Disney Dream restaurants question

Ok all so we are thinking of sailing on the Dream in concierge level. We have only done one Disney cruise many many years ago. One big reason in part because have heard Remy and Palo are excellent restaurants. However I have heard that it’s very difficult to get reservations there unless you are very high up in the Disney Cruise Club. As basically second time cruisers would we have difficulty getting reservations?

If you sail in concierge you will have no difficulty getting reservations for Palo and Remy

We book Palo on the fantasy the day of embarkation every cruise. Never been an issue to get a reservation. This is for dinner, not brunch.

I would not book concierge just to guarantee dinner reservations at Palo and Remy. I'm only silver and dinner reservations have always been available to book, especially if you are flexible on reservation time. We've even been able to snag a Palo brunch reservation about 15 days before embarkation. I would just randomly check the app.

Im silver and Ive done Palo brunch on every cruise. Some cruises Ive been able to book when my activity booking window opened, some cruises I got a reservation on embarkation day with the dining team. The dining team are at tables outside Enchanted Garden restaurant on deck 2 until about 2pm on embarkation day.

I’m cruising in January on the Dream and Pablo and Remy are available every day for dinner, except Palo on n1. If it’s just dinner you want you really don’t need concierge just for that.

Echoing what others have said. We did Remy 3x and Palo 2x on the cruises we booked as Silver tier... if you can be flexible on timing, you're not going to have any trouble getting in as long as you book right when your window opens.

We sailed the Dream over spring break this year as first-time Disney cruisers. Had no issue reserving Palo brunch before our sailing.

I agree with a lot of what has been said. BUT, if it's a more unique itinerary, those tend to draw more of the higher-up Castaway Club members. When that happens, Palo and Remy tend to be harder to book. I'm on the Feb 1 Treasure sailing next year which is a unique itinerary. I'm gold, and when my booking window opened there were barely any Palo/Remy slots available (at any time). Now there is nothing available on the website.

Yes, they do keep slots back for booking once onboard, and I know this is the Treasure (not the Dream), so that is a bit different. But I did want to share that rarer itineraries do usually draw more high-level CC members, which can affect this. But if you're sailing concierge then it won't be an issue.
