Booked may 1, 2011. this is our first cruise and we are so excited!:yay: myself, DH, DD-9 and DS-5 (ages at sailing). Anyone else joining us. I would love to find some other people with kids prior to the cruise. I can't wait to read about the new ship next february.

Count me and DBF in for this one! I had originally booked the cruise for May 15 - May 19 but we had a slight shift in our schedule so earlier this morning I actually changed it to this cruise. I was afraid we wouldn't be able to go but this cruise will work out perfectly. We booked category 6A on Deck 8 (and got the same stateroom as the one we originally booked), can't wait! It will be my 6th Disney Cruise (I've been on the Wonder to the Bahamas four times and the Magic around the Mexican Riviera once) and Frankie's 1st cruise ever...we're very excited! Can't wait to meet everyone! :goodvibes

I have added your thread to the cruise meet list. :thumbsup2

Hi there! And Hi fellow Canadian!
We booked on the first booking day opened to general public. So I know since November that we are going to our first ever cruise. New with everything Disney. My daughter lives with special needs, this is why I try to learn as much as I can about our 17 days Disney trip including this cruise. We'll start at the Poly and then the cruise.
Happy to join the thread.
By the way, my first language is French, so you'll have to bear with my English!

hello,
We're also anboard, DH, DD1(14), DD2(9) by then. It's gonna be our 3th cruise with Disney. Also gifted with a child with special needs. Do read the passporter books about the cruises and Disney for persons with special needs. Cast members everywhere on the boat and especially in the kidsclub rock! for every child. We have booked a 9A again.

Allesma

My native language is Dutch, so please cope with my mistakes

Hi everybody,

When I realized that the week-end before May 1st was Easter in 2011 and that we HAD to be at the Poly but it would fall on the Easter week-end, I changed my Dreams' reservation to May 8. So, I'm very sorry since you seems like nice guys, but I have to leave for the May 8 meet.

Make sure that when you leave the boat, even if you loved it so much, you don't take everything with you so there is a boat left for the next week's gang! :worship:

Have a nice trip! Have Disney fun :upsidedow

I booked on the May 1st sailing for myself, boyfriend, DS(12) and DD(2). This was suspose to be a surprise for xmas, but my boyfriend already caught on, so it is now just a surprise for my son (daughter doesn't understand yet). I am so excited! We are thinking about doing a b2b and booking the next 3 day cruise also. I wanted to go to Disneyworld for 3 days after, but I am afraid it will be do hectic woith a little one and the 3 day cruise looks like a cheaper option. I need to decide before prices go up. I am so glad to have other people excited about it. My boyfriend is already over hearing about it. He has never been to anything Disney and just doesn't understand how much fun he is going to have!

Just booked this cruise as well. Really looking forward to it!!

We re-booked for this cruise while on board the Wonder this past April. Couldn't pass up the freebies and also be among the first few months of sailing the DREAM! Me, DH, DS (8) and DD (5) will be sailing and our friends will be sailing too. We've all got cat 8C's.

I really wanted to try the 7 nighter next but that fell wayside to the new DREAM, must see it, you know!!

I understand that! I still keep questioning myself. Why book 2 cruises in a row to get my 7 day cruise in, when I could just book a 7 day on another ship? I just can't pass up seeing the Dream! Even if it means 2 stops at Nassau.

also booked this for our first disney cruise. husband daughter (7 yrs old) and myself. I am really excited husband tired of hearing about it he thinks it is too early to be excited about it LOL>>>> any tips for first timers greatly appreciated . Can't wait to meet everone. we have a deluxe family with a varndah.

I am thinking of going on this cruise with my then 5 year old grandson who lives in New Brunswick Canada. He is a sweetie. We are grandparents, but are not "old". I sometimes think I'm more excited about this trip than Logan!
How did you decide where on the ship to book? That is what is holding me up...not sure if i want middle, front, or back.

my travel agent said that if you are worried about seasickness the middle of the ship is the best. Least amount of motion. also the higher up you are the more motion you are likely to feel. hope this helps see you on the cruise....

We'll also be on the Disney Dream on 05/01/2011 - very excited - it's our first cruise! DH (27) & I (26) exchanged our DVC points for a 4 day cruise (when we signed up for DVC, we sort of ended up with almost an extra year's worth of points due to our use year, so we decided to use them for a cruise). We have an oceanview room at the VERY front of the ship (no mid-ship rooms available in our category) - I'm really nervous as I tend to get motion sickness from planes let alone a big ship.

I've having fun planning but I wish it would hurry up and get here already! I've been REALLY tempted to add on a cruise this year to our WDW trip (shhh don't tell DH) as I really want to experience the Wonder as well as the awesome new Dream. I'm really excited about the Dream! It looks amazing!

Count me in!! This will be our 2nd Disney cruise. We did a 4 day Wonder cruise last October and I cannot WAIT to go again on the Dream! It will be me, DH (we will be celebrating his bday), and my son (5) and daughter (3). I am so glad my daughter will be old enough for the kids club this time...woohoo. More alone time for the adults;) Don't forget to book your Palo reservations. YUMMMMMMMM.....

ok middle ship. now room category. i want inside room just to have the virtual porthole; i think Logan will enjoy that! any suggestions as to why i should not book this room?

We did an inside room last year. We viewed a balcony room while we were there and decided to book that for this cruise. The inside rooms are fine if you don't mind not having a "real" window and close quarters :) My kids didn't mind it at all!

:yay:i've never been on a cruise ship before so i am very unfamiliar; does it matter which level we stay on or which category? i want to keep costs down, but if it means a big difference, i'll upgrade. any suggestions?

My ta told me that the higher deck you are on the more motion you are likely to feel. If you are worried about seasickness, try one of the lower decks. I am on deck 6. I saw one of the other posters said that you are looking at water no matter where you are so it is really a matter of preference and cost to each person. My husband and daughter have never been on a cruise so we chose the room and deck the ta suggested to minimize the occurance of seasickness. Hope this helps ...

see ya in may dream2011:woohoo:
