looking to book for summer 2011, this will be our 3rd disney cruise. on the web page it looks to me as the only destination is nassau bahamas. we were hoping to do a 7 day carribean or mexican cruise. i am wondering if anyone found anything different. thanks

Disney Dream does 3, 4 and 5 Night Cruises to the Bahamas. Her future sister ship Fantasy might be doing the 7 Nights, be we do not know until they release the itineraries at the end of this year. :)

But the Fantasy isn't due to start sailing until 2012?

I don't think they will be doing Mexican Riviera sailing in the summer--I think the Wonder is in Alaska during the summer months.

Booking for the Fantasy starts around the end of this year, Fall maybe. The itineraries could be revealed before or at the time that booking starts.

Your summer 2011 choices are the Bahamas on the Dream, Alaska on the Wonder, or Europe on the Magic.

I don't think they will be doing Mexican Riviera sailing in the summer correct! The Dream will be "Stuck" on the east coast until at least 2015 due to the size of the Panama Canal. However, The wonder will be doing MR during the spring winter and fall and going to alaska over the summer.--I think the Wonder is in Alaska during the summer months.
Correct!

At the end of every year Disney will release the itinerary for the year after the following calendar year. so in 2009 the itineraries for 2011 were opened. In 2010 the itineraries for 2012 will be opened. Those should include the Fantasy. I heard somewhere that The only Disney does the 3-4 night cruises is as a "Gotcha Cruise". people who are not sure about cruises prefer to take a 3-4 night cruise and as soon as they get on they love it so much that they then want to take 7 night or longer cruises. So it is currently unclear as to what itineraries the Fantasy will do, but we can hope!! pirate:

Youre part right. The Dream and Fantasy are tied to PC,by contract, for the first 3 years of their service life, in order to get PC to pay the lions share of the port and terminal upgrades, for the new ships. Its true that both new ships wont fit the current locks, but that cant stop DCL from sending either ship on longer trips in to the Carribean, from PC.As long as they make their minumum number of stops at PC.
