Disney Dream June 24, 2012 5 Night Bahamian

How strong are the drinks Cherinva ? I would love to meet for a drink or two (or 3?). :goodvibes Seriously though, I'm in for a meet but nothing that takes too much planning. Just a "Hey, everyone who is interested lets meet on ________at _________ at ___________ o'clock to chat".

Hi Pikester !!! Honestly, it depends on the bartender....I got a drink on Castaway Cay at the first bar we came across (it was 5 o'clock somewhere...lol)..it was a Java Juice...LOVED it...then later in the day, I got one from another bar on the other side of the island, and it was stronger..it was still good, but I liked the first one better....now..on the ship....they will make you anything you want...it was cold during PCC 2.0, so my first drink on board, I wanted something warm to drink...he brewed me fresh coffee (I saw him grind the beans) and then he started to put alcohol in it...not sure what it was, but it was great !!! On ship, they also have the drink of the day...those drinks are at a discounted price, and that's what my DD went for...and if you are hanging around the pool, the crew walks around selling them.

I'm not in for a formal meet either....just something casual...I'll talk to my DD and see what we can come up with...I think there are 3 bars on the island...maybe we could start hitting them after the BBQ lunch one day on CC....will keep you informed.

Good Morning Fellow Cruisers !!!!!

I can't wait until I'm lounging by the pool with a drink in one hand while I'm waving a CM over to bring me another with the other. :cloud9: I'm a rum lover so any drink that has rum in it I'm willing to give it a try. How many bars are on CC?

It is 5 o'clock somewhere! My family of four went to Universal a couple of weeks ago and stayed at the Royal Pacific Resort. Every afternoon we went back to the hotel around 1p or 2p and I would sit by the pool and order myself up a drink when a hotel employee came by. Just reread what I wrote and it sounds like I did that EVERY afternoon but it was only twice. After gratuity was added to the price the drinks were a little over $11 and I couldn't afford to be buying too many of those!

I'm so excited for this trip! I'm leaving DH home with the kids (DS13 & DS9) and will be enjoying some mother/daughter time with my Mom (She's actually posted on this thread as Sukie).

Oh, if you like rum, you will be happy on the ship...they make some drinks with Bahammas Rum that isn't sold in the states...I think you can buy it in Nassau though...my DD bought 2 bottles to bring home...she loves them.

To the best of my knowledge, there are 3 bars on CC...I know we hit 2 of them...

65 weeks to go !!!!

Add us to the list !!!! This is me & my son's first cruise, just put the deposit down yesterday !!!! We have been to Disneyworld every Decemeber since my son was in first grade & he will now be 16 years old when we take our first DCL cruise on the Disney Dream !!! Very excited !!!

We signed up for the DCL ground transfers, but we are still on the fence about the trip insurance !!!

:santa::santa::santa:

Bad news on Friday 03/25 at my job, our office is closing in Dallas & we are having to relocate to Austin, so I had to cancel my trip to save for move, downpayment, & costs associated with move. :sad1:

I cancelled my trip on 03/26 & my credit card has not yet been reimbursed, do you know how long that takes to get reimbursed? It has been 5 full business days to date.

So sorry to hear that you had to cancel.

I don't have an answer to that question.

I am so sorry that you had to cancel your trip. I hope you will have another chance to go on another cruise. :sad1:

Thank you all for your well wishes.
Yes, once we get moved & settled, hopefully we can plan for our first Disney Cruise & see it thru.

Maybe in a few years, I will be back on the DCL Form planning one again.
Have fun guys !!!!

I just booked our cruise yesterday! It will be me, DS(7 at sailing) and my mom. We have booked a cat. 8C Family Oceanview cabin. It will be DS's very first cruise, my 6th and my Mom's 3rd. We are not part of the podcast group but are looking forward to lots of relaxing family fun.

Can't wait for 2 glorious days at Castaway Cay!

I do not know how long it takes, but maybe if the announcement on Wednesday takes the Magic to Galveston, you can cruise from there.

Hello! DH and I are booked on the 6/29 but are going to change to this cruise. This will be our 2nd Disney cruise. Our first was last December. We took the New Year's cruise on the Wonder. 3 of our 4 kids were able to sail with us. As fun and magical as that was, DH and I get to go ALONE this time for our anniversary!!! :cool1: Our kids are not too happy and have threatened to disown us but hey, whatever. :confused3

We cannot wait for the 2 days on CC. We only got to go to the adult beach for about half an hour just to look around. We plan on spending a lot more time there! We participated in the FE last time and it was a lot of fun. Not sure if we will do it again though. Last time we drove so we could pack a lot more stuff. This time we'll fly. We'll decide as it gets closer if we'll be able to bring FE stuff.

What Time Should I be there ??????

I can't wait to see this ship. "Dreamin" for 2012.

DH and I will be sailing on RCL's Freedom of the Seas thisAugust. They both should be about the same size. Either way I will be on a cruise. :woohoo:
