Hi everyone! I wanted to share our latest movie night with you but first, look what I found when I went searching for the lanyard Ariana used for her GAC card last year:
This was from our first trip in 2006.
The gold was all over the castle on our first trip so we just thought that was the way it always looked.

The rest are from our 2007 trip.
Ahhh, that's better. I liked the gold, but this way is much nicer.

George's hair cracks me up.

He'd whipped off his sunglasses at the last second just before the picture was taken.
I still haven't found the lanyard but I was pleasantly distracted by the pictures!
Alright, now onto this week's movie night.

It was Demetri's choice and he'd been teasing me every day asking me to guess what he'd picked. I'd been trying to come up with a new treatie for the night too. It was hard to justify buying or making anything with buckets of Halloween candy around. I waited for inspiration to hit me.
So when I came home on Tuesday and headed to the kitchen to get dinner started, Demetri plunked a VHS tape down on the counter and announced it was his pick.
What was it?
Well hey! I LOVE this movie and it'd been ages since we sat down to watch it. Ariana adores Hawaiian Roller Coaster Ride and I don't think Demetri had seen the entire movie from start to finish. Excellent choice!
Flashback to the year 2002. I'd taken Ariana to the theatre to see the new movie Lilo and Stitch. She was bouncing in her seat and though she'd seen other movies before, she was laughing away at funny things Lilo had to say. Now keep in mind, at the age of six and with her diagnosis, Ariana wasn't really picking up on the humor in the speech parts of movies. Sure a funny thing to
see would get her to giggle and laugh, but for this movie, things that Lilo were saying were cracking her up. I remember thinking how much this movie was engaging her and it made me love Disney even more......

OK, back on track here!
So it was while I was preparing dinner that inspiration hit me. Follow me on this one.....
The movie was Lilo and Stitch.
Ohana means family. Family means no one gets left behind. Or forgotten.
Our favorite character meal at WDW is Ohana Breakfast with Lilo and Stitch.
We had Ohana juice in the freezer.
So Alex made a fresh batch and our treat for this movie night was Ohana juice!
Ariana waited patiently up to the point where Lilo, Nani, David and Stitch all go surfing. She then turned to me and asked, "Go ahead Ariana?" which if you remember means, "Can I get up and sing and dance around the living room?" So when I said to her, "Yes, go ahead Ariana." she bounced up from her chair and sang, clapped, marched and danced to Hawaiian Roller Coaster Ride.
Demetri's favorite part was when Lilo was showing an astonished Nani that she could use Stitch's claw as a needle on her record and Elvis would come out of Stitch's mouth. Ha!! He would giggle is little face off each time.
When the movie was over, Demetri declared, "I
LIKED it." and it was time to take another LGMH and link down.
SO CLOSE!!!
