Toasts in the Champagne bar? 18 years for us on the 10th!

I'm up to having a champagne toast celebrating folks' anniversaries and marriages! Mentioning a toast brings me to a another good question - on the ship in the "District' is what I think it's called, which bars/clubs/pools etc. are the best places on the Dream you have found for a fun area for adults. Also - where's the best place to get coffee or a specialty coffee drink?

I loved the Pink Champagne bar! Hubby and I started our last Dream cruise with a drink in there the first night. Can't say on coffee - no coffee drinkers in our house!

We just got back from a Spring Break cruise with a different line. We had a nice experience, but now I have a dumb question. Are there plugs by by the bedside tables? The cruise line we just got off of didn't have any clocks by the bed and no place to plug in an illuminated clock. I had brought another clock, but there wasn't a place to plug in one with a light.

Also, when people say there isn't much storage space in the bathroom, is there any storage space? Our last cruise had about 3 small shelves in the bathroom and that was enough to put our basic supplies with my makeup bag on the vanity counter.

I know - it's the stupid details I ask about. On a good note, we learned a lot about packing for a cruise on this one.

Glad to be back in contact with everyone after a week without internet. Welcome to all the new FE participants.

We took a over the door shoe organizer w/ us to store toys and shoes. There was a corner shelf w/ 3 shelves to place bathroom supplies. I turned our desk into a vanity and put my makeup and hair supplies there. OH!! The hair dryers aren't very powerful. I brought along mine, thank goodness! Also, the only place that I found to plug in my flat iron was behind the tv! I had to call guest services when I couldn't find an adaptable outlet and they told me to unplug the tv and use that outlet!
We had a bedside illuminated clock in our room that was just perfect.

Can't wait, it's getting closer!!:boat:

I know that I have read to bring a power strip. And where did you hang your shoe organizer? Were you able to close the door? When we were at Wilderness Lodge we couldn't close the door at all. I think we ended up rigging it somehow on the closet rod.

We hung our over the door shoe organizer (full of Barbies, Duffy the Disney bear's outfits, pirate paraphernalia, etc.) The bathroom door closed just fine. It was wonderful and helped keep our room clutter free. I LOVE the Wilderness Lodge. We stayed there last Christmas and couldn't have been happier.

My Fish Extender is almost complete!! All for $4! The topper is drying right now and then I will try and get a picture up.

I also completed another gift with success. Thank goodness for Pinterest and the board here for the ideas.

Our traveling companions, the Pettus Clan will be in room #9008. They want to participate in the Fish Extender gift exchange as well. They have 2 adults (Randy/Karie) and Maggie (age 9) and Laura Beth (age 11 - she is actually my daughter but is crashing in their room).

Here is ours from our last trip. My mother and daughter and I had a blast! We have ordered a new one from a shop on Etsy so my husband will have a pocket. Can't wait to see it. Reminds me, I got to dig out the cruise countdown shown in the photo!

What a great way to celebrate! How many years? Hope Happymama3 can join you. I'm looking forward to the brunch on the morning after Pirate night. Might need a hair of the dog if you know what I mean.pirate:

Thanks again for handling the FE list. Last time, we met at the Rockin D bar at 3:00 and we all had a blast meeting each other. In fact, I'm going to Texas for my daughter's spring break and catching up with a mother/ daughter I met through the FE group. I made nametags and have plenty leftover if you would like to do something like that.

Oh, can you mention that my daughter has a dairy allergy next to her name on the FE list? Thanks!!

Cool! Knew the allergies from your p link. Your (I'm guessing hubby) had on an allergy t-shirt in one of the photos. My daughter has dairy, egg, and nut. Son with soy and nut. So your daughter is in good company.

I hope we can join RunnerMom for the anniversary dinner. Albeit a little late (our 20 year is a few weeks earlier) so this will be our night out as well.

Congratulations to the honeymooners! Welcome to everyone else that has joined! Just catching up since traveling for work. All of the pre work by the group is impressive. Nice to know everyone doesn't procrastinate like I do! Have a great week!

Yes, that was my husband. Do your kids like Enjoy life chocolate candy bars? i'll wrap them in Disney themed paper if they do. I'll wrap over the original wrapper , so that they know that it is safe. Thank God for that company!
What do you do about lunch on ports? I know that you can take only pre packaged food that hasn't been opened to many of them. Do they serve safe food at Castaway Cay? I'm comfortable w/ everything on the cruise except for the lunches at ports. Any help would be much appreciated! Also, we have Disney gift card giveaways to the most "liked" restaurant reviews from Disney World, Disney Land, and Disney cruises. You ought to think about sending one in after the cruise! ::MinnieMo

They haven't tried that brand but I'm sure they would love it! I haven't thought about the ports yet. I assumed Disney would make accommodation as they usually do and I would figure it out when booking excursions. Hopefully not a bad assumption or I will have cranky, hungry kids! Of course as long as they have a book or electronic device they may not notice!

Last cruise we went to Costa Maya and Grand Cayman on Disney excursions. They did not prepare or tell me ahead of time about the food policies for other countries. You could not take any opened prepackaged food, or food made to go by the Disney chefs! Not even a cup of coffee. I took my daughter back to the ship for lunch on the first excursion. The next one, I bought Lays potato chips, salsa, and took some unopened cookies to the next port. I waited to buy the Lays chips when we docked and the duty free shop was closed! The customer service people went and got me some unopened Lay's chips to take w/ me. She was starving when we got back!! This time in Nassau, I plan to take these prepackaged meals called "picnics" that are made for specific food allergies. They sell them ay Target and they are nutritious and really good. Hopefully, at Castaway Cay, we can get the chefs on board to make "to go" lunches in case we don't feel comfortable w/ the safety of the food offered there. I'm going to ask as soon as I talk to the head waiter when we arrive. Life w/ food allergies is tough, but Disney is awesome and the best at handling them! They don't have to go to the trouble that they do for us and our kids!

Who has done the watercoaster on the Dream? Fun? Is there a long line to use it, or is there a fast pass for the wastercoaster?
