Disney Dream - June 12, 2011

Scott, if i didn't do it last night--it would have been February I am sure. I am glad to help--there's always such nice folks on the Dis. We leave for WDW on the 12th. I am so excited to finally get to see the castle with all the icicles. We don't get back until midnight the 23rd and are having Alan's side of the family over for Christmas eve. I have to get the employees signed up for participation in our simple retirement plan in the next week and have an IRS audit on our money order sales to make sure we are in compliance with money laundering laws :sad2: on the 10th-- 3 stores to decorate and our house--I am pretty sure the theme this year will be simple!

This afternoon we are having Thanksgiving dinner with Alan's side of the family and I don't have to cook--so life is good:flower3: Hope everyone enjoys their Sunday--it's another beautiful day here:)

Whew - it sounds like you have a very busy next couple weeks in store to get you ready for your awesome WDW vacation. We are doing Christmas at WDW next year and I'm soooooo excited about it. I know it's going to be crowded, but I'm sure that it's also going to be very festive and happy.

We are at Bay Lake for 4 Nights.

I can't wait to hear about your trip to BLT!! We only got to stay one night in September but it felt like "home" to me for sure. :thumbsup2

You folks and your abbreviations~~~guess I need to go to the website that one discussion member spoke of to get in to all this lingo~~~Happy Thanksgiving to all!!~
Gloria (aka:fun loving grandma)

Oh, yes, the abbreviations will be aplenty here. What's worse, is that DH and I talk in DIS abbreviations at home too. :sad2::rotfl2:

I am so excited. My mom and dad just got off the Magic and booked us all on the Dream for this cruise. I can not imagine how hard it will be to wait this long. We are not telling the girls yet, need to figure out how and when best to surprise them.

We are:
Patti (me) 41, Ben (DH) 44, Morgan (DD) 15, and Kirsten (DD) 13
My parents Gene and Gloria

Patti, welcome to the party. I will get you guys added to the first post. I think it's very cool that you are surprising your girls. I can't wait to hear what you decide to do. :goodvibes

This will be my husband's and my second cruise, my parents first cruise as gold members, and the first voyage for both my girls. They got us amazing rates on board the Magic last week for 2 cat 9A rooms.

Patti, first off, WELCOME!!! It looks like our kids will be close to the same age on this trip! I have 2 boys who will be 15 and 14! Also, if you have a Macy's near you, they have a CUTE stuffed Mickey, dressed as a sailor! He has a clock with him too. He speaks when you squeeze his hand. I think it would be cute to get these to keep on hand for when you decide to surprise the girls....whether it be this Christmas or next! Here, I found the link.... http://www1.macys.com/search/index....KEYWORD_GO_BUTTON.x=18&KEYWORD_GO_BUTTON.y=23

I wonder about the shows and such too. I think the villain show will be awesome. Also, for formal night, I wear a dark suit and don't really like getting dressed up. I will say that we did have my suit pressed the day we got on the ship becuase it was alllll wrinkled. Also, the pictures turn out nicely so that is a plus. I have a tux becuase I'm a musician and its required when I play at some events...but it doesn't exactly fit anymore haha and I don't want to spend my vacation putting on a suit!!

Ansley is a week and half today and we are already making sure she is a Disney kid. She watched Mickey's Twice Upon a Christmas yesterday.

Is anybody else wondering how crowded the ship will feel?? It holds a lot more folks than the Magic and Wonder. I'm sure Disney will have the crowd control down to a science.

Also, how do I post a picture on here...I want to show my new little one off.

Steven

You'll have to have your picture saved to another site--photobucket or shutterfly or one similar. Right click on your picture and go to properties. Copy the web url for your picture and save it. On your post you will click the postcard looking icon and then paste your url there.

Hi this is Gloria (Scott's mom)~I tried to post a pic!~~~I don't have photobucket or shutterbug~~it wouldn't let me do anything~~all my pics are on my computer~what do I do now.
thanks for help

They have to be saved to an offsite. It only takes a minute to register for one. You could always email a picture, I'll post it for you and then you can work on getting an account set up. My email is badersfoodmart@msn.com

You know, I'm wondering that too. Although I'm sure that the new slide is going to be a crowd drawer, I hope that there are more pools too. I know when we went on the Magic in September, during the sea days, the pools were both very crowded. I think ideally there should be 4 family pools and an adult pool. We'll see...

Posting this for Gloria & Stan

Hey everyone! I tried putting the picture that Paula put up for my mom on her signature. I did and it shows in her signature, but it doesn't show when you go to the thread. Why not? I thought it was because you have to have a certain amount of posts before you can post images, but I have a good bit and it still won't let me post on my username...

Any help is appreciated!

Thanks,

Scott

http://www.dreamsunlimitedtravel.com/cruise/photos/DisneyDreamDeckPlan.jpg The deck plan shows just the 3 pools. We don't have little ones and a lot of the time just go to the deck above the pools. We really don't get into the pool too often.

Steve, Ansley is beautiful!
