Just inside 100 days for our next DW trip (first since CV-19). Got a 3 BR at AKL, super excited! As many of you, our family has vacationed at DW more times than I can count and long time DVCers. My anxiety comes from not having fast pass option. We are taking close family friends and their children for their first visit. It's always been so calming to know the fast passes are in your back pocket to avoid wait times. First week in April I am sure will be busy. Any one have any advice that have made a trip in the last few months?

After 2020, hard to complain about 'not' having FP option but any tips/suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

I would say first to forget how you did Disney in the past. It's a brand new experience in many many ways. That being said my top tips continue to be the same a before:
Rope drop is key. That first hour to two hours are golden and you can get many things done fast
Stay until closing. The last hour is also really good for most attractions
Only pick 3 priorities per park. You'll be able to accomplish those easy and then the rest it's icing on the cake
Use mobile ordering smartly. Plan your meals each morning and book your reservation time. It'll save time when it's time to eat
Don't overplan, go with a loose schedule and be ready to zag while others zig

There are plenty of reports in the just back thread, definitely read those.
Ultimately a trip to WDW should not give anyone anxiety. A positive attitude coming in will help you more than you know

Honestly, we like it better without fast pass and wish it was permanent. We don't have to plan our day in advance. Lines constantly move without fastpass peeps being fed into them. Even the hour lines seem more bearable this way. We have really enjoyed our time here over the crowded Christmas week. I realized waiting in lines isn't as bad as fastpasses had trained me to think.

Only difficult part is getting into table service if you don't book early, but even there we have done well enough. Nothing to be nervous about in my opinion.
