I know I've read this topic on here before, but I can't seem to find it!

I am interesed in stocking up the kids DVD collections (specifically Disney) for Christmas. Where is the cheapest place to buy DVD's? Aren't there a few website out there that sell DVD's very cheap?

Thanks so much!

I'm a member of the Disney Movie Club www.disneymovieclub.com For signing up you get 3 free and then one at 15, one at 10 and a commitment to buy 4 more within the next 2 years. I've found it a great deal for me, although the initial signup package takes a while so it may not come before xmas.

I have ordered from DeepDiscountDVD once and a while ago got a lot from overstock.com. Check out the Black Friday sales- there are a lot for cheap (Circuit City has Cinderella and the Incredibles for $8.99). Also, Sam's Club and Costco are great places to look.

Oohh, thanks for the Circuit City tip, didn't think to look there since I'm not buying any electronics this year!

Also, I don't know if you saw the price matching at Walmart thread, but walmart will price match other ads this year. If you bring in the circuit city ad, you can get Cinderella and the Incredibles for $8.99. Well, this is only if you found something you wanted at Walmart too :flower: I figure both stores are going to be mad houses on BF! :rotfl:

Go to a used dvd store or a pawnshop. You can find good deals on dvds at those places. I recently picked up Lion King special edition for $6 and the Fantasia Trilogy box set for $25 by doing that. Just inspect the discs before buying them.

If you have Half Price Bookstores in your area, they usually have a great selection of DVD's. I have gotten several Disney DVD's there for between $6-$8
They are totally returnable too if you get them home and they don't work for some reason, just hang onto your receipt.

I was figuring that since they were going to be gifts that used wasn't an option. I'm a HUGE fan of Gamestop. You can go to www.gamestop.com and type in a title and even check to see if a store in your area has it. If they do, just call them up and tell them to hold it and they will.

That's how I've gotten OOP titles like Beauty and the Beast, Snow White and the Fantasia Anthology- all in amazing condition (the FA looked like it had been given as a gift and never watched- same with B&tB!!). I paid $12.99, $16.99 and $34.99 respectively (FA retailed for $70 and currently sells for much higher than that on Ebay).

It's a good alternative to ebay and you know you're getting something legit, even if it IS used. Also, if it doesn't work you can return it! :flower:

I was just on the deepdiscountdvd site and they've got Cinderella for $16.38 -- less than I paid last week...

I was just on deepdiscountdvd and saw CINDERELLA for $16.38 -- cheaper than I bought it for last week!

It is for the kids. They won't mind! ;)
Besides, some of the "used" dvds I have gotten have never even been played or even opened. Others looked brand new. Like I said, just inspect the discs and packaging first.

ps: I picked up Alice in Wonderland and Snow White today for $8 each, like new condition.
