Disney Emotions!

The other day, I was listening to a Billy Joel CD as I worked. 'The Entertainer' came on and for some reason it took me right to the old Main Street Electrical Parade. I guess that the synthesizer triggered memories of 'Baroque Hoedown', even though the two songs are otherwise dissimilar.

I have a 5 CD box set called "Classic Disney" 60 years of musical Magic.

I don't think it's available anymore...If you find it, get it. It's great. Everything is on there!

The instrumental version of Beauty and the Beast always makes me cry.

So do the park openings and closings. I want to badly to be there (and soon I will be).

And I also cry at the Disney movie beginnings. The new one is just so beautiful.

You can always listen to Disney Theme Park music on-line at subsonicradio dot com.

In 2001, we stayed at the Poly where the music is piped in. The first night we did the Spectromagic/Wishes combo in the park. My DKs being very young at the time (7 and 4), we watched Wishes from the Poly on the next night.

After the bad guys are pushed out by the reappearance of the blue fairy, there is a chorus of kids that starts out as "Star Light, Star Bright.." My kids sang that, and the rest of the song until the very end ("and dream as dreamers do..and all your wishes...will...come...true..."), which they already knew from only hearing it once.

Their innocence, and that message of hope...that memory still get me every time I hear the Wishes music .

not tears but chill bumps.......i love my haunted mansion cd. nothing like a lil music to take you there!!!!!:cool1:

Much of Disney theme park music gets me smiling-which is why I listen to Disradio. I love the Electrical parade music- it reminds me (and my daughter) of our recent Disneyland trip and how we froze our heinies off waiting for it to start:laughing:

I do get a warm fuzzy feeling when I hear the Illuminations music - I have a recording of the spectromagic music played on the piano and that makes me stop in my tracks and smile

I always smile when I hear the very beginning of the old Main Street Electrical Parade....

"Ladies and Gentlemen, Boys and Girls, Disney World proudly presents our spectacular festival pageant of nighttime magic and imagination in thousands of sparkling lights and electrosynthamagnetic musical sounds. The Main Street Electrical Parade"........

I "had" to listen to this twice a night - just about every night during the summer of 1989. I didn't realize how lucky I was. Or....maybe I did. :lovestruc

I listen to subsonic radio and some of the tracks will get me a little teary-eyed from time to time. Mostly Soarin', some segments of Wishes and Candlelight Processional.

No doubt about it, I'm a basket case when I hear Jiminy Cricket sing When You Wish Upon A Star. Especially when I really think about meaning of the song.

Anything by the Sherman Bros.. especially "It's a Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow".

Usually any Disney commercial will bring me to tears lol but Wishes does it for me. I'm always a mess by the time it's over.

Soarin...gets me choked up & gives me goosebumps every time.

I also love the "if you believe in fairies' song. It is the instrumental song they play on the Disney World commericials..Every time i hear it on live365 I cry. (it is also the played on the 2008 planning DVD.)

The music they play on Kilimanjaro Safari. It takes my breath away everytime.

Mickey's Philarmagic, Small World & Peter Pans Flight & Splash Mountain soundtracks all make me feel I am in my Magic Happy Place. ;)
