Disney Dream - Prices

Based on the activity on these boards, looks like the 8/16 cruise is a popular one -

Yep, I believe the price on that one was a bit less than on any of the other 5 night cruises. We Dis-ers are all over a deal! ;)

Yay! Booked and booked. We are on 5/8 sailing, 2A, cat 9A $1272 (no insurance or transfers). I was tempted to upgrade us to 6A b/c it was only $300 more, but decided we'd rather spend that on something extra special since it's our anniversary cruise -- maybe V&A pre-cruise :thumbsup2 These prices are GREAT. Our last cruise on DCL we booked very early on for that same time, but paid that price for a cat 12. Very cool.

Hello! This may be my first post here, but I've never cruised before and figured I'd better get as much info as I can, since we are now booked on the Dream!!

2/27 - 3/3. Cat. 6B Veranda, for two adults $1552.34.

I thought that was fairly reasonable! I look forward to learning all that I can!

Not sure this has been posted but September 18th 2011 4day cruise a private function DVC - I was told by DCL today:earsboy:.

When you go to book online it doesn't allow you to book that date. I sort of had an idea this would be resereved for the MC *** that's what people were saying on Satuday when they were booking the 2010 MC.Which is unfortunte *** that's the date I wanted. Boo hoo!

Anyway we rescheduled for 11th so we're all booked. :yay:

Went online/called in this morning and got some pricing for the May 1, 2011 voyage (4 night) - now trying to decide which one we want to book!

Cat 5D, 2A, $1692.34 (no insurance or transfers)
or
Cat V, 2A, $2,872.34 (no insurance or transfers)

Any opinions welcome!

Oh, also got pricing for a Cat T: $4,412.34!!!

Yeah. I'm so excited. I called at 8am this morning and only had to wait 2 min. We booked for:
April 17 (4 night) 2A 2K
category 10A.
Cost was $1734.77.

Wow was I shocked. This much less than what I expected. Now the countdown begins.

2A + 2C (11 & 7) $2944.68, Cat 9A (just heard from DCL this cat is now booking into GTY status) no insurance, no transfers.... Aug 16, 2011 5 night sailing on the Dream!

Aug. 16, 2011 5-night double dip
2A 1C
Cat. 5A $3282.60
no ins/transfers

I thought that was really reasonable, actually. Maybe just b/c I'm still reeling a bit from the Alaska prices, lol. Still going. Just reeling.

My family decided they might prefer the 5/29 5-night (after I booked the 6/3 4-night last Monday). So I went online first thing and got a room for only $322 more. I just went online to check for the heck of it -- and the prices have gone up almost $900 already!!!!!!

that really good better price than my 05/29/2009 5 day and you have a window. I wish I would of know June 7th would of been cheaper that 05/29

I was originally looking at both those dates, and I thought the two were the same price.

We are also booked on the August 16 cruise!

2A/2K Category 4D $4064.68. This is a connecting room with friends of ours who booked 2A/2K at $4048.77.

So excited! We got exactly where we wanted on the ship! :cool1:

When I was checking dates this morning for the 5 day, the lady told me 8/16 was the cheapest date available.

Must have gone up quite a bit. I just checked it and it is actually more expensive than the 5/29 price I got online this morning. The prices seem to be really moving up quickly today. Reminds me of the old days when everyone booked on opening day. I do think the split of gold/platinum has helped keep the prices from rising as quickly!
