My statement wasn't about being in the public eye, but about people making blanket statemtents and forming opinions solely based on media reports, and not personal interaction. And while I'm on my soap box (again), how is an actor (who is a human being, like you and me) supposed to go about life while staying in his/her house 24/7? They need to shop. They like to be entertained as well. And, oh my goodness, they might even like to take someone out on a date
Acting is a profession, but these people also have lives to live after the director says "cut". And people wonder why actors' relationships don't last-I guess not. Trying to get to know someone on a date while 30 paparazzi are clicking away can hinder a romance a little. But, like you said, maybe they should just stay out of the public eye. There probably should be an island for all of them to be in when they're not on the set, being that they're not real people anyway
Hating someone's acting is one thing, hating them without knowing them is another.
