Disney Dream - Prices

Keep in mind that they will gladly put a cabin on a courtesy hold and then you have a couple of days to either keep it and pay the deposit, or cancel (the reservation will cancel automatically if you don't pay the deposit by the due date). So, you really don't have to make any snap decisions while you're on the phone with the CM.

That's the way things have always worked on DCL. As a cabin category fills up, the prices start to go up. I remember when we booked the first EB Panama Canal crossing, the prices went up several hundred dollars per person during the course of the first day that the reservations were available. Some/most of the airlines do the same thing..... as the plane fills up, the prices go up. From what I've seen it's pretty standard practice in the travel industry.

Thanks for your kind replies. I guess that's what's really bugging me ... with gold/platinum cruisers getting a week's jump on everyone else, certain categories will fill up and raise prices for us a week from now. I think that stinks.

Oh, and before anyone reminds me, yes, I know life isn't fair. ;) I guess if DCL feels it's okay to sell their cruises preferentially like this, I have the prerogative of keeping my money and not giving it to them, right? :goodvibes

3A Cat 5c stateroom 7572
May 29th 5-nighter 3,379.51
This is including onboard booking benefits of 10% off, $100 obc, and 50% deposits.

We are really pleased with the prices. For a brand new DCL ship they are very reasonable. We are planning on booking a few more rooms when we are on the ship next week. Go DCL!!!

As us mear mortals can't book till next monday I'm looking for a ball park figure for the following:

2 adults

5 nights

August 2nd 7th or 16th

cat: 9A, 9B or 10A

thanks in advance and well done all you lucky people who've already booked!!!

Anyone???? please.

were you able to book Dec 29. I was just told by a castmember that I could not book for this date. That they are not releasing it until 11/11 for everyone! I am a plantium member.

At first the CM told me those dates were not open up yet for booking. When I told him they showed on-line he checked and the dates came up.

I didn't go as far as booking because I went with my June dates, however the CM never said I would not be able to book when he gave me the rates :confused3

I'd definitely call back. Good Luck. Holiday Cruises are awesome!

10A - 2112.34

8/16 (no ins, no air, no xfr)

9A - 1832.34
9B - 1792.34
10A - 1552.34

No but like an earlier poster mentioned, if you need airfare -- that could increase your price significantly over Memorial weekend.

We probably wouldn't do airfare because we are on the outskirts of it being doable in driving (especially with four tickets). But definitely something else to consider.

Would love to hear pricing from someone sailing in July 2011 for a 5 night cruise on the Dream. I am trying to decide between a category 4 or 5. My head is spinning not knowing what to tell my TA for next week since the pricing isn't released...so frustrating! :worship:

we are 5 people...2adults, and 6/9/11 year olds at time of sailing....

checked for 5 nighters...5/29 and 6/7, 2011...both cruises were the same price; summer cruises were in the $7000's range

we chose a cat 8B--family OV on deck 9. total was $3720.85 w/ 10% off and $150 OBC...

thought the prices weren't too bad....

Did you happen to price 2 inside staterooms for the same group? We are also looking at the 6/7/11 sailing and will have 2 adults and 6/9/11 years olds at that time.

Thanks!!

has anyone booked the Thanksgiving cruise? We are currently booked on the Magic 7 day and I'm wondering how the prices look for the Dream during that week.

we have a 7A with 2 adults and 11A with 1 adult and 2 children.

Thanks

Feb 27, 2011

Cat T Deck 12

2A 3C 15,13,11

$6,090.85

There are no "value season" prices available like there are for 2010.

Thanks to the BEST TA:
2 Royal Suites
7 adults, 1 tween
7/10 and 7/15/11
cost: too high to mention.

Here's a piece of info for comparison. We were briefly booked on the wonder July 2010 5 day double dip in the Walt Suite. Total $18500 for seven people - 2 adults, 5 kids - 11, 10, 9, 7, 3.

Would love to know what the above cat R for a five day for 4 people would be on the Dream.

Booking started at 8 am Central. Our TA emailed me at 8:45 to let me know we were booked. Below is the info she provided. Note, all prices below are based on 2 adults and 2 Children.

August 7, 2011 (5 night cruise with Double Dip at Castaway Cay)

5-night Disney Dream

Category 11C: $3484.68

Category 11B: $3544.68

August 16, 2011 (5 night cruise with Double Dip at Castaway Cay)

5-night Disney Dream

Category 11C: $2424.68 – Deck 2 – no sideway cabins available

Category 11B: $2484.68 – Deck 5,6,7 – only available far forward on ship

Category 11A: $2584.68 – Deck 8, Sideways Room (This is what we picked FYI)

So we ended up with a "virtual porthole" sideways room on Deck 8, Cat 11A.

Oh come on now, you have to share! I'm dying to know what the prices are. Did you get the room inbetween them too, or just the two royal suites?

I didn't know there was a room in between until you said that. Oh, I feel soooo sorry for any family staying between our two families:lmao:

Thanks for this. You have the same party size as us and considered the dates we were interested in. You don't by chance know the Adult/Child cost breakdown do you? And did you add any insurance or transfers?
