Disney Early Morning Magic - December?

I'm such a newbie. First trip is planned in December, and I feel like I've done a ton of research since I started planning in January. Alas, yesterday I heard about Disney Early Morning Magic for the first time.

It actually sounds like a worthwhile add-on for us, just to be able to get some "must-dos" out of the way and enjoy a much less crowded experience, if only for an hour.

So...will they offer it in December?

Does anyone know? Or have any tips/tricks/hints?

I already have a Be Our Guest breakfast booked to help with early entry, but I think I'd be happy to give that up to do EMM. Thoughts?

This has been discussed a lot here recently. Many of us are (still) waiting on November and December for Early Morning Magic. No one is sure if it will be offered in these months. We just keep checking the schedule daily. Someone here heard that the schedule is updated quarterly, which would mean November and December, if it is being offered, would be added around October 1. There has also been speculation, however, that it might be discontinued the months of November and December. The reason for this is that the park calendar has a "special ticketed event" (which would be Early Morning Magic) already added for January, February, and early March (even though those dates are not yet on the Early Morning Magic calendar) but nothing for November and December. The bottom line is that no one knows for sure. Unfortunately Disney is erratic in how they update calendars and schedules and can even discontinue things without any notice. It's pretty frustrating.

Nobody knows, just gotta keep checking. I will say the EMM is nice, you can ride a normally long wait time ride over and over and over again if you want. It's great. Tips- don't eat first, do your rides and then hit the breakfast buffet. Question though, if you have your early morning BOG breakfast booked, why would you do EMM, they typically do a breakfast buffet at pinocchio haus village. If you have an early morning breakfast reservation, you can get into MK before it opens and then you won't need the EMM.

Our reservation is 8:20 am. I feel like by time we're done eating, we will be just barely be able to get in with the rope droppers. I'm willing to give up BOG breakfast reservation if I can book this EMM instead. At least, if I understand the EMM correctly, it is 8-9 am, right?

I wanna say it was 7am when we did it but I might be mistaken. I had thought it was 7am-9am w/ a buffet at PH. It's a premium price for what it is but if it's something you really want to do go for it. If you cannot get EMM and stick with BOG you will still be able to ride normally long wait rides when you wrap up breakfast. We do MK all the time, busy times, slower times, all throughout the year. You will walk on or have very short waits on Peter Pan, Seven Dwarfs and a few others- the waits on the hot rides will start back logging at some point in the morning but you'll have a great time no matter what.

Some BOG breakfast tips. If you pre-order your breakfast at BOG which you can do via the MDE app, that will save some time. Additionally you can get through the security gates usually about 30 min early for advance dining reservations so by the time you walk back to fantasy land you can theoretically arrive by 8am since you are supposed to be about 10-15 min early for your ADR. If you do that and can get to your ADR early, you can be done pretty quick since your food arrives at your table pretty fast.

7:45-9am for the rides. They let you into the park at 7:45am.

Breakfast is served from 7:45-10am.

BOG PPO reservation times operate a bit ‘different’ than other ADR times. For a 9AM park opening, anyone with a PPO reservation is let in the park 7:45AMish. You’ll be sat in the order you arrive back at BOG, regardless of your reservation time. It is a good idea to pre-order as suggested above.

To say it another way, don’t let the fact that your reservation is at 8:20AM change your plan. Be out front of MK at 7:45 when they let you in, walk back to BOG, eat, and you’ll be done in plenty of time to go beat rope droppers (ETA: depending on where you are going).
