My son was watching a Rix Flix vlog today, and according to a USA Today poll, Magic Kingdom was ranked number 9 in favorite parks. Inconceivable in the past.
One thing though that makes you take it with a grain of salt though is Seaworld was ranked number 1 in the same poll.

I wouldn't worry too much about anything that's in a Rix Flix vlog, he's just another 1 of those YouTubers who put things in their videos and title their videos to get people to click on them (click bait) because they make money off of every view of the video.

I’m not sure how much you can read into this. A few years ago they apparently weren’t on the top 10 at all on the poll, so technically this is an improvement.

Well it really depends on who they polled. If Sea World came in #1, maybe it was mostly coaster enthusiasts who voted because there is no way it beats Magic Kingdom in any other category.

It's an email campaign that SeaWorld participated heavily in. Emailing their marketing list and, in some cases, offering discounts, free items, etc, for a response to the survey (guess what your response may be if said company asks/rewards you for your participation). Many companies do this in all industries to get better traffic. If you have crowd control problem and are just trying to maximize profit, your approach might not be to participate in this, rather send targeted emails to upsell high net worth spenders, who will already be onsite. I do like the smaller companies getting exposure though-- those parks have a great tie to the communities they serve and a charm that's hard to resist :)

Oh no, WHY… that’s so sad and I hope ur visit gets better !
Thanks, that's kind of you. :-) Don't get me wrong, it's not a horrible trip. It's just not a good Disney Trip. This isn't a good time to visit WDW. I wish we'd held off and gone somewhere else for now. They just aren't ready yet for the number of people they are allowing in. It's crazy pants. We stopped at the beach on the way here and it was much more fun. I'm really wishing we'd just rented a really nice beach house for a week instead.

That is a very coaster heavy list of parks. Surprised MK even made the list. Given the make up of that list, I would have dropped MK and put IOA on there. Really surprised neither Universal Orlando parks made the list.

Poll is suspect. SeaWorld #1? Really? Over Universal/IOA? Over Cedar? Heck even Six flags?

This is actually an improvement! A Walt Disney World park hasn't been listed in the 10Best since 2017.

I'd like to personally send out a HUGE congratulations to all the Disney executives for their hard work and to all vloggers/bloggers that will make clickbait bucks off of this complete rubbish

At the end of the day all that matters is money. Revenue. And Disney is the king. That is the only poll that will ever mean anything to the execs so I highly doubt they are losing sleep.

This poll seems to have more of an enthusiast centric slant to it. If you love coasters you probably aren't going to Disney.

Isn’t there ‘nominations’ to vote from?

How much money is being passed under the table 🤣 I don’t trust their process lol

I'm one of those that actually voted for Seaworld and also it happens to be that Mako is my favorite roller coaster. Although I am a Disney fan, when I look at the overall value, I have to say that Seaworld gives the most value. They are the theme park that everybody seems to kick around, but it seems they try extra hard to please. I've been a pass member and have been treated so well with all the offerings. Christmas at Seaworld is prettier than any other park and puts me in the Christmas mood better than any of the Disney or Universal parks. Mako is my favorite roller coaster because it does not make me dizzy or toss my head and back out of joint. It's thrilling with height and speed. It's the only roller coaster I can ride over and over and at certain times, there's hardly a wait. Now, I have to say Hagrids and velocicoaster is about to overtake Mako, but given how relaxing it is to go to Seaworld compared to the crowds/lines at the other parks, Mako will still be up there. Many of the the parks that made the list are the smaller more regional parks. I think the key is value. It's amazing how much value you get elsewhere when you step away from the 2 big guys. I still love the big guys, but the return on my dollars is significant less from them.

Could not agree more. Seaworld does a great Christmas event. I still prefer Universal for the variety of rides and shows. Disney is purely nostalgia for me now, which means if I go once every couple years I'm satisfied. I still love to see what's going on with the parks, but it's starting to turn into one of those things where you are just keeping tabs in hopes that it gets better but inside you know that special feeling just isn't going to come back.

Yes, I am in the same boat. I recently rediscovered Universal and have been having such a great time with all their new rides. Went back to Magic Kingdom and it was a huge hassle starting from trying to get reservations for everyone in our extended family. It's Nostalgia that brought me back, but that's the only Disney park we went to that week and I think we a done for now. The experience has been going down hill for years. There used to be a lot of little things that make Disney special....

Totally agree. My last trip was UO and Seaworld only, and it was fine. And I agree that Seaworld's Christmas decorations and events are far superior to Disney.
