DW is asking questions about dress code for the kids. I know for formal night they will be in kaki pants but for the other nights will there be boys in kaki shorts??? Will DS 11 and DS 4 stand out. We will be shopping for cloths this weekend DS11 keep growing so fast makes it tough.

There will 16 cruising on June 12 Disney Dream from South and North Carolina. Tried to follow the path to send PM to organizer of Fish Exchange but I haven't submitted 10 posts so it failed. Do you know if the group is still accepting entried? Any help will be appreciated. Learning the boards is a bit over-whelming.

I think that it is too late for the FE, unfortunately, but I don't know for 100% sure. Hopefully one of the organizers will chime in and say for certain. Either way, welcome! I've added your group to the first page.

Happy Mothers Day to everyone!!! I hope the weather was as beautiful across the US as it is here in PA!

I am hoping someone might help me with the dinners on the cruise! We are on the ship for 5 nights and I am just wondering if anyone knows the breakdown, in no paticular order, and the dress codes!

It's on this thread a few pages back. IIRC it is a Pirate Night (or casual), a semi-formal night, and the rest are casual!

Lots of first here! First cruise at all for many of us. First time Disney cruise for some, second for a few. First post to the dis boards. First time getting my "crafty side" ready for a cruise. I am desparate to join the fish extender crowd. Finally found the instructions in this thread but I haven't posted 10 messages so I can't send a private message to ask if it is too late. Does anybody know if we can still sign up??? Please any and all help appreciated, need to make this a "dream come true" for my graduates!

Although we are from Southeastern Louisiana, I believe there are quite a few in our group from the Carolinas. Where will you all be staying the night before the cruise? There are some of us that have set up mini-meets at our hotels on Saturday night. Also, we have a DisMeet set up for, I believe, 3:00pm the first day of the cruise on Deck 13 Forward (Family Area). Please join us!!!

Tammy - I'm glad you posted about the DisMeet time and place. Somehow I had missed that! Need to add it to my notes for the cruise.

Hope all the mom's had a wonderful Mother's Day yesterday!

Glad people have posted that they've gotten their cruise documents. I knew it was close to time to expect them. So I will definately start keeping my eye out for them. Can't believe how close the cruise is getting!

Today is the start of an incredibly hectic week for us. Rowan has the final for her dual credit History course today. Tomorrow is her AP French Test. Wednesday she turns 17 and takes her AP English Language Test. Thursday is the Journalism banquet. Friday is Six Flags for her Phsyics class. Definately be ready for the cruise after this week!

bairdbeth is the Dis'er that is the organizer of the FE. You can send her a PM and ask, but the deadline was about a month ago. Not sure if she could add you in or not.

We have lots of teens & tweens in our group, too. There is a also meet thread just for the kids if they want to join and get to know each other before the cruise.

Well, we checked our mailbox and guess what!!! We're doing the Happy Dance! Received our Cruise Documents in today's mail!!!!

Can't believe that one month from tomorrow we'll be leaving to begin our journey to Port Canaveral. Taking 2 days to drive because I can't drive 10-12 hours straight being the only driver (my DD doesn't drive). So we will just take our time and drive (leaving on Fri. the 10th) and arrive in Port Canaveral on Saturday. Soooooooooo excited!!!!

Well rumor has it Our cruise documents are here!!!!!! Of course since all my paperwork is going to my mom's since this trip was a surprise for my girls I have not gotten to touch them yet.

We have our room assignments. I will say that the GTY status and the new ship has given us a huge challenge. We book two of our rooms 1 1/2 years ago as 9A QTY. We knew we would get 9a's or better and were good with that. Later we added another room for my grandparents, at that time all the 9a's were gone so they booked what was the lowest category with the request that they be placed near us even in they had to be moved down in category. Well that did not work out quite like we planned. Here is what we got:

Ben, Patti, Morgan and Kirsten Ewing - Room 7504
Gene & Glori Welch - Room 7500
Bob & Mary Welch - Room 7192

Yes you guessed it, my parents and I are on the front row of ship and my grandparents are on the very back row. We have placed several calls to DCL to see if they can help but unfortunately the ship is full. We held off giving our room numbers because we were trying to get my grandparents closer to my parents before we gave the numbers out, but it looks like we are all just going to be glad to be on this wonderful ship and cruise and will gets lots of exercise visiting each other. Should DCL end up being able to move us around in any way we will let you know right away.

Now I need to get moving on my FE gifts these days are passing by very quickly!!

and a new hat for the trip. Also bought the spray on sunscreen!

on the at Sea Day, at 2pm I believe.

AND Magic Kingdom mini pre meet on Friday June 10th 1pm

So Pirate Night, Dress up night and cruise casual? Does the dress up night for any specific restaurant? And Pirate Night I am assuming is the on the deck so everyone is there for that! I am just trying to figure this whole thing out! How to pack and how much ugh...it's just mind boggling! And less than 5 weeks to go!!

Dress up night will be in all three rotation restaurants. Although the Pirate Night Party later in the evening is on the deck, those who choose to dress up for Pirate Night do so also for dinner. The waiters will be dressed up for Pirate Night in each of the restaurants.
