I'm helping to plan a family member's trip for next year. I know that right now BBB isn't open, but hoping it is next year. If it is, I'm going to get the girls dresses for Christmas that they can bring with them. I'm starting to look and am having trouble finding anything in the 14-18 size range. (The oldest is 8 right now and just getting into a 14-16.) Anyone have any luck finding larger dresses for their kids? Thanks!

Hi!
I've been doing a little princess dress shopping for a later trip, and I saw that Taylor Joelle and Only Little Once both have some dresses in a 14. They also both have size charts with all the measurements so you can see if they run large or small.

You can get just about any dress custom made on etsy. They're also generally a better quality.

If she's that size now, I'd wait before buying anything because it sounds like she'd be out of the 16-18 range by then, if they even have dresses in that size? Or wait until the Halloween costumes come out and get her an adult size?

I will be waiting until later this year to look. That is why I'm looking for something up to a size 18. I'm not in a hurry to find it, but I thought I would start looking now. Especially since I'm hoping to get similar or matching dresses for her and her baby sister.

Trish Scully makes adorable dresses for children. They used to have disney specific dresses but now it looks like they have some other dresses. You could definitely add some accessories to the ones they have to make them more character specific.

The reason you are having trouble is because girl sizes do not typically go to a 18. A 14 is usual the stop point before a jump to juniors and misses sizes. a 16 is considered girls plus and while some brands do carry it, Disney Store doesn't carry it. If you think she will be a size "18" then you need to look at a juniors size 4 or possibly a misses size 2. Disney Store doesn't typically carry those sizes. However, at Halloween time you CAN get Disney costumes on other sites in junior and misses sizes. I would wait until closer to Halloween to make your purchase and then try to get an idea on their size. This is a far less expenive route than etsy although it will likely not be as high quality as etsy.
