Thank you I almost broke down today and told our son! Ed had to talk me down...LOL It's so hard to keep it a secret....I think I"m wearing dh down...LOL

Hello Fellow Cruisers!!

It's been a hectic, crazy few days for us! We had the families that Steve works with over for the 4th, so I have been cooking and cleaning and readying the deck and patio for the party. Had a great time last night...and I never bothered to take one photo!! shame on me, I know!! The Margaritaville maker kicked butt!! We made every kind of drink imaginable! I did take a few photos before everyone got here though!

In this photo you can see the umbrella lights I put up. Gives a great. soft light!

Here is a photo from the deck through the 2 shelters we put up.

I love to see our list of friends growing!! I have been second guessing doing the FE exchange. Although, we are driving this time, so maybe it won't be as much of an issue as it was when we flew. Someone had mentioned pairing the list down into groups? Maybe that might be a good option??

I love seeing the photos too!!!! Goofygal, our boys will be, and close to, Brandon's age. Colton will be 16 and Connor will be 14. We'll have to get them together!! I won't say anything to the boys until you let us know you've told him! Then maybe they can chat before the cruise!

I am going to find my bed early tonight! I have been staying up too late! Tomorrow the boys want to get up early and go to the free movie, which is Planet 51. I remember it looked really cute in the commercials, but we never got to see it.

I hope this finds everyone happy and healthy!!!

Looks like you had a nice set up for your 4th of July party!! We took it easy and went out to dinner (I had been sick for a few days before). Today, though, DH and I did some yard work, then cooked some burgers out on the grill. Now were watching the Boston Pops fireworks on the DVR.

That would be great to get them together. Brandon is so excited about going on another cruise to be in the teen area again (he keeps asking when we can go again..lol...keeping the secret is killing me) I'll let ya know when we tell him.

I might take my Brother-in-Laws niece and nephew to the free movies this week and next week. They just brought them up from Fl. I told them I'd help watch them while my sis and her dh are working.

We're still back and forth on the FE as well. We had a pretty good group on our last cruise, and it kept us busy. We have time to think about it still.

Thanks for posting the link to that thread! It's always great to see the progress of our "Dream" ship. I too get very excited!! Can't wait to see her in person and, of course, all of my new found friends from this thread. I never planned a vacation this far in advance before, so it's really nice to communicate with other people who are also planning the same trip.

I'm also planning a vacation that's much closer. My daughter & I are going to Panama City Beach, FL in three weeks. Hopefully the oil will stay away, but even if the beach is less than beautiful, we also have relatives of my late husband that we will be visiting.

Hey everyone. I haven't posted since we booked the cruise because I was afraid we were going to have to cancel it. It looks like we will be able to make it now

I'll try to play catch up and see what is going on over the next day or so. Just wanted to add a celebration:

Brandon will be turning 16 on 6/14!!! This cruise will be his birthday present!!!

LOL Thanks Rose!! We love our home! Tomorrow will be 11 years that we've lived here! It's really not a huge house...just about 2400 sq ft. Just the right size for our family.

Been hot and humid today. the only thing that would make it perfect is if I was on the beach...or if I had a pool...neither of which I have today! Oh well...

went to the Farmer's Market today and got fresh eggs, squash and zucchini. I love to make the squash and zucchini on the grill..foil packs with just olive oil and seasoning salt.

Planet 51 was a cute movie! Maybe going to another freebie on Thursday...Alvin and the Chipmunks, the squeequel....or however that's spelled..Number 2! LOL

I've already signed on but since everyone is giving info, I will do the same. My group will be me, my son's Aaron 21, Nathan 18 (his graduation) and Melissa 20. Mine are excited to be able to hang out in the adult areas. My younger son went to the teen club last cruise (on Carnival) It was really just a place to meet other teens. the kids he met hung out and just toured the ship. We all got hooked on cruising then. We are even more excited to be cruising Disney this time

Your son is more outgoing than mine. He wouldn't go to the teen club the last 2 cruises. He wanted to go when he was 13, but his buddy thought it was lame so they never went and he wouldn't try when he was 15 or 17 either.
Now that he'll be almost 21, he'll be hanging with the adults I guesss.
I really want him to see some of those shows anyway, especially the adult scavenger hunt

We've been having rain, rain and more rain. We have a low in the Gulf that keeps bringing up the moisture. Well, at least it's not as hot as it was last week! We are supposed to get rain most of the week. And then there is something brewing in the Caribbean that is supposed to make its way into the Gulf. So I guess that will bring more rain. Hopefully it won't develop into a Hurricane. That's the last thing we need with all of the oil in the Gulf.

It was good but I agree weird.
Didn't you just want to kill that Queen when she kept saying "Off with their heads!"? Shut up already!!!!!!
Over and over and over. That was too much.
Tim Burton's wife, of course.

And I LOVE Johnny Depp but that dance he did at the end......
It just didn't seem to fit in the movie.
