I've added you to the roster. The roster technically closed in December, but we have had a few families join the boards recently--that was why I began adding people again. It was a group decision to close the list early in December because of the holidays and what not. I'm more than willing to add people to the list--the more the merrier!

Great news! We now have every category room available for the stateroom tour on sea day.

Thanks to all our fellow cruisers who have volunteered to host their rooms so we can all see the different categories.

Information will be posted in the mini navigator (which everyone will receive if you are on the roster) as to the meeting time (1 p.m.) on sea day. Location of the meet will be posted in the mini-nav also.

Look forward to cruising with everyone.

Here's some FE basics that we've posted before for those new to the fun:

It all started on a quiet little cruise known as the first Panama Canal transit. Remember the FE Exchange is supposed to be FUN. It should not become daunting.

Make it whatever you want. Some folks work from scratch and their talents really come through; others buy items that they think will bring a smile to the recipients. We have gotten gifts as simple as Disney pencils, candy bars, homemade magnets, postcards from hometowns/states, etc. Some are simply left in the FE, others are bagged (usually the small bags you would use for candy etc at kids parties) with ribbon, etc.

We generally do a gift per cabin, sometimes with small candy per person. Sometimes it depends on how far we're traveling to the ship (for west coast or overseas the FE gifts tend to be smaller for obvious reasons). On some cruises, we have joined with others and done a group gift - lanyards and namebadges or wristbands. Each cruise is different, that’s what makes it fun.

Delivering the gifts is also a fun experience, also a great way to see the ship and all the cabin door decorations. Kinda feels like being an elf at Christmas. Some folks leave their gifts anonymously; others have their disname, others their first names; whatever you want. When you leave your gift is also up to you; we'll usually leave ours on a sea day. If your gift is themed, i.e. pirate, you may want to leave it on a certain day.

You are all going to have a wonderful time just like we did on the Transatlantic. Ken and Shari - think of you often when I'm biking or seeing a volleyball game and cruisers you will love Ken's Lanyards - my TA one still hangs in the family room. First Timers, Alex and Carolyn, hope they pick you again to do a special dance on the Dream. You were super. Connie, I look for you in the Parks but I do notice you are cruising often - hope Michael is finishing Law School and Chuck and Patrick are doing well. Linda, I swear I saw your smiling face as our 1st DCL bus drove into Jetty Park on January 4 but maybe it was someone else - can't believe I got up at 2:30 a.m. to do that but I had lots of company. It was special seeing the Dream come up the Channel. All of you are in good hands with Linda - she is the most organized lady I know. Here's to you all - have a wonderful Maiden Voyage. Can't wait to read a report when you get back. I'm sure Disney will make it special for all of you.

I am a little nervous since we did not link with anyone for dining. We have never had to sit with strangers before but with hope for the best.

I wish the weather was warmer but with so much to see and do i guess it won't matter as much.

We will let the gate guard know we are expecting a "few" friends, so you should only have to say you are here to visit Scott and Lynn. I would like to encourage car pooling and the use of Disney transportation to alleviate parking problems, the is a boat from Saratoga Springs I think, the have redone the boat system and I am not sure you can still get from Saratoga to OKW, but it might be an option.

The last time we stayed at OKW the bus only stopped at SS at 3 PM for Cast Member changes. Other times it went straight DT. You can park DT and take the boat from there, though.

Here is our current list of those who have said they were coming to the BBQ, if your plans have changed and you are on this list, please let Lynn or Scott know. If anyone else is interested, please let us know ASAP - we need to know how many hot dogs to get!

I think we are looking good on food, if you want to bring something, just bring something that you think folks would enjoy!

I am picky about hot dogs and only get all beef, probably Ball Park will see what Sam’s Club has to offer. If some one wants to bring something different to grill feel free to do so.

As this is a large group and I do not want to upset the DVC Pool Gods, please do not plan on using the pool unless you have pool hopping privileges etc.

We also do not want to upset the Parking Gods, so, if you can, carpool or take Disney transportation! That will leave more spaces to those who have to drive!

Please let us know, via PM or email, what you are planning on bringing and we will up date this post as we receive updates.

Also any help with set up and clean up will be greatly appreciated. Set up will commence at 3:15 ish.

I would also suggest the Boat from, Downtown Disney to get to the BBQ
Ample parking and a great Boat ride!

Bus, Can be taken from all the parks to get to the event also.

Side note : Just looked at the roster, I am across the hall From Scott & Lynn ~~~ This should be fun!

Yep, that was probably me at Jetty Park! Got up at 3:30 and headed their arriving b4 the buses! Loved watching the Dream come in. Even got my "hand" from one of the CM's handing out! Hope to cruise with you again, and soon!
