The 4th is the date the Dream is suppose to arrive in PC for the first time. I am not flying home until the evening of the 6th, just in case she doesn't arrive or if I get different information after getting on the Magic for the New Year's Eve cruise.

I am hoping we see the Dream during our 5 night voyage (that's why we booked it) and I will have Jamie take pictures on her cell phone and send them Peter's way, so he can post.

I will then post the photo's Here. :surfweb::surfweb:

Linda, the crew on the Wonder is very excited as they are going to meet up with the Magic and the Dream, for a photo Op!

was told that this weekend.
and they get to go on the Dream on the 6th I believe it was.

was also told that 2 weeks ago they got permission to dock in New York!

Now that we are close does anyone have a teen going who would like to text or email before the cruise? Brandon is 14 and a freshman this year. The past few cruises he has made some contacts before the cruise and then had someone to go to the teen club with the first few times. If anyone is interested you can pm me and I'll give you our email or his phone number.

I haven't seen anyone say what time they are getting to the port. Do you think people will arrive earlier than 10? I don't want to sit around there too long, but also don't want to be the last to board by getting there later than everyone else.

Hm....wonder when and if they are going to dock in New York?

Well...we do have some people on this cruise (no names mentioned :rolleyes1) that "don't need no stinkin' sleep....and then there are others that are usually "too excited to sleep"...so I will guess that there will be some earlybirds at the port!!!!!

Linda...my guess is that it will be the Magic and that they will start doing some Bermuda cruises.....it would be so close for us to sail out of New York...just a hop, skip and jump from the Buffalo airport!!!!! Maybe I'll get to see that Broadway play on Broadway someday soon!!!!!

Just thinking....Will the Disney Dream still have that "NEW SHIP" smell???:rotfl2:

Thanks. Now you have me wondering what a "New Ship Smell" might be like!!!!!

:scared:

OK, so next Doug question. I am in desperate need of a Dream picture fix. Anything new posted out there, like of progress of interiors, decks, etc.? With less than 80 days to go, I just need to see it!!!!!

You are probably right. My mind automatically went to the Dream and I was thinking how in the world is the Dream going to get to New York before Port Canaveral?

I hope they take the Magic to New York too. We could have another reunion cruise!

Keeping my fingers crossed for you that you'll see her on your voyage. Either way, a 5 night NYE cruise will be fun to do. Seeing the Dream will make it that much more special. Looking forward to the pics when you do run into her. ;):thumbsup2;)

Any idea when they might dock in NY? Being only an hour away....I'll be there for that one.

I would love it if they started doing this. It would be so easy for me and maybe I could book more often....anything to do more DCL cruises.:laughing: We'll have to wait and see. popcorn::

Thanks to Adrienne for this information. John Massey (who played Genie in Aladdin at California Adventure) will be on the Disney Dream. He has his own website and this is what it says:

John will be performing the roles of Hades in VILLAINS TONIGHT!, Genie in DISNEY’S BELIEVE! and Tony (from ‘Lady and the Tramp’) in THE GOLDEN MICKEYS on 3 and 4 night cruises onboard Disney Cruise Line’s newest ship, The Disney DREAM.

He has a great website and if you google his name, John Massey Jr. you can find the link quite easily.

do you need to have the same TA to link for dinner? How do you do it?

No. If you booked with a TA just ask them to link you with others. You'll need the other parties' DCL reservation number, full names and stateroom numbers. If you booked with DCL then ask them and provide the same information. You can link with many people. Just make sure that everyone picks the same dining time.....early or late. :goodvibes

We usually arrive by car between 9-10 am. They make us wait until the ship has been cleared by customs before they let us in. Then DH John drops me off with the luggage and he goes to park. It's not long after that when they start letting us go inside.

Thanks Linda. This should be really good.:flower3:

When I linked a few of us together for Late Dining...you can do it on the Disney website (if you didn't book through a TA) and link them through the modify tab in your reservation. You will need to other person's reservation number and the primary person's birthdate to do it that way. :goodvibes

Maybe this has been asked before and I missed it...

Where is everyone staying the night before the cruise? I'm thinking of getting a room near the port. DH & I are going to the BBQ at OKW, but then maybe we can drive over...I want to try and take the shuttle, and I can drive over in the morning and check in (I will be on vacation that day) and then go back later that night (we are staying in Winter Garden right now). My MIL has said that she will drive us over in the morning on the 26th, but I'm afraid traffic will be bad for them with this sailing and all...not sure what to do :confused3

Thoughts?? :goodvibes

It also seems to me that the servers pay more attention to the bigger tables. Only twice have we had a table for 4 and they were more focused on the 2 large tables they had. We certainly would love to link our reservations- it is more to have a large group.

We're a party of two and would be interested in linked dining (main). Our first cruise we were at a table for twelve (6 sets of two people). It was a lot of fun.

I think it would be nice to sit with other DISers and get to know each other.

We're also main dining and would like to be linked.

First cruise we had a table of ten, great fun, wonderful people.

Second cruise we were at a table of four, our tablemates never showed up. It was very lonely. We finally scooted our table over and joined the four next to us.

My DH and I see plenty of each other, so we'd love to be with fun folks for our meals :goodvibes

Lin

My daughter (20) and I would be interested in linking our dining as well.

We are at Pop Century and will have a rental car (drop off at Port Canaveral) .. plan on leaving Orlando early !

Hello all!! It has been forever since I have been on here. I am getting so excited! I am so silly, I just tried to book through DVC before the cruise and there is nothing available. UGH! I am sure something will turn up. Anyone now what time the port opens yet? What time we can get on?

I also see you guys are linking dinner reservations. The last couple of cruises we have sat with some real winners. I would love to link with some fun people! Me, DH and DS is 8.
