Disney Dream - June 12, 2011

:cheer2: finally got the news my FIL's passport has been approved and is in the mail. Now I can really get into vacation mode. Need to help my MIL decide on what to take and what she still needs to get. Thanks to all on the Dis board for the pixie dust and prayers they really worked.

So glad to hear!:yay:

Good Morning Everyone!!

I have finally started my "cruise box" and put in a few things like stuff for pirate night, sunscreen, etc. I still need to actually print out a packing list to go over to check to see if I need to buy anything else.

Getting so excited now that it is so close!!!

I just packed a suitcase for 5 days and wow do I overpack:eek:

I always pack..... just in case stuff.......:rolleyes1

I can't imagine how I'll pack for our 8 day trip next month:scared1:

I'll have about 5 or 6 pairs of shoes to even start with:headache:

I just checked my credit card and noticed that DCL has refunded us $14 and some change between the two cabins we have booked. That was a nice little surprise! :flower3: I tried on shorts today so I can start getting a list together of things we need. It is getting closer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:cool1:

We booked on our DVC Points...wonder if we will get a Onboard Credit? :)

Happy early morning DIS-ers! I'm up to get on a bus this morning. I'm on the teaching team taking our fifth grade students on an overnight trip to Williamsburg. See ya on the flip side! It might not be June yet but I sure can see it from here!

I know what you mean. Rachel & I just went to Orange Beach, AL for 3 days and I believe we had enough packed for at least a week!:scared1: I'm like you, I pack just in case stuff. Because you just never know!

I'm going to need to really organize our clothes and decide what we'll wear each day and match up everything so that we don't bring too much.

Have fun on your trip!!

June is coming fast!! I hope I have time to do everything I need to do before the cruise (like pack). Seems like only yesterday we were celebrating our 100 day countdown.

See ya soon!!!

LOL, I'm the same Rose. I'm starting to get worried about how many suitcases I'll end up having.

We are going to be gone for 16 days and the amount of stuff I need to pack is really scary. I am trying not to overpack but even with doing laundry at least once on the trip it is a lot of stuff. We need different things for different parts of the trip as well which makes the packing complicated. I hope to have one suitcase with just our WDW stuff in it so we can leave that one in our car during the cruise and I hope to have another suitcase with just stuff for our cruise that we can leave alone while we are at WDW. The other suitcases will be dual usage I guess.

I bought some new dresses for my daughter last night on sale so I think she is pretty much set now. She can't wait to dress up for the dinners. I even bought her her first pair of "heels" - the little ones for girls with the big block heel. She is SO excited about them. :cloud9:

My son has one nicer pair of pants that fit and I hate to buy him another pair just because he won't wear them again before he outgrows them. He will only be in them as long as dinner last since he hates them so much. I am hoping I can just have him wear the same pants at dinner each night with a different shirt - hoping he won't spill something all over them the first night. He also does not have any dress shoes that fit right now. I hesitate to buy them as well just becuse he will only wear them on the cruise before he outgrows them. :headache: He has some nicer black tennis shoes that I am thinking of using for him. I don't think anyone will notice his feet anyway.

I think I am mostly going to go with slacks or capris with various "dressier" tops and DH has his standard dockers with polo shirts. Nothing too fancy. We are going to Palo one night so I guess I will have to pack at least one dress although I really don't want to. I wonder if nice black slacks and maybe a really dressy top would work for that as well. Might need to go out shopping for myself and see what I find.

29 days for us....

How sweet! I'm sure my niece would be the same way.

OMG! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
I promise not to look at your son's feet if you don't look at my son's feet! No dress shoes! We might have 2 pairs of pants, but man oh man, I have never seen someone wear dress pants for only 25 minutes like....my DH! DS will lounge in his at least. Am I revealing too much information?:rotfl2:

I think you would be fine with a dressier top and black slacks for Palo.
Just enough to look good from the table up when they take your picture! I wore something with black lace on top and I was amazed at how nice that looked in the picture. Maybe it was the shock, I don't wear a lot of lace these days. :rotfl:

29 days for us....

Ditto ditto ditto! Rebecca, we are in the same boat! Ship! :rotfl:
I want to shop but who has the time. I may have to wear all OLD clothes,
eek! At least they will be clean.

Happy Packing and Planning everyone!

Ashman, enjoy your field trip!

Rose, maybe you should visit this site about packing light. I don't do it at all,
but I read the site for a different perspective!

ps. sorry I can not remember how to make my comments not appear in the quote part. I'm sure I did that once before...
