Disney Dream - June 12, 2011

Good morning everyone. Got up early today to call DVC to book our last two nights after the cruise. It feels great to have our vacation officially booked now!!

Now off to see about getting tickets to Sugarland concert!!! They go on sale in just a bit.

I've been trying to catch up with the 60 pages of threads.... whew!

I noticed that a lot of people are posting pictures. Here is one that was taken in June at WDW. We played golf at Magnolia. It was our first time to play on a Disney course. We had a blast, but don't think any of us are going to make the PGA Tour anytime soon.

Btw, we are staying in room 10656.

Thanks...we did get the tickets, 2nd tier. I guess the fan club members got first dibs on tickets earlier in the week. But at least we're going! We're using that as our anniversary present plus my bday present (just 6 days apart in august).

Rose, this just gives me chills!!!! I don't like snakes, at all!!! I watched an episode of some exterminator....oh shoot..on A&E I think....anyway, the whole rest of the day I was looking for snakes and mice in my house! LOL This is a real concern when traveling in FL. Although, I guess I never gave it much thought either. I am always worried about those dang lizards running in my path! LOL There was another thread about a family that found a snake in their BLT or Contemporary room! If I remember right, the grandma had taken an ill child back to the room for a nap and she saw something out of the corner of her eye. the snake was on the curtain rod. She called the front desk and they moved them to another room. Upon clearing the room, they did find a nest! YIKES! Just because you are on vacation, it doesn't make you immune to the natural surroundings. I know Disney tries hard to make it all perfect, but they can't control nature. it's there, we have to live with it!

Hi...I'm new to this forum! I just booked our cruise this week. I'm WDWCrazzyCunninghams sister-in-law. My hubby and I are taking our 3 DD's...8, 9, and 12 at the time of the cruise. This will be our first cruise and we're all pretty excited. We will be celebrating my parents 50th anniversary and my niece's birthday.

YAY! You found us!!!! Missed you at Wayne's yesterday!! Can't wait for this cruise to get here!

That is THE COOLEST golf cart!!!! I love it! DH only works 1 mile from the house and I keep teasing him that we could sell his Tahoe and get him a cart to drive to work in! I even told him I'd splurge for the sides that drop down to protect him from the snow and rain! He's not interested, but THIS cart, I dunno, might just change his mind!

The golf cart is a one-of-a-kind. If you go down the road almost directly across from the Grand Floridian, you will see the Magnolia Pro Shop. I think Shades of Green hotel is on this road too. The cart sits out there for anybody to see. The cm's there will be happy to take your picture in it. The golf carts that the golfers use are just normal. average golf carts.

goofygal1975, we saw Sugarland and Keith Urban in Nashville last August. Both were excellent, but I enjoyed Sugarland a lot more.

What a chatty group!! That is great. We had a nice trip seeing family and came back to chaos at work. It has taken me 2 weeks to catch up and find time to think about the cruise. I love all of the pictures that people have posted. Here is one from our last cruise.

Did you switch your rooms to deck 8?

It's been so confusing! When we first booked we picked rooms on deck 7. when I looked at the reservation later, it had different rooms all together! Not even on the same deck! Sooo, after talking with a supervisor at DCL, we finally came up with 2 rooms close to each other but not directly across the hall like we wanted. Anyway, yes, we ended up on 8. We'll have to wait and see where Linda and Carolyn end up....could be 6,7 or 8. If you look at the deck plan, we are all on the same side of the ship...just that Gary and jenny are below us one floor.

and I agree Tammy....Kudos to Crystal for being the keeper of the list!! Awesome job!!!

That is cool...I wondered if all the carts were like that or not...lol. I'm glad to know you liked Sugarland! We don't go to many concerts, but I always said if Sugarland came to AL I wanted to see them!!
