Disney Dream - June 12, 2011

Hi everyone. Well, I am sitting in my living room as packers are packing up my house. My DH, Rob, is down in Valrico, FL, closing on our house. We will move in there right after the cruise. The movers will be here tomorrow to take everything away--yeehaa!

Graduation is Friday and until then---chaos!

Can someone please post again where and when all the dis meets are happening? On Saturday night, we are staying a CI&S, so if there is a meet there, we may make it. Not sure though, as it will be our last night at WDW, so the kids may choose to stay late...

My DD18, Emily, is finishing up the FE gifts today. I have had nothing to do with them, so please be forgiving, as it is her first time. She is just putting together a little taste of Louisiana for y'all. Nothing extravagant, but a little fun, nonetheless.

We are so proud of her, as we found out this week that she is the Salutatorian of her class, and will get to meet Mrs. Obama, the guest speaker for graduation (sorry if I am repeating myself). Apparently, she is a big supporter of military families, so she contacted our school (Quantico High School, Quantico Marine Corps Base, VA) to come and speak at graduation. We are thrilled for Emily because she has worked so hard these 4 years. In the Fall, she will attend LSU, majoring either in speech pathology or special education. She is not sure yet, but she knows she wants to work with special needs children.

Ok, sorry to go on and on, but honestly, I am always a little unnerved when we move.....so I am using the DIS as a DIStraction..

Hi Paige! At least you don't have to do the packing yourself. Good luck with the move. I'm jealous of you moving to Florida. I've always dreamed of living in Florida, a little closer to the Mouse! And getting Florida discounts at the World and, sometimes, on cruises. Maybe someday!

Congratulations to your daughter! That is a real honor. Having a special needs daughter, I really admire her for wanting to major in speech pathology or special education. My daughter-in-law graduated from college with a degree in special education to teach grades K-12. She has decided to teach elementary and is looking for a job now to begin hopefully in the fall.

WHEEWWWW I've been trying to make all these homemade dinners from magazines I get since Sean has been home, but sometimes it seems like we don't eat till 9pm

I forgot your wedding details. Are you getting married onboard or somewhere else and just honeymooning on the Dream?

We are getting married the day before we board and heading on to the cruise for the first part of our honeymoon - then heading to the parks for another week!!

Rose, you are too funny I agree with you. I want to come home from work and read the boards and relax. Usually doesn't happen though.

We are not planning on dressing up at all. Nathan's girlfriend Melissa and I will probably go with capris/blouses for dinner. Aaron and Nathan will be wearing jeans and polo type shirts. We really just didn't want to mess with packing everything that goes along with dressing up (extra shoes, etc). So, we will be casual.

Congratulations Emily!!! What an amazing accomplishment. Hope you guys had a great Memorial Day.

We won't be able to do any of the pre-cruise meet and greets. We will be in Florida but we plan on Universal Studioes 2 days, then Star Wars Weekends at Universal on Saturday! We can't wait to ride the new Star Tours

We will be starting every day there as well!

Paige, I can't EVEN imagine moving right now! Oh wait, yes, I can! LOL We had the movers pack our house, we went to Myrtle beach for a week, when we got home, they loaded the truck and we moved! Thankfully, it was a local move though...not out of state! Good Luck!! And Congrats to your daughter! What an honor!

Angie, I agree, you look beautiful! I wish you a wonderful, blessed wedding day!

Today was a pretty productive day...had to make a mess of phone calls and fill out paperwork for football and band, so that's taken care of. Connor was scheduled for a physical after school tomorrow, but the football coach needs him at the school for a concussion test. He has to do both to play football! LOL Tomorrow I'll call and reschedule the physical. Hopeing they have one early tomorrow. Thursday I am getting my first pedicure! I hear it's very nice!

I pulled out the suitcases today and found a pair of Colton's flip flops, a belt that I'm not sure who it belongs to, our sun hats and an unused shoe holder! LOL For as many as I have bought, I think I need to invest in one of those fabric ones and just KEEP it in the suitcase. Then I'll always have one!

Time to get to bed....the clock chimes MUCH too early these days! Can't wait for summer!!! ....wellllllll, until football and band starts, then we are up early again!!

Hi! We closed the FE list in April so that all participants could get their gifts made or bought. The FE lists are not posted as we have 2 groups so each group was emailed their list. Sorry

I haven't exercised in about a week and a half and lost my motivation now.

I actually took a few days off from excercising because I had been having some hip pain. I think I might have pulled a muscle in that area. I looked up some stuff online about it, so hopefully I can do some stretches and avoid going to the doctor right now. So I went on to Zumba today, and when I got done, it started hurting again.

So if ya'll see me fallen on the floor or something, find the Dis'er that's a Doctor to come help me!

I agree. Just waiting.... So how many of us willing rebooking while on board? Either set date or dummy date. We will probably book a dummy date.

We plan on booking a dummy date while on board. I'm kicking myself that I didn't do that on our last cruise.

Yay!!! It's finally JUNE!!!!!

After waiting all of this time, I can't believe it's almost here! I'm starting to panick about whether or not I'll have everything packed in time. At least we've started packing, but I'm always afraid we'll forget something important.
