I feel if you don’t like that you may possibly be put in quarantine in a non verandah room due to a unvaccinated child. Right now just might not be the time to sail. Maybe wait until restrictions relax or kids can get vaccinated. But for now, they have to do what’s best for everyone’s safety. Personal comfort will be secondary for awhile.

Or book a 3/4 night cruise B2B since neither cruise would have mandated on-ship testing, and the cruises are short enough not likely anyone would come down with symptoms over the course of it after testing negative at port.

Security would make sure you were moved. You must follow the rules of the ship.

I spent a few years on a big gray boat. I know how to follow rules on a ship.

I agree. We are both vaccinated but I didn’t want to spend a long enough time on the ship to start experiencing any problems. This is why we chose a 3-night to start with. I wanted to actually see how they were handling things before moving on to longer cruises.

If a child has symptoms they'll test, even on a shorter cruise.

Hopefully with FDA approval now of Pfizer vaccine for ages 5-11, there won’t be many unvaccinated passengers onboard. We are scheduled to sail on the March WBPC cruise but without children. I don’t know of any scenario that would require us to quarantine other than actually testing positive other than maybe another table near ours at dinner but that’s why they shouldn’t be close to each other.
I wonder if pp’s daughter ever later tested positive.

We tested on the day they told us to and got a negative!
