Disney Dream - October 9, 2011 - 4 Nights

Well, i made me a count down jar! It is a jar filled with M&M's. After counting out 300+ M&M's i really dont want to look at another M&M...LOL! OH well i will have to look at atleast one a day for the next 10.5 months!

Planning to do MNSSHP either before or after the cruise and doing some shopping at Downtown Disney.
Torn between staying at Pop Century or one of the "Good Neighbors".
Any suggestions?

us too :goodvibes

I heard the dates for the MNSSHP are announced in May?
We will stay on property just for transportation as we won't be renting a car during our trip.

I am hoping for a pin or discount and we can get a room at the CR, we usually stay at the ASMu.

We stay on site, because it gives you the "full" Disney experience. You have the convenience of the transportation, and having purchases sent back to your room. But mostly we just love the Disney theming (pools, rooms, dining). And I appreciate the Disney customer service (it really is a shock to come back to the reality of what passes for customer service in the "real world") We figure we can stay at other hotels any time, so when we do a Disney trip, we want everything Disney! (Ok, the kids and I do -- hubby things I'm a little over the top fanatic :rotfl:) But seriously, it feels more like we're on vacation the entire time when we stay on site, than going back and forth (on and off property).

We've stayed at the ASMovies in the past. But more recently we've stayed at the CBR - in the Pirate rooms. The kids LOVED the room and the pool! We're going to stay at the Polynesian the night before the cruise, and then CBR when we get back for a few days in the parks and the NSSHP.

I know it's a little early, but do we have an up to date count of FE participants? I'd like to do a little shopping this weekend. :santa:

Of course, I know the numbers will go up as we get closer to time. Any of you "experienced" cruisers have any tips on how to gage how many to plan for ahead of time?

I would add at least 5 to the # of cabins participating as we are still 6 months off. In the past ones I have done, the cut of date for FE sign up is usually 2 or 3 months before hand.

Thanks! Good to know that I won't have to plan for TONS more, and that it cuts off early so I don't have to scramble around at the last minute! :thumbsup2

Hello everyone! I thought I'd look for the meet thread and here it is. Our family is booked. It is myself, dh, dd age 7 (at time of sailing) and dd age 9 (at time of sailing) as well as my mother. Everyone is looking forward to sailing the Disney Dream. :cool1:

Hi everyone! Just wanted to come over and say hello - it'll be me and DH on this cruise and we're so excited!

Here is our Cabin # for FE
6501.
We actually have 6001 too but will hang FE on 6501 door :thumbsup2

Hey Betty Sue.... that's my mom's name too! :thumbsup2 (Didn't mean to rhyme!)

BTW, seeing your photo in 5th - what kind of dance do you do, or just showing off flexibility?:goodvibes

LOL. No dancing for these legs these days. The closest I get now is through my daughter who is a professional Theatre Dancer. I was entertaining myself while in the line for Soarin' and found that I could still do some of my youth learned ballet positions.

Welcome to all of the new cruisers! I am so excited and so impatient for this trip!! October cannot come fast enough!!!!

WELCOME ABOARD NEWBIES!!!
Is this your 1st Disney cruise? Are you participating in FE?

This is our 2nd Disney cruise. We did the 11 night Med cruise on the Magic last May. Definitely the best vacation we've been on! I think for this cruise we ARE going to do the FE. We didn't do it on our last one and it looked like so much fun!

Just got off the Wonder!
:santa:
Packing my FE gifts now for the flight home.
Finally talked our parents into cruisin' so
booked this cruise while onboard!
:woohoo:
Would love to join FE! 4 adults-Tim, Tamyra
and parents Ted and Imogene, cabin 6156.
And while we're doin' some college talkin'
on this thread-Go Hokies!!
