I'm going to do some checking to make sure the doors will be "magnetized" on the new ship so we can put magnets on them.....

I am pretty sure ships need to be manufactured with non-combustible materials for safety reasons. I would be willing to bet that they would continue to be manufactered with the same material. We will see........

Been a busy week, However.. I will do an update either tomorrow night and or Sunday morning...

Depends on how tired i am after work ..... :surfweb:

That is what Ken's lanyards are for!!!!

Hope everyone has a great rest of the week...I'm off to WDW tomorrow for a quick ::MickeyMo fix!!!! I'll be back home on Sunday...
Hope you had a great trip!

he is one of the unsung heros :hug::hug: figment is my top
Figment is near the top of my list also!

To all of my family members here on this thread,,,,, I want to let you know that Billy,,,,, despite some relatively bad grades,,,, and with stellar ACT and SAT scores,,,, has been accepted to attend college at Kettering University in Flint Michigan, his first choice. He wants to do engineering. They are known as a smaller school, but, have immense connections with business for co-ops.
In the past, they were known as General Motors Institute.
Bill
Bill - if you are still monitoring this thread - Congrats to Billy!

Have a great day all!

Peter, well said about giving at this season, the Salvation Army is one of my favorites and Toys for Tots, Our Dollar Store participates in TOys for TOTs and you can get a lot for a little, Also if you have a cell phoen you are not using, see if ya have a Phone for Soilders drop box, phones are recycles and profits buy phone cards for the guysand gals overseas.

OK, new Idea for this cruise, with the permission of Ken P and Linda N, as we have a bunch of folks and many we would like to meet. Seems even on other cruises we have missed meeting people even on the Magic and Wonder, now this ship will be bigger and a bunch of us folks,

So what ya think about one of those Ice breaker kinda games, you get a sheet or two of questions about individuals or traveling groups, If you are wearing a lanyard you can go up some one also wearing a lanyard and say Hi I am Scott and I am the the person on Question #?? and you are _____ and what is your question? Could be placed in the mini navigator. Just a way to meet new folks.... What ya think?

Loved it...

Will write up a little blurb for it, a bit later, as details become more clear...maybe some of the info could come from posts and the roster! ????

everyone could be given a certain amount, of chips to give each person?
Just rambling?
???????

did we not do something like this on the 11 Wonder?

then we all got together to go over results ????

Doing Toys for Tot here also.... thru work, and we are doing the local food pantry in Somerset, Ma, as that is the town we are building this project in...

Good afternoon Dreamers! :wizard:

Busy busy last couple days, doing "homework" and visiting with good friends! :grouphug: It was great to spend time with you all!
Linda, Peter, Jenn, have a great Thanksgiving on the Wonder!

Yeah, McAlpin went to the world not too long after he left Disney. Sure wish I could sail on that ship!! Probably one of the only ones I'd cheat on Mickey for... :rotfl: Cost of a "residence" starts at around half a million I think. Can you imagine what the Home Owners Association dues are?? :lmao: I need to hit the lottery.......

Scott
, I like your game idea. And you're volunteering to coordinate it too right.... :rotfl::rotfl:

Great idea! :thumbsup2 TBH even tho' I love attending the meets I often find that when it comes to it I feel a little shy  - so anything to break the ice is fine by me!!! :goodvibes

Do we know how many kids and their ages will be on the ship. My DD loves making new friends in the kids club.

Mine Too!!!!

My girls are currently 12 (7th grade) and 6 (kindergarden). By the cruise, they will be 13 and 7. This will be their 6th Disney cruise (assuming we don't go again this summer .. . . .:rolleyes1)

My DH and I are also a bit shy, so I love the ice breaker game idea.

Can't wait for this cruise - we aren't doing any Disney at all in 2010 :scared1: so my solace is DIS board

Lin

Ken- that's an amazing birthday present! I'm so jealous. Those Wyland galleries have the neatest things. My DH and I really want one of those frogs

Scott- that's a really neat idea. Ice breakers always make things so much easier in a large group.

MLC- Our DD will only be 1.5 at the time of the cruise so too little to play with yours in the kids club but maybe she can meet your baby on the way in the nursery

Is this from the same Kaz that sat with us on the Tortola run???? after that you should not be shy :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2: and yes I can start a conversation with a stone :wave2::wave2:

man I go through withdrawals after three months :rotfl2::grouphug::grouphug:

OK Kids I will run with the Ice Breaker ( that sounds too Titanic for me) will pull it together the closer we get and coordinate with Linda to publish.
