Disney Fantasy After Dark

WOW, thanks for the pictures. I have taken many early morning walks while most people are still in their staterooms but it was always when the sun was up. I'm going to have to take at least one late night walk on deck our next cruise. Thanks for sharing!

Canon 6d with a pancake lens throughout the cruise. Took about 1700 pictures throughout the week that I am sorting through, hahha

No. It means I am one! I stay up way too late at times. It's usually reading or something like that. It would be nice to have the pools open later though.

Okay, sorry...sometimes it's hard to tell. No worries. :goodvibes

I'm not a night owl but I do get up naturally at 6AM. When we were on our Alaskan cruise I was up at 3AM almost every morning walking the ship. The night shift cast members were always asking if I needed something or something that they could help with and I didn't see but one or two other vacationers up. The ship is very quite and peaceful during these times. It would be nice if there were something open where you could sit down and enjoy a good coffee.

On the Dream I was amazed at how many were still out and about at midnight. I wonder if that is because it is such a short cruise. I am hoping next week on the Fantasy I can have some moments like the ones in you pictures with hardly no one around. One night I was watching the lights in the water and then they went off....I was like Awwwhhhh :( I guess it is time to head back to the room. I guess I just didn't want that day to end. Disney cruises are so awesome!

:thumbsup2 Agreed whole-heartedly. Sure, you can grab a coffee from the beverage station...but then what? If they kept the Cove Cafe open, you could stay there and enjoy your coffee, perhaps socialize with fellow night-owls, etc.

One thought I've had for a while for DCL ships, was that since they do not have casinos, a good "compromise" could be a Dave & Busters type space. Gives the people who don't want to go to bed by 10pm something to do other than the dance club. It can serve as the regular arcade most of the day for the kids, but be adults only from 10pm-2am. There could be some sort of cafe in there that had a full bar, served snacks, specialty coffees, etc. Could be quite the revenue generator for DCL.
