didn't a DISBride have her mom buy the disney embroidery machine and make some stuff for the wedding?? I thought i remembered reading it in one of the PJ/TR's but i can't remember who?

Anyone have one? How easy it is to use?

There is a sewing machine that does Disney embroidery. I can't remember who had this but her things came out great. I think she did shirts. If I remember who did this I will get back to you. Although I am sure she will see this. It was not too long ago so hopefully she is still on the boards.

I have the brother 270D it is the disney sewing machine and I LOVE it. It is so easy to use. I did not have any real sewing experience. I am using my to make mickey welcome bags. If you are thinking about getting one I do recommend the Brother. If you have any questions about it feel free to ask!

Here is a link to the planning journal of the DISBride who had the machine:

I looked them up once, they were a few hundred dollars. Maybe 5 or 6? I remember it was expensive enough to make me rethink enbroidering everything and everyONE around me! :rotfl:

But I still think of it everyonce in a while. I wonder if Val would notice if I just took it out of her wedding budget?

I bought the Brother one a couple months ago on clearance at WalMart. It was marked down to $249 !!! I haven't gotten a chance to play with it yet, but I couldn't pass it up. I had kept looking at it for a couple years. It was priced around $575, then they decided to quit carrying them, so I nabbed the last one !!!

Thanks! I so want to get that machine! I really need to be on teh lookout for sales now!

My mom has the Disney edition of the Brother embroidery machine.
Its neat, but a pain in the a@% to use.
She also had a lot of technical problems with it. IE: it won't self thread the needle like its supposed to.
I believe her friend bought it for her from ebay.

Also the threads used in Emb Machines can get really expensive... (mostly if you buying them at a joanns or something). So make sure to use the same colors over and over.

My mom is really big into embroidery so if you have any questions either I'll know of I an find out for ya.
