I finally booked our second DCL trip! Most of the great rooms are booked already. I found a nice room on deck 9, but I guess someone picked up the room faster then I could while booking it. My alternatives were a room on the port side, deck 9 and there was a review that mentioned a pipe on the verandah that makes noise (water or sewage). I went with a room on the 10th deck, but I've heard it can be noisy. The room is near (and under) the splash pad. Should I have stuck with the room on 9? Can you hear a lot of noise in the morning on deck 10? TIA!

We've been on both deck 9 and 10 in equivalent veranda cabins multiple times. Our preference is for deck 9 because we dislike the amount of overhang that deck 10 has. When on 10, we have noticed some noise from deck chairs (presumably) being moved around but it wasn't really that bad.

That is so funny...we LOVE the extreme overhang. lol :) We also like being so close to the pool deck but far from the scraping chairs on Deck 10.

We have previously stayed on decks 6,8 and 9 mid or forward. One time we were aft and just didn't care for it as much. And we like starboard more than port side. So strange really because I couldn't really explain WHY we feel that way.
Any cabin is going to be better than not being on a cruise in my book. :)

We were on Deck 10-midship on the Fantasy. It was a little noisy at times, particularly during an NFL playoff game one night being shown on the Funnel Vision. We were trying to sleep but knew whenever a big play would happen because we'd hear everyone cheering. We also didn't really like the overhang of deck 11, but I could see people liking it for a little more shade on the verandah.

Neither of these things caused us to be unhappy with our room. Our next cruise is on the Wonder and we did make sure we weren't on Deck 8, which is the one right below the pool deck. But that's really just to see the difference. I wouldn't be upset being on Deck 10 again but looking forward to trying something different.
