Hello Fellow Cruisers!!

Welcome to the newest cruisers to our group! ...

Yes, welcome

and Welcome to Tammy's granddaughter! Just adorable!!!...

Thanks!

We will be adding ONE more room to our list!! Steve's sister and her family...Shawn and Michelle Weaver and their 3 girls...room 8108. Shawn is finally employed again after 9 months, so they booked last night when we saw them!..

Glad they can join us.

Maybe we can have a dismeet and group photo in the atrium? I have seen large groups line the staircase to get the photo taken. Heck, I might just have to do that for my family photo! LOL We can also ask at Shutters to have a photog take the photo and have them available for purchase. We had one taken on Secret Deck 7, but now we won't have a Secret Deck 7 to do that! We'll figure it out!! .....

I would love to join in a dismeet and also a photo.

I hope this finds everyone happy and healthy!!!!
Michele

Thanks.

DH has stated that he doesn't want us to do the FE this time, we spent so much time last year going around and giving them out and since this is a new ship we want to experience everything. If we split up in groups, he may change his mind...will have to wait and see.

Yeah, I do think that, due to the size of our DIS group, we are going to have to split up into sub-groups - - there would be NO WAY otherwise. :thumbsup2

As to us, we are in full swing planning our holiday trip to Disney. ADRs are made (for the most part) but we are deciding on the extras now, which is so much fun!! :yay:

However, pertaining to *this* cruise, we just booked BLT (our DVC home) for 3 nights prior to the cruise, but will likely try and change out to BCV at the 7 month mark. It was nice to finally get to make a planning move for this cruise, since it still seems soooooo far away. :rotfl:

Michele, that is awesome that they are going to be able to join you. I got them added to the first page list. :goodvibes

Good Morning Fellow Cruisers!!

My daughter and I are planning on flying in the day before the cruise and staying at the Hyatt at the Airport. How long in advance should I make my reservation? I don't want to take the chance that I can't get a room. Should I go ahead and make a reservation? Thanks in advance for your input.

Have a great day!!

I agree Rose. I would never be able to keep it a secret. This cruise is a graduation celebration for my daughter, but she knows about it because I was just too excited to keep it a secret. But it's nice to be able to plan the cruise along with her and see how excited she is too.

Mine is getting excited(well as excited as mine gets:rolleyes:) too.
At first he was saying.... do I have to go? Now I keep telling him all the stuff they're doing to the new ship, I send him pics and videos and I had told him of a few people's experiences on other ships ( I probably shouldn't have).....
so now he's actually getting a bit snobby about it and telling all his friends and
co-workers how great Disney is, the whole company ( I do tell him other stuff about it) and how their ships are the best because Disney does everything
spendidly!:thumbsup2

Boy, guess I should work for Disney, I can rope lots of other people in too!

I think the water is OK from the tap...that is what I have been reading. I think I have a mental block when it comes to that. But not enough to spend that amount of money again!!! We already have a smaller water pitcher at home...so If i still feel the need, I'll bring it with us...LOL

:thumbsup2

Here is another thread about the Dream!! More photos! These folks actually got to go ON the Dream!!! I know you should never wish for time to hurry up, but this is killing me! LOL Enjoy!

Wow -- love seeing these pics! How awesome to actually tour the ship while she's being built. :goodvibes

It's amazing to actually see some of the inside and decks of the ship. That must have been a wonderful tour. As I have said before, can't wait to see it in person for myself!!!

Good Morning fellow Cruisers,
I see by some tickers that we're 10 months 4 weeks and 2 days away! :boat:

My find for this week is magnetic dry erase boards for $1 at Staples. I also began stocking up on magnetic sheets for door decorations. :thumbsup2 Should've bought the magnetic sheets online for less money, but I had reward dollars to spend at Staples.

Have we decided on doing Fish Extender Gifts yet? If we do, we'll certainly get our exercise on this cruise with more decks to find people on. ;) I'm counting about 78 cabins  :cool1: as of today (including my little sub-group of 9 cabins not listed on the first page).

What does everyone else think about doing Fish Extenders?

Great find!
I was looking for those dollar boards at the dollar store and couldn't find anything worthy there.

Magnet sheets!:thumbsup2 I do buy mine off of Amazon, but can't say it's much cheaper than anywhere else, it's just that I can't see to find them anymore at Walmart or AC Moore. They've stopped carrying them.

I've done the tag game on my last 2 cruises but I'm not sure if I'll be playing this time, I spent so much time and money on the last 2.

I was also wondering about this, and with so many of us, are we going to divide into "groups" for the FE?

Is there plans yet for us to have a big "Dis-meeting"? That would be fun!

Can't wait to celebrate my DD's 16th on the Cruise!!! We're trying to plan a day or two at Disney before the cruise. We're thinking of doing something different such as Cirque Du Soleil and a Disney waterpark, which we haven't done yet.

I'm thinking of us doing the waterpark too:thumbsup2
My BF is sort of Disney'd out (I talk about it enough and about the DIS;))
so I don't know if we'll do Disney as well, might depend on how much $$$ is available.
If so, maybe just one day at EPCOT, they both love that place.

waiting on the a/c repair man. The downstairs unit is not working right, so it's not as cool down here...tolerable, but not like it should be. Here's hoping it's a fairly inexpensive fix!!!

I hope this finds everyone happy and healthy!!!!

Are all those girls going?
I thought you said BIL's 3 girls are the other 2 coming too?
Boy that would be fun for them. Except your boys would probably like to find some other guys to hang out with.

Good luck with the AC man.:goodvibes

Good Morning everyone,
I like the "split up into smaller groups idea." I wonder if we could split up by decks or something. There are several who haven't listed their cabin number yet (like myself), but here is the breakdown so far:

Deck 2 = 1 cabin
Deck 5 = 1 cabin
Deck 6 = 7 cabins
Deck 7 = 19 cabins
Deck 8 = 8 cabins
Deck 9 = 8 cabins
Deck 10 = 1 cabin
Deck 12 = 2 cabins
Unlisted = 33 cabins

Looks like deck 7 is a "happening" deck. ;) :goodvibes
I know it was hard to go up and down decks on the Magic and Wonder to get to all of the fish extenders, I can only imagine how tiring it would be on the Dream. Maybe we could divide up into subgroups according to the deck or decks. :confused3 I would think the number of cabins per deck would even out a little better after everyone (that wanted to participate) listed their cabin number.

Just my 2 cents for the day . . . Hope everyone has a great day!

Rose, yes, all these kids are coming! Colton and Connor are ours, the oldest of the cousins and the only 2 boys. Alexis and Brendie are my BIL Gary's girls. Then Dana, Sydney and Paige are my SIL Michelle's girls. The girls all get along wonderfully!!! Connor plays with them, but, I think, just for something to do? Colton has pretty much nothing to do with them, but he's 3 years older than Dana, the oldest of the girls. We'll have to see how it all plays out. Colton I am SURE will be in the teen area and Connor as well. Dana will be 13 on the cruise, so she might go there too, but then again, she might stick with her sisters and younger cousins. Who knows.....

The A/C repair was pretty painless! Just needed a new part...looked like a tin can...compressor? Compassitor? I don't remember, but it wasn't as expensive as I thought it would be! and they weren't here but 20 mins? Love it!

Not sure what we'll get into today. Need a few groceries and the boys are wanting to go see The Sorcerer's Apprentice. In theaters today! This Saturday is Steve's family reunion in Ohio, then my parents are coming down for a few days, then they are heading to my sister's for a few days. So the house needs a good once over and the guest room needs made up.

Enjoy the day!!!!

I think splitting up the FE per deck/decks is a great idea. It might make it a bit easier to do that. We're still on the fence about it...but I think we may end up doing the FEs.

I took my niece to the free movies today (Monsters vs Aliens). How funny that she never answered my question on if she saw the movie before until AFTER we saw the movie...LOL She has seen it many time and was afraid we wouldn't get to go "hang out" if she told me that.

abitagirl916, If i were in your position, I'd go ahead and book the room now if you can. I always like to get everything done early that I can when it comes to trips. We just booked our 2 nights at BLT before the cruise and on Saturday we'll be booking our 2 days after the cruise.

I don't think we will be doing the FEs. I really want to spend as much of my time as possible with my daughter, just enjoying our time together. Of course, we also want to meet up with all of you, too.

Thanks for the advice regarding booking our room now. I think I will do that really soon. I'm still debating whether or not we will also stay an extra night after the cruise. I'm waiting until I can book our flight on Southwest Airlines. Right now they are only booking through sometime in January. Once I see what is available on the day we return from the cruise, I will decide if we will stay after the cruise also.

That is great that you are adding another room!!! I think it would be cool to have a group picture taken!!

On our last cruise we had so many people we did have it taken in front of Lumiere's in the Atrium.

The one before we did it in the piano lounge (forgot the name).
