hi there,

i have searched and searched - here and on the internet in general. i am looking for the width of the stateroom door (deck 8, deluxe oceanview sateroom with verandah). my door design needs to be the exact width (or thereabouts) and fit in between the porthole and key reader. so dimensions of the door and close to exact (as is possible) location of the doorknob and key reader in relationship to the bottom edge would be so very appreciated! TIA

From PlanDisney -

“My family enjoys walking through the hallways of this ship to see all the fun decorations on each stateroom door. We are starting to run out of room on our door as we seem to collect more and more magnets each time we sail! Why not use every inch? On the Disney Dream, you have approximately 28.75" by 77.75" to fill with pixie dusted décor.”

“When planning for your door decorations, I would plan for 7.5 inches in diameter. I went back and measured my “go to” porthole décor and it indeed measures a little over 7.5 across, which allows for a tad bit of wiggle room to fit around! I realized that I have used this same décor on all four ships with no problem, so I would stick with that measurement when making your door decorations!”

From DISboards (this was probably Magic/ Wonder)

(I have no idea what the “door assembly” is.
Those dimensions don't seem to be correct. DCL says if you book a regular cabin and use an ECV it can be no wider than 22" to fit through the door. What you posted is almost 7" wider. I wonder if that is a Concierge Cabin?

It looks like the 28+ inches includes the door frame. The actual door seems to be 23”.

I’m still getting dimensions that vary.

From PlanDisney

”It is my understanding that every stateroom onboard has the exact same door width, regardless of which category you're staying in, with the exception of the wheelchair-accessible staterooms. The typical stateroom doors are 23 inches wide. The wheelchair-accessible stateroom doors are 32 inches wide, with a wider entranceway into the stateroom as well.”
That makes more sense.

hey guys :)

I am onto the next part of my project and was wondering if anybody has a guess as to how high the room number plaque sits, from the surface of the door itself? like, how high would it's profile be if you could measure it? Im guessing this is super random and hasn't been asked (but I hope that it has)! I made a cover for mine (cleared with DCL), with the room number incorporated into my design and am wondering how much space to allow between the back of my design (for magnets/lights) and the surface of the door (magnetic surface). I'm sorry if I am not making my question clear! I can't think of another way to describe what I want to know....

I would call it depth. But don’t know what that number would be.
