Yes, unless you're talking about morning EMH...they won't let you into the park at all.

smitch425 said:You're correct. I was talking about evening. You can't "remain in the park" unless you were let in to begin with.![]()
But now that they have cut out evening EMH characters, cut down EMH from 3 hours to 2 hours AND just cut the number of Magic Kingdom evening EMH to one day a week, what are the advantages of staying on-site and paying more money![]()

I was just asking my dh that very same question, and I really like being onsite.![]()
I have a feeling they're weaning us off of EMH and will be introducing special FP+ perks to onsite guests.
I'm going to UO/IOA for the first time in August...you can buy a pass that will get you express line access for one time per ride for the day, the price depends on how crowded they expect to be. The more crowded, the more expensive, but the more you need it.
However, if you stay onsite with them, you get an unlimited express pass that gets you onto any ride that uses it (most of them) as much as you want all day long... No waiting for windows to open or timing your FP around your meal....
Don't you think people would stay on site for a similar perk at WDW?

I was just "resort shopping" for my next trip, but reading about all the changes, and knowing that FD isn't looking good, I think I'll be staying off property for the first time ever. With a family of 6, the perks don't seem to justify the cost any longer.![]()

Ditto! My family is feeling the same. Not so sure what our relationship with Disney will be in the future. We are DVC members, but you know, that can change too. Or, we'll just keep our membership, and venture off property. Just not sure yet.
