Hi Everyone! Thanks for the GREAT welcome. This will be our 5th Disney Cruise. It is a present to myself for passing the National Boards for Teachers. Tammy, my oldest son, Eric, 19, is also a Special Education Student.He graduated last year and is now attending community college. Maybe your daughter and Eric can hang out a little together.
My two younger ones Adam 13 and Lauren 12 are looking forward to the Aquaduck and Tween club.
They love having the run of the ship. Lauren wants to check out the Teen Spa. Does anyone know how flexible they are with the age limits?

Congratulations Lisa on passing the National Boards for Teachers! My daughter-in-law graduated last year from college to become a Special Education Teacher. She's looking for a job now, since she took the last school year off to be with her newborn daughter and 3 year old son.

I think it's a great idea for Rachel and Eric to meet. Our whole group is planning a meet on the first afternoon just before the muster drill, tentatively on Deck 13 forward. Hopefully we will see you there.

We would love to have a "meet" at the Radisson pool Saturday evening! My DD was able to meet a couple of friends that way for our last cruise. I look forward to meeting Rachel and Eric as I am a Special Education Teacher, but I now teach Special Needs Preschoolers. It is fun to meet students who are the other end of schooling!
I am still taking names for our FE, so send me your info. My DD and I can't wait for the little surprises we will receive!

Hi Lisa! I too am a single mom, traveling with my DS Keegan (8). We are also traveling with my sister, her husband, and their 3 girls.

This is our 3rd Disney Cruise, the first one was just my son and I. I ended up finding a couple of other single parents to meet up with on the boards prior to traveling, and there was so much going on, it was fine!

We'll have to meet up though!

More intro info on us: Keith and I are celebrating our 40th b-days later this year, as well as our 15th wedding anniversary the week before the cruise. Daughter Maddie just turned 9 and son Jake is 5.

Welcome! It's a small world -- I am celebrating my 40th this summer, and Mike and I will have our 15th wedding anniversary later this year.

Actually, Teresa (DMMom) and Fran (TexasDisneyFan) are also turning 40 ... and some others said they would pretend to be 40 again and join us for a celebratory drink. Join the party!

My name is Holly, and I am traveling with my DH, our three sons, and my parents. I had posted some pictures of all seven of us somewhere earlier in the thread -- but it was taken several years ago the last time we were all at Disney World together. The boys have certainly grown up since then, so I thought I should post an updated picture.

Believe it or not, the two in the grey shirts are twins. Brandon is on the left, and the one on the right is Aaron. The one in the middle our oldest, Justin. This was taken when we toured the new Cowboys Stadium last fall, and Aaron did not even want to sit still for a picture. There were lots of boys (and Dads) throwing passes and runing up and down the field, and he could not believe I was making him stop for a picture when he could be running into the endzone.

I am a former high school math teacher and middle school counselor. I am now in a more administrative role as a district math facilitator. Some days, I really miss having my own classroom and "my" kids.

Hi, Everyone! I'm new here, so please bear with me as I get accustomed to how this all works My husband, daughter (who turned 9 on Saturday!), almost-6-y-o son and I are SUPER excited to be cruising on the June 12 Dream! This will be our first Disney cruise; a first cruise for the kids and only a second for my husband and me. (He's been bugging me for 15 years to "take" him on another cruise!)
So... can anybody tell me more about... everything!? Maybe a good start w/b the fish exchange?

Keith told Maddie Friday night that we had a BIG surprise for her birthday... the stinker We got it on tape Saturday night: as we all crowded around our computer I went to the Dream website and played the intro. She still wasn't sure where we were going with this, but then we told her we're going on a cruise--on THAT ship, the one we just watched on the computer. I think all of our neighbors heard the screams!!!! She literally ran around in circles in the front yard yelling "WOOOO!!!! WOOOOOOO!!!"

How cute, I wish mine was that little again.

Welcome to all our new cruisers! I just have to comment on 68 days. Why is it 68 days doesn't seem very long, yet 7 more infusions does? Numbers sure seem to have their own perspective!

For those of you trying to add a person, I was able to add my 15 year old son's best friend last week. I figured that we had the room in our room and this will give my two boys (youngest is 12) someone to hang with so that I don't have to go 24/7 like I normally do and will give my husband time to hang with me -- if he wants to, that is!

If anyone it staying at Disney the night before the cruise we'd be up to a meet.

Bill -- since you've been nice enough to keep the room tour list -- do you want me to bring name tags so that we know who is supposed to be on the tour? Or, since name tags seem to fall off easy I could do those green silicone wrist bands that DISers do. I've done them for a previous cruise to identify DISers.

We're staying at the MCO Hyatt before the cruise. Would love to meet up with anyone else staying there the night before but we aren't getting in until 11 that night. Anyone want to meet up for bus check in or coffee Sunday morning?

I have to say one of the things I love about being apart of this group is checking in every morning and see someone post how many days we have left. It's nice seeing others as excited as I am about those number of days left getting smaller

Yay, Laura, you found us. Welcome on board! So glad Maddie was excited--very cute! The kids are going to have a blast and so are the adults, especially since we'll have all our new friends from here to visit with too!

Speaking of new friends, I know I read many pages ago some discussion about where folks were staying the night before the cruise. We're at the Radisson and I'm thinking others were there too. Has then been any discussion of perhaps a meet at the pool area or something Saturday night? I'm not sure what time we'll be arriving that day, but perhaps a meet sometime after dinner just to say hello?

I missed out on the Radisson deal (all sold out yesterday when I tried to book ) but I found a decent deal at the LaQuinta Inn Cocoa Beach, so unless I hear really bad reviews from anyone who may have stayed there in the past, that's where we'll be the night before cruising. I'm not sure yet what time we'll arrive, but hopefully it will be around 6. Is anyone staying at the LaQuinta Inn Cocoa Beach?

No problem! I have to say, I was the same way when I first starting posting on here - I hadn't been online like this before and I had all the "lingo" messed up and had no idea what a lot of stuff was. Don't worry, if you want to type "normally" as you would talking - we'll still understand you!

I booked my room at the Radisson in the middle of last December. I believe they have been sold out for a couple of months now. Since I've only been on one other cruise and stayed at the Radisson then, I can't help you on the LaQuinta Inn Cocoa Beach. Hopefully someone else here can.
