We are booked for the 5 nt Disney Dream cruise leaving Ft. Lauderdale on Easter Sunday in 2024. Does DCL do anything special for Easter? Any cute bunny meet & greets or characters in pastel outfits? Easter egg hunts?

I’m wondering if it might be a bit subdued due to it being on the day we set sail vs the middle of the cruise.

Any feedback on experiences would be appreciated!

Following along, since we’ll be on the Dream this Easter for the first time. I’ll report back, too. I’m bringing Marvel and Disney themed prefilled Easter eggs that I found at Five Below and planning to pixie dust them on Easter morning. I know this is controversial, but my kids love finding and hiding ducks so I bought some Easter themed ducks from Amazon that we are bringing. (One of them is a chocolate bunny duck!!)

I've been on the Fantasy when Easter was the day after boarding. Characters are in Easter type outfits. Super cute. Also boarded the Wonder on Easter and characters were in Easter/spring clothing. The white rabbit was also out. We got character photos before first seating.

Was on the Wonder last year on Easter embarkation day. All they had were Easter chocolate decorations at the restaurant entrances, of course covid protocol was still in effect.

Just got off the Dream on Monday. The lines were crazy long for characters (the ship was very full of children) so didn’t attempt any of those to notice Easter outfits. They had the chocolate egg display at the restaurants that others have mentioned, bunny theming on lots of the treats at Vanellope’s, special chocolates with a Happy Easter wrapper on turndown Sunday night, and Spring Crafts as a family activity. No religious services that I could find. Nothing with plastic eggs that I saw in the navigator.

Thank you for the update— hope you had a lovely vacation.

I know in the past there has been both a Catholic Mass and a non-denominational Christian service, but both of those may depend on DCL arranging for a priest/pastor to join the sailing.
