Welcome Mike! The Podcast Cruise sounds like fun. Too bad I didn't book with them so that I could do that. Oh well, I'm still going to enjoy my time on the Disney Dream.

PCC 2.0 was fantastic.....Dreams Unlimited really put on the show.The private concert from Jodi Benson (voice of Ariel,the little mermaid,and Barbie in Toy Story 2 & 3) and autograph signing. The on stage talk from Bob Gurr and Charlie Ridgeway was fantastic. Bob was so much fun. He had more energy then me. And just a fantastic and fun person to talk to.

I'm sure DU will have wonderful events for this cruise too. Along with all the great new stuff on the Dream. I'm a little sad I won't be able to go on the Wonder again. What a fantastic,beautiful ship she is.

We just changed to this cruise! We booked onboard in october 2010 for a May 5, 2011 cruise, but just changed it tonight to the June 24, 2012 cruise to go in the summer and on my birthday! I didnt know it was a podcast cruise until i came over here, so for now, we are not included in the podcast stuff, not sure if we can switch over to it and keep our 10% discount and stuff. anyways, it will be me-art, Wife Lisa, and our Daughter Meghan who will be 16 when we sail. Hope we can not change the date this time!

I didn't know this was a podcruise either. I don't post on that thread or listen to the podcasts very often so I didn't have a clue. I love my TA so I don't want to take this cruise away from her to book through someone else just so I can be a part of the podcruise. Wish there was some othere way to join in on the fun.

So when is your birthday? One of the reasons my Mom and I are taking this cruise is to celebrate my 39th Birthday on June 27th.

You should be able to switch the sailing to DreamsUnlimited (DU) in order to be included in the PODcast events, and you should still be able to keep all the onboard booking perks you got, 10% off fare, half deposit, plus the $100 OBC, in addition you would get DU's OBC credit which is $75 for the 5 night cruise. Sounds like a win-win to me. Drop an email to John@wdwinfo.com, he will be able to tell you what you can do, and get you started with one of the agents.

I did email both John and dreams unlimited, I have to make a whole new reservation with them and pay $200 per person deposit. I would lose the 10% and my onboard credit of $150 i am getting. they did suggest instead of canceling it, just move it to another date, but I dont really want to start over with them, we already picked this date before we knew it was a podcast cruise, so I guess we just wont partake in the podcast stuff and just have fun on our own.

DH (drclaws) and I are on this cruise as well. We were on Podcast 2.0, which was a blast.

Half the fun, though, was talking to other people wearing Podcast lanyards - which is something you can do whether or not you attend the official Podcast events. How often can you know someone's a Disney nut before you say a word to one another.

If you don't already, you might want to listen to some of the podcasts before this cruise. It's a lot of fun when you run into a voice you recognize and get to meet the actual person.

Unofficial meet and greets won't be restricted to the Dreams Unlimited cruisers (no, I'm not offering to organize anything, I'm socially challenged.)

You'll all have a wonderful time - and two Castaway Cay days - heaven.

We booked this one today. We were on the Wonder's Crusie to Neverland January 21-23 and the guy was so busy, we were just contacted this week to rebook. I had no idea about the Pod cast thing. Cool? On Dreams Unlimited's website it does list it as $150 onboard credit. We had a $300 bill on our 2 night cruise so anything helps. I'm going to designate them again as our TA. We're all in for the FE and already have our stateroom # 10568. We were GTY on our last so that was exciting for me to know already. We're planning 3 nights at "home" (SSR) as well...just to decide to do it pre or post cruise.

Now to lose 50 lbs and get mama in shape so I don't look like Pooh on the beach

I feel like I'm on standby here. I haven't been able to to do any cruise stuff. I have been keeping an eye out on sales for clothing and shoes but other then that not doing much.

Add us to the list !!!! This is me & my son's first cruise, just put the deposit down yesterday !!!! We have been to Disneyworld every Decemeber since my son was in first grade & he will now be 16 years old when we take our first DCL cruise on the Disney Dream !!! Very excited !!!

We signed up for the DCL ground transfers, but we are still on the fence about the trip insurance !!!

I don't think so - The podcast just has groups that do their own thing. People are going to book, and some will do the podcast events, but I do not think you need to worry about it being crowded...

Hi Everyone !!! We are on this cruise too. It will be myself, DD, DGD and DD DBF. This is our second cruise (except for DD DBF..it's his first)...we were on PCC 2.0 and rebooked onboard. I would love to meet up with you all. The events that DU puts on don't take up too much time, so there should be plenty of time for all of us to meet up...maybe we could plan something...no, I"m not offering to set it up, but would be willing to help....my DD wants to do a drink around the island on Castaway Cay...any takers?

UPDATE: Sorry guys and gals...I've jumped ship....I changed my cruise to PCC 4.0 in December 2012 on the Fantasy. I wish you all a wonderful time !!!!

How strong are the drinks Cherinva ? I would love to meet for a drink or two (or 3?). Seriously though, I'm in for a meet but nothing that takes too much planning. Just a "Hey, everyone who is interested lets meet on ________at _________ at ___________ o'clock to chat".
