I used to know the answer to these questions, but need up to date info.

What is the cost of the DCL buses from MCO to port and back?

Also, what is the cost of the parking at port?

Trying to decide on whether or not to do a rental car.

35.00 pp per way

Roundtrip on the bus is $70 per person. Parking at the port is currently $15 per day but there have been reports that it will rise to $20 in january

We got a good deal on a car and have decided to park. With 3 of us the cost is about the same. In the past we have done two one way rentals and avoided paying for parking. We've decided to just keep the car this time and avoid the whole back and forth to the rental place! Getting excited.

Did I read some where that they have a park garage now or am I thinking of somewhere else?

They are building a new paring garage at port canaveral. Last I heard it wasn't open yet but is scheduled to be ready in the new year -- hopefully in time for our cruise.

The FE roster is now closed. Only updates will be made to the roster. Thank you everyone for joining the fun!!!!

Finally starting to get my act together for this cruise. But, still trying to put the finishing touches on our trip December 20-January 3 for Christmas and spending New Year's Eve on the Magic. Jamie actually flies home the 3rd but I'm staying in Orlando until the 6th.

But, did book our airfare with a companion certificate and spent only $308 for the two of us from Salt Lake to Orlando for the Maiden Voyage! And just booked our DVC room at Saratoga Springs for the 25th and got our rental car for Orlando to Port Canaveral. So we are making progress.

Now, gotta get FE gifts ready and the aquaduck honorary fast passes and the mini navigator. Probably won't happen until I get back on the 6th.

Anyway, can't wait for this cruise. And yes, count us in for the DVC picture. (although-just a little secret, the 7 of us that went on the Disney Dream tour in June were all DVC members and Janice in our group brought her DVC Files Magazine and we posed with Captain Tom and the 7 of us in front of the Disney Dream and she submitted that picture to DVC, so maybe we will have that in the magazine too!)

I was flipping through the new Disney Files magazine (the DVC magazine) and came to the section where they show people reading the magazine in unusual places and thought - man, I have to remember to pack my magazine for the cruise. Then - when I mentioned that I wanted to get the magazine into my 'pack stack' (which HAS BEEN STARTED - WOOHOO!), my brother suggested that I see who all in this group is DVC and ask them to bring their magazines too. Then, at our DisMeet onboard, we can gather in front of something that is unique to the Dream and have our picture taken for submission to the magazine. Y'all interested?

COunt me in for the DVC pic ... better put my mag in my DCL misc suitcase!

Hi all!

Just a couple quick questions, please...

1) Did anyone else notice a credit on the form of payment they used for the cruise? I had a $3.42 credit from DCL that posted Sunday on my card... I'm assuming a change in port fees of some kind?

2) I've never cruised with a travel agent before. My paperwork will go to them and they'll forward to me, right? That should be mailed soon, shouldn't it? Isn't it normally 45 days?

Ok, so that may be more than a couple questions - please forgive me!! :rotfl:

When I logged in to my cruise today, I also noticed that the price was a few dollars fewer...strange.

Is anyone else still waiting on their GTY? I check constantly!! Oh the suspense!! :goodvibes

We are in, Maybe someone could bring a few extra copies, of the front page...

or we can have them made on board. ;)

We had an interesting weekend. I worked all day Thanksgiving day (till 7PM). Did the Black Friday thing from 3AM-11AM. Saturday we drove over to Cocoa Beach for the Art festival and to pick up race packets at Kennedy Space Center, saw the Magic in port on the way over, and ran into Scott and Lynn at packet pick up. On Sunday we took the same bus as Scott and Lynn to the Start Line and walked with Scott for a while during the half marathon. On the way home we drove past the Wonder at the port. DCL ship still look much nicer than the other cruise line ships. Alex

It was great to see you!

the port usually opens at 10 with boarding close to noon-wondering if everyone will show up earlier this time.

I am sure we will be there earlier than 10am, and I am sure that we will not be alone!!!!!

Have a great day all!
