What a relief! My husband and daughters and I have passports but my Mom (who is going with us) does not. She would be in a serious time crunch if she had to get one. I'll let her know

Make sure the birth certificate has the raised seal. We had to order one for DH years ago because his copy did not have the seal.

+1 on making sure it is a raised seal. My first cruise, the family in front of me in check in had the hospital ones, not the raised seal ones, they were denied passage. The mom was pretty hot but at the end of the day it was a Department of Homeland Security thing not a DCL thing. As others mentioned should something happen and you needed to cut your trip short and fly home, you can't do it without a passport. It is a closed loop cruise, and it is the Bahamas but at the end of the day it is another country.

FE update! I have split the participants into 2 groups. We have the Sorcerer Mickey group and the Admiral Donald group. The Sorcerer Mickey group is ready to go, but I am waiting on the names or number of guests in each cabin for 4 cabins on the Admiral Donald group. Sorcerer Mickey group consists of those on decks 2, 7, 8, 12 and 3 cabins that are GTY. The Admiral Donald group consists of those on decks 6, 9 and 2 GTY cabins. Each list has 16 cabins/families participating. I will start sending out the Sorcerer Mickey list hopefully tomorrow. I will send the Admiral Donald group as soon as I get the last minute names/numbers. If I don't get them by Saturday evening, I will send the preliminary list out anyway.
Is it June yet?!!!

Thanks! I still don't have a room # and I'm not sure when they will assign them for us that are GTY. A preliminary list would be good, so we can still work on our FE gifts, and add the room #'s to them later.

I just finished making the FE for my parents' cabin (I'll post a picture when I get a chance), and my boys are getting really excited about planning what we will be giving. Of course ... with three boys, their ideas all seem to revolve around food.

Darn -- we aren't in the MK until after the cruise. How about meeting up at a hotel that night? We are staying at the Grand Floridian. See below.



We will be at Yachtsman for an early dinner. Would both of you like to meet at either the beach/yacht, BLT (can non-guests get in there?) or GF? I would LOVE to meet up.

Marci, I think meeting at the GF would be great! I could meet at the GF anytime between 4pm and 6:00pm on Friday 10th...would that work? Unfortunately I have a late dinner reservation (8pm Spirit of Aloha, prepaid, so not flexible). I'm afraid your early dinner and my late dinner might cancel each other out? Let me know and we can think it out so we can all meet. Crystal, what does your Friday afternoon time look like?

We are at WDW June 4 -10 at POFQ then we are heading over to Cocoa Beach for the two nights before the cruise and we are currently planning to do KSC on Saturday.

We can't do Dole Whips on Friday. We have to be at HS for SWW or the boys will stage a coup.

Well Rebecca, it looks like you will be beating us onto the new Star Tours! I hope we will be able to get on it without too much trouble. We always have a hard time getting fast passes for Toy Story Mania. I am not really a rope drop kind of gal so that makes it tough! Good luck and have a great SWW day. We will be there on Saturday. I'm even going to try and be there early. This is why I'll need the cruise after, to relax!

We will be at Disney for a few days before the cruise. A day at Downtown Disney and then one day at MK. We're staying off-site, but not sure where yet! Gotta decide soon!!!

If you had a meet at a Disney resort, would I be allowed to come in as a "guest" or something like get a "visitor's pass"???

If we meet at Grand Floridian I don't think there is any problem with access. I have not stayed at Bay Lake Tower yet, so all I know is what I have read. It seems their pool and 16th floor access is restricted. But I have just wandered over to the GF when I wasn't staying there, to look at holiday decorations.

Would Friday sometime between 4-6pm work for you?

I think I can make it work. It might be closer to 4:15/4:30. And yes -- anyone can get in to the GF.

Marci,,, sure,,, it is okay to do wristbands or stickers, whichever is cheap and easy. Let me know if you don't want to mess with it and I will pick up something cheap. Let me know if I have left someone off of the list. I am swamped at work as one of my doctor friends is ill and I am covering their practice until further notice.

Unfortunately, it is hard to get a lot of work done at that hour when no one else is up to answer my emails! The good news -- that does give me time to try to catch up on the DIS.
