Today was MGM day. We wanted to finish up some things we didnt do the other day we were here.
We got on the bus & it really didnt seem that busy.
We got to MGM & I was pretty surprised just how nonbusy it was for June!
Our plan was to go get a FP for an Indy Jones show & then head to Muppets 3D. Well, we passed up Sounds Dangerous & my SON wanted to go in there. He said we never been in there before, which we havent. Now, I have NO desire to see this, I am not a Drew Carey fan at all. Well, after my son pleading with us to go see Sounds Dangerous, we decided to go in.
Well, now I know why people call it lame!!! I thought it was a waste of time, go figure .my DS liked it. He said he liked the Killer Bee part the best!
He asked if we could go in it again, but I told him once in enough!!! LOL
We grab some FPs for the 11:15 show of Indy Jones & then make our way over to Muppets 3D.
On the way back to Indy Jones, my son & I duck into Star Tours since there was only a 5 min wait.
We then head on over to Indy Jones. Since we had FPs, we were let in quickly & we ended up sitting in the very first row. Now I was not sure if DS would like this show or not. Last summer he didnt seem that impressed with it.
Well, he LOVED IT this time!!!!! He just loved it.
After the show, we stuck around for a bit & Indiana Jones came out & said hi. My son was so thrilled, he got a picture with Indiana Jones. Unfortunately, when we got that picture back it was too dark so you really cant see Indy Jones that good. My son was pretty bummed about that.
After the Indy Jones show, we stopped at the little Indy Jones cart & brought my son a snake & some jewels.
It was about Noon & we wanted to stick around by the big hat because are goal was to try to meet Hercules! I knew the characters come out at 12:30, so we found a bench & all enjoyed a Mickey Bar while we waited.
I was just hoping & praying Hercules would be making an appearance, DS really wanted to meet him.
Well, the characters started coming out & I saw Meg, so I followed her hoping Hercules would be there soon. We were second in line & all of a sudden Hercules & Phil show up!!!!!!!!! We were so excited to finally get a picture with Hercules!
I think my son was in awe because he didnt say much to Hercules, he just kept smiling!! LOL
After finally meeting Hercules, we saw Mulan with Mushu. Although we have seen Mulan, we never saw Mushu so we got in line.
We still had some time so we quickly got in Jafars line, another character we never had a chance to meet before.
Once the characters went inside, we decided that we were hungry. Since last June (2003), my son has been BEGGING to go into Pizza Planet! Well, since I knew this would be our last trip for at least 2 years, I decided Pizza Planet was a good choice.
My son was just thrilled! He was jumping & clapping all the way to Pizza Planet. The whole time he was eating, he was smiling. I think he just could not believe he was finally eating at Pizza Planet!
It has been a wonderful, memory making morning! This day was just perfect.
After eating our pizzas, which by the way, were pretty tasty. We went over to Als Toy Barn to meet Toy Story friends. Buzz, Woody & Jessie were out. It did not matter to my son if he met them before, he wanted to meet them again!
We met them again & he was just in a perfect mood. We were going to head over to Mickey Ave to meet Mickey in his sorcerer outfit.
We were all enjoying ourselves, when all of a sudden my son gets hit with a stroller & falls to the ground. The person pushing the stroller quickly says sorry and then leaves while my son is crying. We walk him over to the nearest bench. & see that his knee got scrapped.
I was pretty mad how people pushing stroller dont watch where they are going!
Anyway, we sat there for a while so my son could calm down & to give his knee some rest. After a while he was ready to go.
We went over to Mickey Ave & saw Sorcerer Mickey! Yeah!
It was about time to find a good spot for the parade, remembered the last time we wanted to see this parade it got cancelled because of the weather, so we really wanted to see it this time.
While we were walking towards Hollywood Blvd, my son saw the entrance to Walt Disneys One Mans Dream. He REALLY wanted to go in there. Now, I never have been in there because, well, I didnt think my son would enjoy it. But it was getting time to find a spot for the parade, so my mother went ahead to find us a spot on Hollywood Blvd, while my son & I went in to see One Mans Dream. I was actually surprised just how well my son sat for the film & seemed to be interested in it.
I am also glad I got the chance to finally see it too!
We went back to find my mother. I am happy to say the weather stayed clear for the parade this time. This is one of my favorite parades at Disney! I just love the cars & it seemed the characters are more interactive with the guest.
After the parade, my son said he was hungry, so we went to go get something to eat. As we were eating it started to rain, I was glad it rained then & not before or during the parade!
I wanted to stay for Fantasmic but my son was really acting tired & he started to complain his knee was hurting again. So after eating we decided to leave.
Which was probably good because we did have a very early breakfast scheduled in the morning.
This was our last day at MGM. I was kind of bummed that I had not been able to see Fantasmic this time around. I really love that show, but it just didnt seem to be in the cards.
Anyway, except for the stroller indent it was a PERFECT & MAGICAL day! I would really say this was one of the best days so far. My son really enjoyed himself this day & seemed to always have a smile on his face.
