Hi all!
Just recently booked a small group of us as a surprise for my parent's 40th anniversary! A few of us have birthdays too. There will be 13 adults and 3 little ones. Maybe half have sailed before but never on the Fantasy! Very excited!
I was wondering is the FB group private? My mom still does not know and I would hate for her to see me join the group!
Really looking forward to this!

We just put down deposit! My husband isn't that interested but it's what I wanted to do for my birthday and our 20th anniversary. I'm hoping to meet some fun people that will help him see why I love the Disney cruise. I'd love to join your FB page. That was so cool to meet people in advance...we had one for our western Carib cruise out of Galveston last fall. I'm so excited! I've only been on Disney and have no intension of trying anyone else. =)

I booked our flight this morning. The prices were increasing literally before my eyes. In a matter of an hour the price of airfare increased twice! It was so nice when we could cruise from the West Coast and didn't have to fly.

We just got off of the Magic and while on board we booked this cruise for what will be our 9th Disney cruise. We will experience the Fantasy for the first time in two weeks and we were able to book the same stateroom. It will be just my wife and I, 59 and 58 respectfully.

This will be my 9th Disney cruise too! =D

Anyone interested in the FB group needs to request access via FB, and then PM me either here or on FB with their disname and their full name so I know who to approve. On FB, I am Stephanie Adams Jackson from Shiloh IL.

Also, if you are interested in the FE exchange, please also include your email address so I can give you access and edit privileges to the Google doc that houses that information.

If you aren't familiar with the FE exchange, it's a little gift that is dropped off in something you hang outside your door called a Fish Extender - search for it on eBay and you'll get the idea. Those in our group will get a list of stateroom numbers involved and will drop off gifts throughout the cruise - usually small items, sometimes Disney related, sometimes related to where you are from, can be done adult/kid specific or can be for the family. For my last cruise, I got the $1 photo albums from Walmart and took out the generic cover and instead inserted a piece of Disney scrapbook paper in its place so that everyone had a photo album for their cruise pictures. Some people do candy. I've also received votive candle holders, really cool Disney related magnets (which get stuck on our stateroom door), post-it pads personalized for the cruise, etc.

As for group activities - these vary from cruise to cruise. I know some are planning to meet at Top of the World at Bay Lake Tower for fireworks the night before we head to port. As for on the cruise, I don't think any have been planned so far. There is an activity summary on the FB page if anyone is interested in heading up a meet & greet event on the ship... they can edit that doc and include it there.

I am on this cruise also, me and hubby only... Would like to do the FE but if it gets to be tons of people joining in could we divide the FE into groups? That way no one has to provide gifts for say 50 or 60 staterooms? Did a FE last year on the Dream and there ended up being 5 groups of 20 which made it manageable for all of us. I am in stateroom 5656

We are at about 30 staterooms for the FE right now. If you PM me your email address, I'll give you access to that Google doc.

I'm not against a smaller group forming, but I'm not going to organize it. My hands are full as it is.

I just ask that anyone that splits off into a smaller group remove themselves from the larger group Google doc so that we aren't doing gifts for people that aren't going to be returning the favor.

Well..... I (Lisa) played a quick game of "Would You Rather??" with my kids (Kamryn - DD age 12 and Kason -DS age 9)

"Would you rather go back to WDW for Fall Break or go on another Disney Cruise?"

The answer??

I am getting all the final plans in place to book this cruise!

We have sailed the Wonder July 2008 and the Magic July 2009 and have heard nothing but great things about the Fantasy!

We had a blast with the FE exchange on the Magic and would like to join for this cruise as well!

Also traveling with us will be my Mom, Connie (aka on Disboard as Granny Hawkins)
