1st cruise so they had to wait till today to book and was only able to get the 8pm time.. is there anything i can do to try to be able to do palo together. Also We book cayman island tour for 10:30 but it shows the ship is porting at 10:45.. Not why the 10:30 would be offered?

Hello Fellow Cruisers!

So glad to read that most of you new Disney cruisers got the check-in time, dining and excursions that you wanted!

:welcome: to the DIS as well as our cruise meet!

I think the only thing you could do with Palo would be to change your dining time to match theirs - 8 pm.

I've read other posts about an excursion starting before "all ashore" time. Eh, you'll probably be meeting up somewhere on the ship to go ashore together and head immediately to your excursion.

:banana::cool1::yay::dance3:
We are 2 families from Montreal:
Myself, DW, DS10,DS10 ( identical twins)
DF, DFW, DFS10, DFS7
My family was booked on the Magic 3 years ago and had to cancel 3 weeks before sailing due to a serious illness to one of the twins.
Now we are all healthy and excited to spend a week on the beautiful Fantasy.

Welcome aboard gmayers, DVCMan15, and TonytheWop!

Only 73 days to set sail, so it is probably just about time to finalize the Fish Extender (FE) List. If any of you three would like to participate, please let us know and we will add you to the list.

Welcome Tony!! I'm so glad your DS is well now. Have you cruised DCL before or was that ill-fated trip on the Magic going to be your first?

I agree, the Fantasy looks simply stunning and I can't WAIT to see her.

Welcome all new people to our cruise!!! It is getting so close now.

Everything is coming along. I got our pirate gear, our trading pins stuff is in, I still have to put together our fishextender gifts together. But my fishextender pockets arrived!!!

If anyone is interested I orderd at set of 25 pins from ebay for 15 so my kids have extra pins to trade on this ship. :cool1:

I have a beach question, do they allow you to bring shovels and pails to the beach? I know this sounds silly, but I have not been on a cruise since 10 years ago on my honeymoon?

I just had a student come back for the Fanstay cruise and the dad said it was amazing his only complaint was that the pools get very overcrowed on sail days.

Yes, you can definitely bring shovels and pails to play on the beach. Nothing (sand, shells, pebbles) is to be taken off of the island to be taken home. Well, I'm sure if there's a few grains of sand left in the pail nobody will come after you. :rotfl:

Do any of you own a timeshare with Disney? If you do, I have some questions for you.

I think DVC_Chris may own. ;)

Thank you,

I think I im going to need an extra suitcase for all this stuff!!!

I hear you! I'm thinking of mailing a box down to our pre-cruise hotel and I might just bring an extra suitcase for the trip back. Those dang baggage fees are gonna kill me.

I have personally owned DVC since 2001, and my parents bought when I was a teenager back in 94. There is very little about DVC that is worth knowing that I don't know :)

If you have any questions, feel free to ask or PM me :goodvibes

That is why we are driving this time! There is too much to pack and the kids are older - they need a long drive with lots of sibling fights to file in their memory banks just like I have.;)

Ugh, you're disgusting.

Are you sure you wanna be on the parents' side of the seat for these? ;) :rotfl:

I will probably be sitting between two kids like my mom did. The twins are old enough and tall enough they can sit in the front. It might be nice - I can watch movies with them.:yay:

Unless you breath on them...

Daaaaaadddddd, Mom's breathing too loud..... :lmao:

Gonna have any more kids so that you too can enjoy these whiny conversations in a few years, Chris?

There are days that I'm so glad I have only one!

I the last of three and I always had to sit in the middle!! THe HORROR! and the memories are great!!! I have to say I was happy when my parents brought one of those station wagons with the third row sit that faces the oncoming traffic. It was all MINE!!! along with the luggage :lmao:

Were flying down. there is 10 of total going.
