Disney Dream transatlantic October 20 2024

Is there a separate interior exit from Edge or does it share the Vibe entrance/exit? I hope it's the former. It's bad enough with teens using the accessible entrance and exit on Deck 5, galumphing up and down the halls, yelling, banging on doors and stealing/moving magnets/pins/etc at all hours of the day and night on the port side. I can't imagine turning a bunch of tweens loose on the starboard side to do the same.
First time dream cruiser here. Is there an entrance to the teen areas on Deck 5 as well as deck 4? We are staying on deck five and our 11-year-old will be new to all this so it would be easier for him just to walk down the hall on deck five if he could get into the clubs that way.

Thanks in advance for the help!

It doesn't look like it. I added the link to the ship deck plans. There's a drop-down box just choose Dream and pick deck 5. If you scroll all the way forward it doesn't show any entrance to hose areas.

Deck 4 Forward is WDT and looks less likely to have access.

Could it be the Vibe entrance is next to Cabin 5005? If so, that’s an area I cannot imagine booking.

A solid line (wall) for a venue (or cabin) does not indicate no door.

Do you know if they replaced the beds and everything in all of the rooms on board? Or only select rooms?
In the video (#1) posted by @insureman, a Deck 6 verandah shows no evidence of any decor change. Everything looks like it has for years.

I wouldn’t be surprised by a mattress change; but that’s not visibly obvious.

There are two entrances to Vibe. One is on Deck 4 and requires stairs. The other one is on Deck 5 between 5001 and 5501. It is often called the "secret" entrance. It appears from both videos and deck plans that to enter Edge they go through Vibe now (which makes sense with the layout) But if I had a young 11 year old I would not be thrilled about this change. I would not want them sharing any space with 17 yos (even a common entrance) and the fact that Edge can't even be given a dedicated entrance just so DCL can charge for an overpriced funnel suite would have me upset.

Yes there has always been an entrance to Vibe on Deck 5 and now it appears Edge also can use that entrance (the Edge kids appear to need to go through Vibe to get to Edge because it appears extremely limited structural changes were made and basically they just took one of the rooms in Vibe and set it aside for Edge).

Are they actually going to be mixed together or is it two separate groups that are just sharing an space? I would be nervous about leaving my daughter (who has exactly 14m left in Oceaneers) in a mixed space at age 11/12/13, but I don’t really care if they are able to see each other in a large common area as long as the youth staff is keeping them separated and supervised.

They are not mixed together- they share some common entrances and then they have their own separate glass doors separating them- they have a common hall to enter and exit, but that’s it. The outdoor space that they share will be designated for certain times for either the edge or the vibe groups to use it.

The vibe used to be a bigger space that they basically split and gave a piece to Edge. I still don’t like the common entrance and exit points because those are the places that counselors will not be and I think it’s going to seriously increase the foot traffic for those on deck five.

Actually someone mentioned there is an entrance between 5001 and 5501. I missed that small corridor on the map.

Did they change theming of Enchanted Garden?
Nope. It appears besides adding tacos on the pool deck and changing the infinity section of the kids club to Spiderman theme almost all of the guest facing changes are focused on concierge guests. Carving up Vibe to place Edge there (and adding a gaga ball pit to the outdoor area) to make space for the new concierge funnel suite, the new concierge guest rooms on Deck 10 and one more where a spa treatment room was, new concierge lounge, and expanding the concierge sundeck.

Carpet, wall covering, television (LG) are all new BUT it’s the same pattern so it looks the same, but is new. Sheets are “Frette for Disney”. Funnelvision insanely loud. Palo dinner was great - we had Victor. Very charming. Nothing for a cough or cold in the shop. Bring your own cough drops OTC medication if you think you’ll need it. Auto open doors - new since MY last cruise. Ice cream dispensers seem repositioned further back. Much tougher for little ones to reach without help. Characters in abundance. Food seems better - more international options.
