This is our 4th Disney cruise, but first on the Dream. There are different restaurants that weren't available on the two older ships we went on and also a different show in Animators Pallette! For those of you that have been on the Dream before, what main dining room night/dinner would you miss to go to Palo?

Also, is there a cheaper alternative at Remy's, ie, brunch or lunch?

On the 4 night dream, when is formal night and when is Pirates?

Thank you!

I am one of the weird ones who is a fan of Pirate Night, but TBH for a first time on a ship I'd do Palo that night so you get the rotational menu in each MDR. But if I wanted to skip one it would be Royal whichever is on the Dream. I am not a fan of the menu at the Royal sisters or Triton's or Lumiere's (the last two based on looking at the menus online).

Remy does have brunch. From what I understand that is a much more fixed menu than dinner, so that could be something to consider.

Not sure - it's been a while since I was on the Dream. Pretty sure a 4-night just does "dress up optional" though. emphasis on "optional".

Very optional. I just go in a Disney Hawaiian shirt and long khakis or khaki shorts.

I really enjoy the Pirate night activities and menu as well, but would have to agree that for a first timer on this ship, to at least try to make it to each MDR once. I love the theming for Royal Palace, but the menu doesn't "wow" me, and if it were up to me, I would much rather eat at Palo that night.

Remy's brunch is less expensive than dinner, but I've never eaten there, so I can't speak on the food. We're going on a 4 nighter in just over a week, and were able to book the dessert party at Remy, so we'll still get to experience the restaurant.

On a 4 nighter, don't you get each restaurant twice? so can I miss a double?

There are THREE dining rooms. So no, you don't get each one twice on a 4-night as you'd need 6 nights to get each one twice.

On a 4-night you get each MDR once with its rotational menu and ONE will be a repeat on Pirate Night.

Sorry, I meant I would double up in one. So if I skip pirate night, I would try each mdr menu once? Maybe I'll just do Palo brunch and skip dinner??

Yes. If you did Remy or Palo on Pirate Night you would still have the rotational menus in each of the dining rooms.
