Disney Dream Inaugural Cruise 1/26/2011!

We had some excitement here with tornado warnings last night - I spent about an hour in the basement watching the local news of some of the tornados that were sited. No damage here in Cheyenne - a small town to our east was not so lucky - at least one house destroyed. I know this seems minor to those of you in tornado alley, but it is not that common here, so it is big news.

We had Tornado watches/warnings all night last night, and then around 8:30 the Emergency Broadcast came on and said there was a tornado spotted out by our airport and to get in a safe place. Glad you were okay. Hopefully everyone is okay in the small town that was hit.

Good Morning Cruisers!

I have not heard of any injuries, just several roofs blown off - it was in Burns - you might know that one being near the area. The hardest part was getting the dogs down to the basement, they were fine once I closed all the access doors to keep them in - but they did not want to come down with me - I had to bribe them with popcorn

It was beautiful here yesterday, we went kayaking - 80 degrees - then mowed lawn and walked dogs. Today looks nice as well - not supposed to be as warm as yesterday.

We are going to be staying at the Radisson at the Port the night prior to this cruise, and I was just wondering where the BBQ event is being held... is it close to us? If not will there be another place to pick up our mini navigator/lanyards...

Also just wondering if anyone else will be at the Radission at the port?

The BBQ will most likely be at OKW, well that is the plan for now , but as the group is looking rather large, we will see if we need to find another location.

I have been involved with other groups this large or larger and we have had great meets at a food court, i.e. pop or CBR, so my little grey cells are working away, will wait and see.

DCL is swapping everyone around to cross-train(boat to boat) and everyone else is in vacation mode to get all those out of the way before the crew goes over in Oct/Nov to get the Dream and bring her home to us!
