DISNEY DREAMING! A Nov/Dec 2010 PTR *12/9 ~ Hello Again!

YAY for Mickey Mail!!! Always exciting. Love the Halloween pictures too. Your pumpkins turned out great!

As for the shopping, I like those mittens. They aren't the ones they sold for the Olympics, are they? They kind of look like them.

Matt and I made a picture itinerary for Nathan to use for our 08 trip...he got to stick picture stickers in a book as we did each thing...worked well. you can see a picture in the link in my siggie special guidebooks....

Cool... I'll have to check that out, thanks!

what's all this talk about rain...are you guys checking weather already for your weeks in Dec? I haven't checked for us yet...now you have me nervous.

I found a website that listed the average temperature over the last 15 years (I think it was 15 ) each day. I wrote down the highs and lows temps for our trip but now I can't find the website again. :headache:

I did try looking it up again tonite and found a different site that had the average rainfall and it was negligble. :thumbsup2

Oh man I need new fuzzy Disney Jammies I gave my old pair to Bekah, she's been wearing them this week to bed. :thumbsup2 are you going to wear your tinkk jammies in jan too...girls slumber party

I'm in the same boat, I've given a lot of things to Ariana. For sure I'll bring them for January! :rotfl:

looks like a wonderful trick or treating night...and your trip is really shapping up...I'll need to get a boat load of batteries before we leave too ;)

On our last trip, I was putting into my camera a fresh set of batteries every morning. Crazy!

I wish those were our pumpkins but they were from the street that goes all out.

Alex told me when he was handing out treats he had a little boy come to the door dressed in a gas mask and a radioactive suit. Alex thought he couldn't be more than eight years old. He told him he looked good and asked him who he was supposed to be and he answered, "I'm a representative of BP."

Whoops sorry, just realized I'd ignored your question  They're identical to the Olympic mittens (those are the kind Alex has) but just say Canada on them this time. Very snuggy.

Hi everyone! I wanted to share our latest movie night with you but first, look what I found when I went searching for the lanyard Ariana used for her GAC card last year:

This was from our first trip in 2006.

The gold was all over the castle on our first trip so we just thought that was the way it always looked.

The rest are from our 2007 trip.

George's hair cracks me up. :lmao: He'd whipped off his sunglasses at the last second just before the picture was taken.

I still haven't found the lanyard but I was pleasantly distracted by the pictures!

Alright, now onto this week's movie night. :happytv: It was Demetri's choice and he'd been teasing me every day asking me to guess what he'd picked. I'd been trying to come up with a new treatie for the night too. It was hard to justify buying or making anything with buckets of Halloween candy around. I waited for inspiration to hit me. :confused3

So when I came home on Tuesday and headed to the kitchen to get dinner started, Demetri plunked a VHS tape down on the counter and announced it was his pick.

What was it?

Lilo_y_Stitch_olas.jpg

Well hey! I LOVE this movie and it'd been ages since we sat down to watch it. Ariana adores Hawaiian Roller Coaster Ride and I don't think Demetri had seen the entire movie from start to finish. Excellent choice!

Flashback to the year 2002. I'd taken Ariana to the theatre to see the new movie Lilo and Stitch. She was bouncing in her seat and though she'd seen other movies before, she was laughing away at funny things Lilo had to say. Now keep in mind, at the age of six and with her diagnosis, Ariana wasn't really picking up on the humor in the speech parts of movies. Sure a funny thing to see would get her to giggle and laugh, but for this movie, things that Lilo were saying were cracking her up. I remember thinking how much this movie was engaging her and it made me love Disney even more...... :lovestruc OK, back on track here!

So it was while I was preparing dinner that inspiration hit me. Follow me on this one.....

The movie was Lilo and Stitch.
Ohana means family. Family means no one gets left behind. Or forgotten.
Our favorite character meal at WDW is Ohana Breakfast with Lilo and Stitch.
We had Ohana juice in the freezer.

:rotfl:

So Alex made a fresh batch and our treat for this movie night was Ohana juice!

Ariana waited patiently up to the point where Lilo, Nani, David and Stitch all go surfing. She then turned to me and asked, "Go ahead Ariana?" which if you remember means, "Can I get up and sing and dance around the living room?" So when I said to her, "Yes, go ahead Ariana." she bounced up from her chair and sang, clapped, marched and danced to Hawaiian Roller Coaster Ride.

Demetri's favorite part was when Lilo was showing an astonished Nani that she could use Stitch's claw as a needle on her record and Elvis would come out of Stitch's mouth. Ha!! He would giggle is little face off each time.

When the movie was over, Demetri declared, "I LIKED it." and it was time to take another LGMH and link down.

SO CLOSE!!!

Demetri has me thinking that I need to watch Lilo and Stitch tomorrow!! I just love that movie... :goodvibes

Ariana isn't the only one who likes to sing and dance during Disney movies... The only difference is I don't ask for permission first, Terry just has to deal with it... :lmao:

LOOKS LIKE A FUN NIGHT!!! When we were at Ohana a few wks ago, my friend asked about the Ohana juice, if it was made on site and our server replies "no..it's tropicana" or something that's around the same brand..

Kinda ruins the magic but oh well haha. It's awesome juice!

It IS awesome, we love it. I agree, it does take away a little bit when you find out it's not Disney made but then again we love the fact we can drink it at home too. I was so excited when I finally found it in the store!

Ok, Now I am dieing to know... what kind of juice is Ohana juice?

Ohana juice is a yummy, yummy combination of passionfruit, orange and guava juices -- "POG" is how I remembered when searching in the stores for it. Minute Maid is the brand we have.

Hey Tracy!!:goodvibes

Hey Angie... I know! Can you believe how crazy close we are now?? Ariana and Demetri have been watching Toy Story 3 over and over again. Pretty soon they'll be able to recite it word for word.

I loved watching Lilo and Stitch. These movie nights have just been the highlights of my weeks. :goodvibes

The first year we went, I had the bright idea to take pictures of the pictures so we wouldn't have to buy the entire package, so I had bootleg versions. They would leave the pictures with you so you could decide...... :rolleyes1
The next year I made up for it and bought each one we went to.

I wish those were our pumpkins but they were from the street that goes all out.

Oh, oops, I think I need to learn how to read.:blush:

Cool pictures too! And Lilo and Stitch is a cute movie. I love all your movie nights. Such a fun idea.

We're going to keep up with the movie nights. I'm not sure yet if Alex will join us or if his teenage social life will perservere.

I'm back! We got back on 10/24 and I just got caught up with everything! I missed a lot . Your trip is getting so close! I hope everything works out with the passport issue. We are going back in June for 5 days just for Universal and IOA and Disney water park this time. I told River we would travel to 1 amusement park each summer as long as he does good in school. We will be staying at POP so at least I get some Disney in. After that we won't be back until MK is completed:sad1: I can't wait to hear the rest of your plans!

Ok, Now I am dieing to know... what kind of juice is Ohana juice?

I wondered too. now that I know, I'll have to go find some too.

I have never seen Lilo and Stitch. I don't even know if we own it. We have a couple Disney VHS's from my older kids that I just have never watched. Hunchback of Notre Dame is one of them.
Yesterday and today, Claire and I watched Toy Story 1 and 2. It was fun.

Hey, Tracy!

Loved seeing all the old pictures... especially Ariana with Cinderella!

I don't know... I kind of liked the Castle when it was adorned with "bling!"

Kathy

Hm, I'm slightly disappointed that the O'hana juice isn't Disney made.. But I'm totally excited I can get some next time I go to the store!!! I love the Lilo & Stitch breakfast too, it's my favorite!

Awww, your found pictures are absolutely adorable! Isn't it great to watch your kids grow through pictures like that!

Sounds like a great movie night! We haven't seen Lilo and Stitch in a longtime! I keep think that we should watch all the disney Christmas movies we have the week before we leave to get in the mood but I'm not sure DH would go for it!
