Disney Every Day - Update 10/21 – 1, 2, 3! We’re Leaving for Orlando Tomorrow!

Happy New Year Erin!!! Hope is going to flip out that you are into Dr. Who! She's a diehard. ;) She's not on the DIS much lately though, so I'll tell her when I see her today that you have converted! :p

Happy New Year, everyone! I’m sorry I have been MIA from the boards, but thank you for the Christmas and the New Year’s wishes on my PTRs! Christmas/New Year’s has been busy for me at home and at work, but I hope to update you guys soon! Any downtime that I had at home was spent watching Doctor Who. Yes, I am really into that show now! I am only on the beginning of Season Three, so no spoilers! I blame Pinterest for this new obsession of mine! So many people pinned Doctor Who related stuff that I became curious! Pinterest and the DIS are my two guilty pleasures! So I’ve got to get back to updating my PTRs! I have craft projects piling up and movie nights to do! Oh, and there is the actual planning! I have just over a month until I make my ADRs, and I want to have my dining plans for UO situated by that time, too. Lots to do! Hopefully, it’ll make time fly until my vacation!

Happy New Year!!!
Ooooo - I am so happy you have found Doctor Who! Season 3 - hmmm, my favourites were the Shakespeare code, Human Nature and Blink (Agh! So scary!) Which one are you on?
Your days sounds like mine - we should so do a meet at Disney! I'm still waiting for flights to come out, I check Southwest every day now.

Happy New Year! I had to laugh out loud... I'm a Who fan now as well... I got through the first series and have started the second... I can't believe that David Tennant who is so adorable as Dr. Who played the horrible Bartie Crouch Jr. in Harry Potter...

Happy New Year Erin.......can't wait to continue reading along with you. I hope you are all feeling ok. Lord knows the flu hit this house pretty hard.

Yes, I am a total convert! Dr. Who is so witty, silly-funny, scary (at times) and sweet! I’m in the process of converting Coy into a Whovian (True has no interest in it   ) and he likes the show so far. So yes, please tell Hope! Also, please tell her that we miss her here on the Dis!

Yes, we definitely have to have a meet if our days sync up :goodvibes

I haven’t seen any of those Dr. Who episodes yet because I had to stop watching in order to allow Coy to catch up to me. He is still on Season 1. I heard about Blink and I can’t wait to watch it! My favorites so far have to be The Girl in the Fireplace and New Earth! It’s hard to choose, though! I like them all! Oh, I can’t forget about the ninth doctor! The Empty Child was freaky and so sad. Also Father’s Day (heartbreaking) and Bad Wolf. While Coy is catching up on episodes, I am watching Merlin now (only on Season 1) and I watched all of Sherlock. I think it has become abundantly clear in this PTR that I have a thing for English accents! :lmao:

I just adore David Tennant! He’s “kind of FOXY!” Every once in a while, I have a flashback of him as the deranged Barty Crouch Jr.!

Happy New Year Erin.......can't wait to continue reading along with you. I hope you are all feeling ok. Lord knows the flu hit this house pretty hard.

I hope to at least have a movie night to post soon! Luckily, we didn’t get sick – there IS a bug going around my office – so I hope we stay fairly germ free. I read about your ordeal! I’m glad ypu’re doing better, though. I didn’t comment yet because I realized I was WAY behind on your PTR. I believe I even saw a chicken egg! :yay:

Sorry, guys! I have remained MIA on the boards! Thank you all for keeping in touch! Things are still crazy at work, but not nearly as insane as they have been. I’ve peeked in on a few PTRs and TRs but I never have a moment to actually comment, so I hope to comment on a few today.

I also hope to have a movie night posted this weekend because I brought all of the supplies last night to do a Tangled movie night tonight :goodvibes I love that movie and it has been on the Disney channel a hundred times this week! True says it’s Princess Week. She recorded Cinderella (even though we have it on DVD, silly girl princess: ) Cinderella II and Cinderella III. I have never seen II or III so maybe we’ll watch them together one day. But tonight is Tangled night and I am really looking forward to it! True even started working on one of the projects last night! Coy’s not all that into that project, so I am hoping to get him to do a different one. Maybe he can make a satchel like Flynn Rider’s? Oops! Can’t give away too much!

When I was shopping for the movie night, I ran across these:

Too cute! Of course, the cheese in the package didn’t look as good as the cheese pictured on the package. Mickey’s poor ears were lopped off on most of the pieces of cheese! So I decided to save my $2 and make my own one day. I searched online and found a couple of cute Mickey Head cookie cutters, but then I remembered that I brought a cookie cutter like that for True two Easters ago! It must still be packed up with our Easter stuff, so I will have to look for it later this weekend. One day, we’ll have to have a movie night where I serve Mickey Head cheese and crackers! Or maybe a Mickey Head patty melt! :thumbsup2

I know I said I was never going to do another movie night on a Friday, but I have to this weekend. #1 I have had a stressful week at work and I need to do something fun! #2 My sisters and I are having a Girl’s Night Out with our cousin tomorrow. Our cousin just turned 31 (ahh… I remember being 31…) and we are going out for dinner and drinks. Well, mostly drinks. Actually, it will probably be ONLY drinks! :lmao: I can’t wait because the last time the four of us all went out was for her birthday last year! Our cousin has young kids, so we don’t hang out much. This is my weekend with my kids, so I am dropping them off at my sisters’ place and the kids are going to “babysit” Bruno. Bruno is a big puppy now, so he doesn’t need a babysitter, but my kids want to prove to me that they can handle having a dog. I am confident that they can and I have been promising them a dog (and/or cat) for years now. It’s just a matter of having the time. My goal is by the end of the summer – after our trip to WDW – but don’t tell them that! Wow! Tangent!

Anyway, the weather is supposed to be really nice all weekend. It is going to get up to 68 on Sunday! We probably won’t see weather like this in Virginia again until late March! The kids and I are going to have to go out to enjoy it. I hope that we can also do a fun movie night activity that I was saving for a warm night. So, if I can find the supplies at a party store this weekend, we’ll be doing something pretty fun outside until it gets too cold at night. That’s the thing about those rare warm days in the winter: it’s beautiful and springtime-y during the day, but the temp drops drastically after the sun goes down! So the plan is to do something fun outside Sunday afternoon (no idea what), then do the movie night activity at sundown, then go inside before it gets back down to the 30’s and watch the movie!

As far as planning the WDW trip…well, I haven’t done any planning in ages! The most pressing thing is the ADRs. I can’t even remember what I decided on all of those months ago! I have to look back at my notes. Oh, and I didn’t tell you that Coy DEFINITELY wants to go to Sea World this year. So, yeah, this will mean we will not have a down day. I am going to need a vacation after my vacation!

Hi Erin! I totally forgot to tell Hope that you were watching Dr. Who! I am back to watching now as well, I had to stop for about 8 months or so when I got to the end of the 2nd season. Too sad and can't tell you why, so you'll just have to see for yourself! :p I'm ok about it now and moved on (LOL...like it's not just a tv show!) and I'm watching season 3 now!

Cannot wait to hear about your Tangled night! Hope & I just did Little Mermaid a few days ago, that was fun! Have a good time going out for drinks...I need to do that. I usually just stay home and have them. :lmao:

ERIN'S BACK!! ERIN'S BACK!!! I've been missing you!!! I hope you have fun at your Tangled night tonight! I thought that movie was so cute. My favorite movie is Brave currently. In fact, I'm making Victoria's birthday Brave-themed. She only has a few friends over anyways, so it's not like it's a huge deal, but since I like it (she does too ;) that's what it is going to be. I have Brave invitations and I now know how to make cool looking streamers (right, Karen??) I'm going to get some Brave plates and such. I know......I'm crazy!! Victoria could care less what the table looks like as long as there is cake. :rotfl2:

Oh, I know! I won’t say, just in case anyone else reading hasn’t seen it, but… That was just too much! I can understand taking a break from it after that! I get emotionally invested with fictional characters too! I was actually a little heartbroken when Ten took over for Nine! I know Christopher Eccleston doesn’t get as much love as David Tennant or the other one (I’m not going to bother learning his name until I get to him in the series  ) but I missed Nine during the first episode without him! I was feeling just like Rose during that first episode. I didn’t trust Ten. Who was this new guy, anyway??? :lmao: I kept thinking about how Nine would have reacted to certain situations. I missed his crazy eyes! :rotfl: Nine was clearly unbalanced and I liked that! But Ten grew on me quickly and I loved him by the next episode. So, yeah, it’s not like I was overly attached to fictional characters either :rolleyes1

Thanks, Ann! I can’t wait until tonight! I love Tangled so much! The kids do, too, so I think it will be a lot of fun! That is so cool that you are having a Brave birthday party for Victoria! That is going to be so much fun! I need to buy that movie because you know how much we loved it! I’m glad that Victoria is going along with the theme. I wish Coy would still let me do themes for his birthday! You’re right that they don’t care what everything looks like, as long as they get their cake! So why not go a little crazy on the decorations? I say, birthdays are Mom’s day too because it is our “Birthing” day! :rotfl: The kids wouldn’t even have a birthday if we didn’t give birth to them! Why don’t WE get the gifts?!? ;) I actually said that to my kids a few times and they laughed at me. Oh well, it was worth a shot. :rotfl2:

Your weekend sounds fun Erin! Enjoy the movie night with your kiddos and a night out with the girls. Both are much needed sometimes! :thumbsup2

Come check out my TR when you have some time. :)

Thanks, Kelli! Yes, movie nights and dinks with the girls are two things I really need right now! I wish I could combine them! :lmao: I didn’t even know you had a TR going! I am so out of touch! I’m headed over there right now :thumbsup2

Just wanted to say I love your ptr...we are planning a trip in sept and I came across your pretrippie since its kind when we are going.

I can't figure out how to quote from one of your posts on the iPad app, but if I could I would quote where you said that you have done HersheyPark, but not the area...I live in Hershey! The park is fun and we go a lot, but there isnt much else to do...we do have Hershey gardens, Indian echo caverns, the Spa at Hotel Hershey, some great eats, but nothing else really...oh a troll ride, lol. Really not missing much...

I loved your 30 day challenges...might have to post that on Facebook...seems like it'd be a fun diversion from the normal fb crud...

Well, it has been a VERY long time since I have done any actual trip planning on this PTR! There wasn’t much I could plan, though, considering I was so far out and I have planned about three trips before this one, right? :lmao: In less than 30 days, I’ll be able to make my ADRs, so I have got to get cracking! Oh, and Coy threw a monkey wrench in my plans because he said he definitely wants to go to Sea World! This changes my plans significantly because I am putting Sea World in the former MK day. Now, our “off” day is truly nonexistent because we have to go to MK on that day. Well, we don’t have to, but you know what I mean! I have at least two days in each park, but the kids and I tend to want to spend more time in MK and EP than in the other parks. So, I’m rethinking the ADRs so that we will mostly have breakfast and/or lunch in the parks, but then have our evenings free to park hop if we want. I think it is a good balance between a structured day and a no-plan evening. So, this is what I have in the works so far:

Wednesday, August 21st – UO: WWoHP in the morning (breakfast at Three Broomsticks); IoA in the afternoon/evening (late lunch at Mythos)

Thursday, August 22nd – UO: WWoHP in the morning; US in the afternoon/evening (late lunch at Lombard’s Seafood Grille)

Friday, August 23rd – UO: WWoHP in the morning; either IoA or US in the afternoon/evening (late lunch at Bubba Gump)

Saturday, August 24th – MK in the morning (Before Park Opening breakfast at Crystal Palace); HS in the evening

Sunday, August 25th – AK in the morning (Before Park Opening breakfast at Tusker House); EP in the evening

Monday, August 26th – EP all day (Before Park Opening breakfast at Akershus; early dinner at Coral Reef)

Tuesday, August 27th – HS all day (late lunch at Sci-Fi)

Wednesday, August 28th – Sea World (dinner at Whispering Canyon Café)

Thursday, August 29th – EP all day (early dinner at Garden Grill)

Friday, August 30th – MK all day (early breakfast at Chef Mickey; dinner at Be Our Guest)

Saturday, August 31st – AK in the morning (lunch at Rainforest Café); MK or EP in the evening

Sunday, September 1st – HS in the morning (early breakfast at ‘Ohana); MK in the evening (early dinner at Cinderella’s Royal Table)

Monday, September 2nd – Departure day

Based on this, we will have to leave late on Tuesday night after I get home from work. There is usually a flight to MCO at about 8pm that arrives around 10pm, I think. That flight is usually very cheap (like $100 each) so I will have to keep that savings in mind when I am struggling to wake up the next morning to go to WWoHP! I’m trying to decide if it will be better for us to check in at the UO hotel on Tuesday night or if we should stay offsite that one night. The downside to staying offsite that first night is that we will have to check into the UO hotel early Wednesday morning so that we won’t have to leave the parks later in the day to handle checking in. I’m all about staying in the vacation bubble! Anyway, we’ll already have to leave the parks in the afternoon on Friday to check out of UO and check in to our WDW hotel. That won’t be too bad, though. This plan really does look like a lot to squeeze in to almost two weeks! Yeah, I’m definitely overcompensating for not taking a vacation in such a long time. Keep in mind, though, that the kids and I haven’t been to WDW since 2009! That is entirely too long! So the kids and I are going to soak up as much fun and sun as we can while we are in Orlando!

I think the ADR choices are good, too, because we only have a few days where we have two table service meals. That will leave us time to explore UO on Thursday and Friday, and time to pick which WDW park we go to on WDW days. I don’t want to be “stuck” with a plan because we have to be in a certain park for dinner, so I only have a few dinners planned. I also like the idea of going to WCC after our Sea World day. I may be wrong, but I don’t really expect to be at Sea World all day, and I don’t want to burn a ticket so we can have dinner in a WDW park. Plus, whatever time we do have at Sea World, I don’t want to use too much of it by going to a table service restaurant. Nope, regular park food will be OK for us that day. Then, we should have a nice appetite worked up for WCC.

By the way, I am still using My Points and I earned a lot of points by ordering my Christmas gifts through them. In fact, if there is anything I want to get from Best Buy or WalMart, I order it online and choose in store pick up, and I swing by the store later in the day. This has all added up and I have earned enough points to get a $50 gift card for Landry’s restaurants! I can use that at Bubba Gump or at RFC! I’m halfway to a second $50 card, so I hope to be able to earn that by the time we take that trip.

I’m getting excited about this trip again! We’re almost at the six month mark, so there is a lot of planning and preparing in store! :yay:

:welcome: I’m glad you’re reading along! If we lived in Hershey, my kids would probably want to go to Hershey Park every day that it was open! My daughter wants to go the “Chocolate Spa” as she calls it, and have a bath in chocolate! I’m glad you enjoyed the 30 day challenge! I haven’t had time to work on another one, but I want to because they are so much fun!

What do you think we are going to do, based on this picture?:

Don’t say, “Go into sugar shock!” because I know some of you guys are smart alecks like that! Haha! Or, maybe it is just me. I know I have a smart mouth. Anyway… We had a Dinner and a Disney Movie night for Tangled! Well, we actually mostly had dessert! The dinner had nothing to do with the movie at all. I was going to make hazelnut soup, since it was Rapunzel’s favorite, but I didn’t have time since I was doing this party at the last minute. I decided on a whim to do it on Monday. Yes, this past Monday. As in a week and a half after I said I was going to do it! My job has been crazy busy and I really just feel like bumming around the house most nights when I get home. But Monday was particularly stressful, so I decided I needed to do the party just so I could get out of my funk. I’m glad that I did, because we had a great time! By “we”, I mean me and True. Coy wasn’t interested in the craft project when we started it a week and a half ago and he wasn’t any more interested on Monday. I mentioned this in another PTR that I had, but I’ll say it again – my kids don’t always get into the activities of our movie nights. They do like crafting, but I haven’t been able to find a craft yet that they both enjoy and will complete. This time around, I brought a paint-by-numbers set for the kids. True started on hers but hasn’t finished yet. Coy wasn’t into it, even though he asked me for a paint-by-numbers canvas before. Oh well. I also got tiny canvasses for them to paint freehand, but True ended up painting them both. They turned out really well. They are right here in the middle of our Tangled spread:

You may be wondering, “Is that a Tangled birthday poster back there?” and I will answer, “Why yes, it is”.

You can’t beat a party decoration that costs $0.97 at WalMart!

Coy and True both like origami, so I thought I would have them try doing a papercraft for this movie night. Well, Coy was MIA, so I never got to see if he would have enjoyed it, but True tried her hand at it:

…and then she gave up. Ugh! I think she was more interested in getting to the cookies I put in the oven. I was making sugar cookies in the shape of a palette, so I took the refrigerated cookie dough and cut a chunk out of them to mimic the shape of the palette. I could have sworn I took a picture of that, but I didn’t have it when I went to upload these pictures this morning. It doesn’t matter anyway, because the cookies didn’t turn out as planned:

If you look closely at the sugar cookies, you can see that they spread out back into a circular shape and just left a little ridge where the missing chunk of cookie used to be. Oh well. The best laid plans… So, I just indented them while they were still warm and I poked a hole in them with a straw:

While they were cooling, True and I got to work on our only non-dessert item for our spread. We made braided bread – to resemble Rapunzel’s hair – out of seamless crescent roll dough:

I cut the dough into thirds and braided it as True took pictures:

I wasn’t sure how long to bake it since it wasn’t in the shape of a crescent roll, but the baking time was fairly similar. I baked it at 350 degrees for 11 minutes, and it turned out really well:

The consistency wasn’t as flaky as a crescent, in case you were wondering. It was more like bread in texture. My kids tore it up! But before they were able to eat that (or dinner for that matter) True and I had to make Rapunzel’s tower! We started off by placing a glob of frosting on the bottom of a cake cone to hold it in place on the plate. Here is True, demonstrating the process and smiling as wide as ever:

She has a food coloring stain on her thumb, so that must mean that we did a different dessert before this one… Hmm… Oh well, I’ve already started talking about the towers, so I’ll keep going. We put a waffle cone on top of the cake cone to resemble the tower:

Then decorated it with frosting for the ivy:

Yes, we used frosting in a spray can. Don’t judge me! LOL! As you can see, we took a lot of shortcuts that night. Canned frosting, refrigerated cookies. For shame! Haha! Even with the help of convenience foods, it still took us an hour and a half to complete all of the food. But I digress. As usual. So, anyway, we decorated our towers with these little doohickeys:

This is my finished project:

This is True’s:

I liked True’s better. I thought mine looked like I was trying too hard to be perfect (I was! Shocker, I know! LOL!) but True’s looks more organic. It looks natural. Plus, who is going to complain about extra frosting?!? Speaking of extra frosting, these were True’s palette cookies:

Um, yeah. I liked them better than mine:

Mine were cute, though! But the M&Ms on top of the frosting on top of the sugar cookies was too much for me. So I ate the M&Ms first and then waited a minute or so before eating the rest of the cookie! LOL! We also made chocolate chip cookies because True reminded me that Rapunzel made them in the beginning of the movie. I think True just wanted an excuse for more cookies, but who could blame her??? Yum!!! Back to the desserts project. We started on the paintbrushes next. We stuck craft sticks into Rice Krispies Treats. Now, I had to buy the treats because I can never get mine to come out in perfect rectangles. My treats are always too gooey, even when I lower the amount of marshmallows I put in. Does anyone else have this problem? I don’t know what I am doing wrong. I think I am going to try marshmallow cream next to see if that helps. Any suggestions? Anyway, True was on a roll with that green frosting, so she made one paintbrush but then decided to make a guy she lovingly called “Afro Man”:

Then she bit his head off! Haha! As you can see from the next photo, I tinted some white frosting yellow, then added red to make a coral orange, then I had the bright idea to add blue. Um…

Well, grey kinda goes with the color palette of the party.

I didn’t realize until later that the coral frosting almost exactly matched the color True used on her mini canvasses! How serendipitous!!! Coy came down and ate dinner with us (just chicken and veggies. Ooh, and the braided bread!) and we ate a lot of the desserts! It was WAY over how much I would normally let them eat for dessert, but it was worth it. Sometimes, we deserve a little treat! True ate her tower the next day but I still haven’t eaten mine. I’m thinking about crumbling it up into a bowl of vanilla ice cream tonight! Oh, and we didn’t watch Tangled. LOL! It didn’t matter because we saw it a couple of times before. Coy said he really liked the theme and wanted me and True to do something like it again. Um, yeah, it was a success!

Fabulous!!! LOVE IT!!! Ok, so maybe I have done too many disney themed days b/c I knew nearly right away when I saw the cones what you were doing! :lmao:

BTW, your Tangle day ROCKED ours. Seriously, you thought of so many more things! I didn't even attempt to have the girls do the Rapunzel cutout, I did it beforehand and just used it as decoration on our table b/c it was HARD to do! I LOVE the paintbrushes and artist pallets! Too cute!

It must have been a hit if Coy wanted you to do it again! Savannah sometimes isn't that interested in our themed stuff but try to NOT have a theme or not have much and she will immediately ask why I'm not decorating or doing a craft this time! :p

Thanks! Most of my ideas came from Pinterest, so I can’t take all of the credit ;) I’m glad that we weren’t the only ones who didn’t do the paper crafts! I had several printed out, but neither kid wanted anything to do with them! :rotfl:

I’m so glad that they were really into this movie night :goodvibes

LOVE your Tangled day! I think my favorite part was the braided bread! What a neat idea! :worship:

Thanks! The braided bread was one of my few original ideas! I’ve never made bread before, but I really wanted braided bread, so I took a shortcut and winged it with the crescent rolls! I was so happy with how it turned out :cool1:

Erin, you are such a great, great mom! Nights like your Tangled night will be something your two kiddos remember forever. Just taking the time and doing fun little things like that is awesome. :thumbsup2

Well, I grossly overestimated what I would get back in a tax refund this year. I thought it might work out a little bit more in my favor because I was unemployed for a few weeks last year. I forgot about my severance package, though. See? This is why I need a pro to file my taxes! :lmao: Anyway, I thought I would just fill out the forms today to estimate what I would get back and it turns out that I will probably only get a small refund. Like $50 small! I don’t mind, though. I love living in the US, and I don’t mind paying my taxes, but I don’t like the idea of the government using my money interest free for a year. I usually set up my tax exemptions so that I get a very small refund each year, anyway. Just not that small! :rotfl: Not getting a significant refund this year isn’t a deal breaker for the trip, but it would have been nice to pay a chunk off at once. Plus, it would allow me to justify staying at POR instead of POP. I’m just a little concerned that after staying in a UO resort, I won’t want to stay at POP because I’ll want something a little nicer than a Value resort. Wow, I sound like a snob! :snooty: :rotfl2: Before people start hating, I know that POP is a really cool resort and I really do want to stay there one time, but I’m not sure that this is the trip when we’ll be doing that. The kids and I will probably get used to the square footage of the UO resort that we choose and we might feel a little cramped in a Value after that. So, since I won’t be getting a tax refund, I hope that there is a free dining offer or something like that for our vacation dates. Also, if there is free dining, Values get the QSDP where the Mods get DDP. We need DDP because of all of the ADRs I plan on making. My birthday is in a couple of weeks, so I will probably put down the deposits for the UO and WDW resorts as a present to myself. I budgeted out the trip, starting with my next payday and ending on 07/09/13 which is 45 days before arriving at WDW. I want to have the UO trip paid off by then as well.

In other news, my sister Ashley said that she might really be coming with us on this vacation! She said that she was talking to her boyfriend about how she wanted to go to Disney in the summer for her birthday. Now, her birthday is close to July 4th, so I advised her before that the 4th would be an extremely busy time to visit, so she wants to get the trip for her birthday present, but go when the kids and I are down there :yay: I told her about the plans so far and about how I have been planning around the possibility of her and our other sister coming (no word yet on if she will be going too) and Ashley loved the plans! Luckily, I shouldn’t have to make any changes to the ADRs if Ashley and her boyfriend come along because we are hitting most of the restaurants I wanted to show my sisters. If Ashley and her BF come, I might have to move up the CRT to another day and I might have to sneak Garden Grill in there somewhere. For now, I will just add two extra people to the ADRs I’m going to make. I hope that, if for some reason they can’t come, it won’t be a problem removing two people from our ADRs. I’m still holding out hope that our other sister, Marissa, will be able to come too. Maybe even with her boyfriend! Tangent Time: I love Marissa’s boyfriend! Have I told you guys that? I can’t remember if I mentioned it, but he came over with my sisters for Christmas. He’s just cool and down to earth. He had me, my kids and my mom laughing all night! And, speaking of approving of my siblings’ significant others, my sisters, brother, mom and I are finally meeting my brother Kyle’s girlfriend next week! We’re all going out to dinner for Kyle’s birthday. Oh, and my kids will be there, too. Come to think of it, the girlfriend might feel a lot of pressure meeting all of us at once! See? This is why Kyle should have brought her around sooner! She could have gotten to know a few of us at a time! :lmao:

Anyway… back to the trip. So WDW ADRs are pretty much going to be the same if Ash and the BF come, but I’m concerned about the restaurants at UO where I want to eat. Ashley isn’t all that into seafood anymore, which is weird  Don’t tell her I said that! She reads the boards sometimes, so I guess I just told on myself! :rotfl: Ashley, if you are reading this, why don’t you like seafood anymore? You used to love it! :confused3 So, if we go to Bubba Gump and Lombard’s, she will be stuck with chicken, burgers or steak. Aren’t you supposed to stay away from chicken and steak in a seafood joint? Well, we don’t have to have every meal together, so if she doesn’t like the menu, maybe she and her BF can go have a nice romantic dinner somewhere else :thumbsup2 Have any of you guys had any of the non-seafood items at either of those restaurants? Would you recommend them or would you think that a different restaurant would be a better option for my sister? I’m taking my kids to Bubba Gump for sure because I have been looking forward to eating there for years (I just realized that I should do a Forrest Gump movie night!) but I am more flexible with Lombard’s. I really want to go there, but if Ash doesn’t, I wouldn’t mind changing plans.
