Im back after a couple of rough weeks. My beautiful MIL passed away last week and we were in ireland for the week for the wake & funeral. Thanks for all your prayers and good wishes, shes outve pain now and in a much better place.

I am so sorry for your loss. We traveled a similar road with FIL a few years ago and it was a sad, bone weary time. We had planned a WDW trip that occurred two months after our loss, and that was such a change to joy that it refreshed us all in a way we desperately needed. I hope your family experiences the same with the cruise.

I always have trouble knowing what to give the teen boys in the FE exchange. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!!!!

Anyone headed to a resort or beach on their own in Cozumel?

I second the idea of candy or food of any sort (snack stuff) is always loved by teens. I teach high school and you would be amazed the length my students will go to earn a tootsie pop!

Our 2nd Disney cruise with my DH, DD (10ys) and other DD (9 yrs). I looked for the RainForest passes but only see GC under the gift section. Is this where you purchase "a ticket"?
Also, looking for help making personalized door nametags. Know of anyone that could help me this short of notice? thanks in advanced!

I so know what you mean about panic mode. We leave in 1 week and 6 days. I just can't imagine being ready in time. Real life is just getting in the way. I've tried packing. Thought it would be easy to get that out of the way because we are packing all our summer gear and its winter here. But I think I'm going to have to pull it all out and start again to get rid of some of it. I still haven't finished my FE gifts that I've been working on for months. Almost there but still a bit to go.

On top of that the kids dance competitions start the day after we get back. So I've got costumes and shoes etc to organise so that we can just pick it up that morning and leave. Its amazing how many last minute things I have to do for that, in amongst practising the dances all the time.

Oh, you all leave soon! Well, take some deep breaths and know you will get done what needs to get done. And remember, you are traveling to a place where you can get anything you need if something should be forgotten. I have this habit of packing like we are traveling to the depths of a remote village in Africa for a month

DS starts school the Monday after our cruise. He's one of those kids who MUST have everything ready. to. go. that first day of school. He can't just grab a pencil and a bound notebook. Oh, no. He MUST have the exact binders on the supply list... labeled.... filled with paper... in his backpack, 3 dozen pencils, erasers....

So we're getting ready for school right now, too.

Oh, we are doing the same thing. My older three all start back that Monday (the youngest attends the private school where I teach and we start Wednesday...so a little more breathing room). My older dd is just like your son and needs to have the supplies in an exact form. She really likes school and was thrilled the other day when we purchased all of her supplies. Later that day she sat encircled in our family room quite delighted to organize her book bag. Her older brothers found the whole scene disturbing LOL

I purchased a two day pass for the rainforest I called the Disney Cruise line and charged it, they will put a card in my stateroom.
If you go one line to Disboards Creative Disign you will find people who will have pictures you can print and then put magnets on them. Have fun it's great looking through all the creative peoples files.

How about the Vista Cafe (deck 4)? It's an inside, mid-ship (and air conditioned!) location. This came up on the cruise Facebook page today. 2:45/3:00 start time. Thoughts?

Just found this site and can't wait to "meet" some cruising buddies! We are Amy (the crabbymom), DH Jeff, DS Noah (8), and DD Abby (5). This will be our second cruise ever. The first was on the Wonder in November 2010.

I finished booking our excursions today:
Grand Cayman - Stingray City Snorkel Tour
Costa Maya - Chacchoben Mayan Ruins
Cozumel - Salsa and Salsa

Definitely looking forward to my spa pedi appointment and dinner with DH at Palo!!!

I am new to the FE stuff. Is it too late to join that?

Hi! I am from NJ also, Ocean County and we don't start until 9/5 either. We will also be at WDW for 5 nights post cruise at the Beach Club! Where in NJ are you from? I have 2 boys, 12 & 10

We live in Bridgewater - pretty much smack in the middle of NJ - about 25 minutes northwest of New Brunswick. I work at Rutgers - so not far (I hate commuting!!). I'm originally from Monmouth County - near Red Bank so probably not far from where you are. What town in Ocean Cty?

By the way for all of those not on FB - we're in for meeting at 2:45 pm on arrival day at the Vista Cafe -

We are booked our first cruise in about 8 years on the new ship I am so excited I was determined to wait for a new ship. Four cruises on the Magic starting with Inagural year. Looking forward to the Fantasy and all the new experiances. Also DVC SS and BW spending one wonderful day in Disney before our cruise. Celebrating our 25th even though it is now our 27th!

the only thing I've done so far is book the cruise - I used Dreams Unlimited and got the $200 obc - I booked a guaranteed verandah room - so I don't know where I'll be yet. Just ordered trip insurance through an outside company. Now I'll start reading this thread.

I know not to expect to be part of the FE - that's ok. I will try to make the meet and greet - and I just asked to join the Facebook group.
